2005 TV Match of the Year Nominees
Lord of The Curry replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in The WWE Folder
I almost shit myself when Benjamin did his high kick. Awesome match, easy ****. It's unfortunate that I called the finish from the beggining. -
Simple question. Biased as fuck but I'll go with Toronto.
-
Monkey Paw was fuckin awesome. THE TURKEY'S A LITTLE DRY~!
-
I think it's safe to say that Jericho is losing in the first round of this tourney.

This thead is nipping at the heels of the "sports analogy" thread for WWE Folder Worst Thread of the Year.

Locke is good, but not that good. BTW, 2 more days until the shit hits the fan.

Re-signing Matt Hardy and feuding him and Edge

I say they pair Lita and Edge up before the angle and don't actually reveal the shoot details until Matt returns. JR would have a field day with that shit. -

So I heard. It kinda sucks that we're in the days where the walls of character and kayfabe are thin because back in the day Matt Hardy would've worked other territories while Edge built up a huge heel persona only to have Matt return for the huge surprise pop. It'll be very difficult to maintain any level of secrecy for this angle. Is Jeff under contract w/ TNA? -
Benjamin jobbing the title to Masters is a horrific thought I could see occuring. I'm really starting to hate "Happy Dave" as champ. Ditto for "Fun Lovin' Joker Dave".

Thank Christ that America has Mike to defend her every time she gets shit on. Awesome thread.

Would that be Queen and John by any chance?

Best city in the world right now for music?
Lord of The Curry replied to Lord of The Curry's topic in Music
Alexis has only declined since I heard ".44 Calibre Love Letter" 3 years ago. I could care less about them and their fans now. Having said that, Alexis fans pale in comparison to Billy Talent fans. -
Yeah, it is. Locke had already made plans to make the cradle. It happened to be Claire's birthday. Hence, Locke improvised the "Happy Birthday" line to fit the moment. You're reading too much into this one.
-
That's not really a story or tale, but I get your point.
-
This match kinda reminds me of Jericho/Rock from No Mercy and Jericho ended up working as a heel and still getting cheered. At least during Angle/Cena there was a fairly clear heel/face division. If they aren't sending either of them to Smackdown then after Backlash would be the time to fire up the Benoit/Benjamin feud.
-
Benjamin has the inate ability to win a crowd over strictly on his in-ring work so even if his entrance gets booed I think he'll do ok during the match. The crowd popped well enough for his balls-out springboard bulldog on Jericho during the Triple Threat a few weeks ago and his counter to the Walls that scored him the pin post-Taboo Tuesday was righteous.
-
That really is the best possible scenario for this whole angle. Have it branch off into mini-feuds and include other cruisers and midcarders.
-
But Locke knew, too. Plus he knew it was Claire's birthday, he probably knows that Hurly's a millionaire, and everything else. Didn't Claire mention that it was her birthday to Locke during the making of the cradle? I'm thinkin' she did.

Season 8 is where it started to slide for me and it hasn't stopped since. I haven't watched a new episode of that show in ages.
-
I just got a flashback to HHH/Steiner from the Rumble '03, with HHH trying to get himself dq'd because he couldn't take Steiner down. The crowd's reaction was less the enthused.
-
I wouldn't say that. Sawyer is the type of guy who never reveals his cards all at once so he easily could know about Locke and Kate. Hell, they even hinted that he knew that it was Walt who burned down the raft with the "I'm on the lookout for arsonists" line.

One Night Stand To Receive Little Promotion by WWE
Lord of The Curry replied to Dimensions's topic in The WWE Folder
Bubba would drop a line about how 10 inches of black dick just isn't enough for Lita so the Dudleyz would show her the true meaning of the double team. "Can we say that on TV?"- Joey Styles. -
Good call, Chris, though I don't see the Turmoil match taking card precedence over Hogan/Michaels. Unless they have Davari/Hassan enter the tag match as the last team, win the titles the put them on the line against Hogan and Michaels and they do a double title switch.

They should have Cena come out for no reason and give one of his "controversial" freestyles then just have Gertner come out and blow him out of the fucking water. It'd never happen but one can dream.
