Tag-Team title match, totally did NOT expect to see a title change so thumbs up for the surprise move. It’s funny I did a similar ending to my SWF PPV match a few weeks ago (mimicking Von Erich/Lawler) It just seemed a bit short to get the guy taken totally out of the match, or maybe short is the wrong word for it but it didn’t grab me and drag me into Tony’s world of problems as much as I would have liked it to but a very solid match with a surprising outcome. The between matches segments with the 6 guys preparing were a nice touch, really pushing the match like it deserves to be. Six man tag featuring a run in by Waluigi? I was a bit surprised at how straight it was played, I saw their picture and expected more comedy Ah the Cortez/Megan/Landon love triangle, something you probably wouldn’t know about unless you were in the SWF at the time, I wasn’t but I heard about it. And that “Insert match here” – Just awesome The Bo 24/7 segment was awesome, just how I pictured that title being handled kudos The Knight stays in OAOAST!! Good match and I’m glad to see that we’re not one Pete down after this What can I say about the Street Fight? Other than once again Zack delivers the goods, brutal, hard hitting and the right people almost won that’s how it’s supposed to be, Zack isn’t going to get revenge with a headlock after all – barbwire bat to the chest is more like it! And since I know what’s coming I’m even more excited I’ve always been a sucker for multiman gimmick matches like the Heartland title match so right off the bat I’m there front and center. And was I disappointed? HELLS NO! That was awesome, brutal and dramatic and then Alf really shows that he’s a true asshole heel by winning it in a “Less than clean” fashion and then a masked giant? (funny we’ve got one of those if the SWF as well… nah it couldn’t be?) The promo for the main event – reveals that “the story so far” puts anything the WWE has done in ages to shame. And what a main event, I mean WHAT a main event, at least the actual wrestling part. The ending was high drama definitely with Drek going to insane lengths to keep the title only to turn around and reveal that “it was a set up all along”. That’s now TWO guns in OAOAST’s short history compared to ONE gun in all the history of wrestling (not counting Austin’s “Bang flag” gun) what have we started Zack? Now honestly there HAS to be some sort of repercussion from that, greater than what happened with Zack since he was not in his right mind after what Bruce did. Drek has no excuses, he pulled a gun on PPV and threatened someone for the sole reason of winning a match loaded or not (on the street he would have been on the wrong end of a justified shooting by a police officer) There is only one way that sort of ploy can be justified and that’s if something earthshakingly huge is planned as the follow up to it.

Oh like that's a surprise Spike, I know I'm not shocked to hear that.

Doesn't hurt that I'm a fan of a lot of the names mentioned on the tapes, old school all the way

Faxed releases - this is WCW all over again

This is the terrible Herb Abrams incarnation of the UWF, which was a completely different company. Well I certainly hope that these tapes are still at least decent since I'm the one that bought them (I'm having them shipped from my inlaws in the US so I can see them)

They'll be too busy complaining about not being able to see Angle destroy his body even more in dream matches that didn't get to happen. There is a ZERO chance of that happening

Hot damn it’s a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge show, I haven’t even read all the matches just skimmed them (cause well I was curious to see who won and I don’t have time to read ALL of them in one sitting.) I’m just in mark out city right now. Reading the show I wonder about the status of certain people and hope and wish that they all become regulars in the SWF once again – Danny naturally but I’ve also really enjoyed the Kevin Coyote character and would I mark out for Janus & Aecas back amongst us? Who wouldn’t? While there are two matches to be edited in it looks like the most action packed, “well attended” (read no double no shows or rush jobs) PPVs in a long time, awesome work guys, just tremendous. I’m not going to comment much more right now (once I actually read the matches I’ll come back) But I would like to hear some comments on the International Title match, I’ve been working hard on transforming Bruce from Hardcore “Smash & Bash” brawler to more actual wrestling with an old school vibe.

So now TNA & WWE go head to head over the ever dwindling group of core viewers? hmmmmmm Although if it makes Vince try harder it may actually have an upside to it

Do they really? I guess there is a difference between being a PPV draw and a television draw then? cause sadly I don't see that many "built in" people doing much to push the ratings up.

Hmmmm Niagra Falls - is that US or Canada? since Helmsley is Canadian it matters in the match write up

Oh come on now he's been shaving and showering (and brushing) since he won the International title I have no comments on how often that happened before Joseph Peters forced a "Style consultent" on him though. Hell now that he's beaten Hawke he's even getting the mullet cut.

LOL I put together a match that really pushes Bruce's departure from the Hardcore division and now this Just when you think you're out It's cool I'm game Also on this show: Senior Referee Matthew Kivell explains his Genesis 7 decission to stop the International title match And in a seperate segment: Bruce Blank speaks on such matters as a) Beating Jay Hawke and b) his little "unscheduled apperance" during the Matthews / Dangerous match. If you thought Bruce was cocky before you ain't seen nothing yet.

12 and a half K if I'm not mistaken - and imagine how long it would have been if we had gone with our original plans for a 60 minute Iron Man match Thank god we didn't

Word or other word processing programs usually have a word count option for you. Which is mostly handy for the TV shows where there actually is a word limit to how long a match you are allowed to write. For a PPV there are no word limits at all. I wouldn't worry about the actual number of words in your match especially for a debut match, just write the best most exciting match you can think off (or like me hit everyone with everything not nailed down - then finish the match when you can't think of other stuff to hit people with)

Good thing you didn't ask last night cause I only had about 1000 words by then, if the deadline had been Sunday like normal I would have been super screwed. Now I may just be regularly screwed - I mean 3 falls, second to last match against the longest reigning champion ever? it's got to be huge, I just hope I have time for huge.

What makes you say that? has there been any news on Angle's plans or wishes? Has there been anything other than the "news" that it's rumored that Japanese wrestling federations MAY try to recruit Angle this POSSIBLY setting off a bidding war? (speculation about something that may happen - not really hard facts) I may have missed it but has there been any statements on what Angle's plans or wishes are?
