Did anyone else think Luna should've neded up with Harry and not Ginny? Personally, after HBP, I didn't like Rowling's portrail of Ginny at all. Especially in the seventh book, I thought she was going to pull a swerve and kill Ginny off simply b/c she wasn't that involved in the action. Either that or Ginny resented not being able to help Harry and would leave him over it. Because of the lack of Ginny's "page time" I thought the epilogue didn't really fit. I would've liked to have read a scene where she and Harry reconciled and he proposed or something. But we go from, "there would be time to talk to Ginny . . . to Ginny and Harry married with three kids. I suppose that's what happens when you write that part before finishing the rest of the book.

What is a super twist of fate? Just a twist of fate of the 2nd or top rope?

Where are the spoilers? I don't want to stay up to find out about Nitro's announcement.

Well, several media outlets spoiled the ending of The Sopranos without hesitation the day after.

If anyone not already a fan of soccer is going to watch, they’re going to watch for him to score goals, you know, like Jordan, James, Favre, etc. But he doesn’t score goals typically (that’s just not his role). Fans expect him to be “bending” it all the time and scoring, especially since ESPN is inundating viewers will highlight packages of him scoring like he does do it all the time. However, he’s already made back the money the galaxy is going to spend on him through licensing deals, jersey sales, season tickets, etc. Of course, who knows if he’ll last? He may simply not be able to take the heat. European soccer players (that is, soccer players who play in Europe) have been known to not be able to play it hotter, more humid cities like Houston, LA, or the like.

Mark Henry's "Silverback" Gimmick/Nickname
hyperchord24 replied to zappafrank's topic in The WWE Folder
If they're trying to get him over by having him call himself a silverback, it's nothing new. -
When did the Miz get . . . good? Was it me, or was Nunzio heelin it up? I honestly couldn't tell.

What a match. What was that submission move Richards used?

Good way to continue the boogey/striker feud and repackage Viscera. I hate the name though. Big daddy anything is so hokey.

Why does the WWE keep pushing the "losing streak" angle?
-
That's an awfully busy schedule. Is Larry on any other night of the week? Every weeknight. He booked Jericho and Hart for tonight and wanted a WWE rep. It'll be strange to see Cena against his own show. So why then is one of the company's biggest draws on a Monday of all days?

Wow, Cole and JBL are selling Palumbo's gimmick full tilt. I've haven't heard that much backstory during a match in a long time. They even called his finisher (by it's gimmicked name) before he hit it. I don't think I've ever heard that post '97.

I never really considered that. However, I believe when the decision was made to have Nitro replace Benoit, they were going on the notion that Benoit would be back. Now that he's not, I would think that they're looking to bring in star power. Not that I think they should, but it's what they will likely do given the WWE's track record.
-
Keep in mind that the WWE feels that there needs to be a credible superster needed on the ECW brand. That's why Benoit got moved. So to simply say that a Punk/Nitro feud would work right now is probably not what the WWE are thinking. The belt fell into Nitro's hands and he may job the belt out to a "credible" champ that just shows up one day on ECW. Of course that'll kill Nitro's credibility, but the WWE would never care about that. Benoit really was the perfect guy to legitimize the ECW championship because, since it's basically a demotion, he won't cause to much of a stir about it (or so they thought). They aren't going to move HBK or HHH "down" there, but some one like that needs to be there in WWE's mind. So the more realistic question is not "is it the perfect time to make punk champ?" but "who does the WWE move down there to be a credible champ?"

WWE General Discussion for July 2007
hyperchord24 replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
On that topic, I believe 11 days ago he passed his first title reign's length. How does Benoit's death have any effect on Cena's title reign? -
The ones tied directly to the movie have been out for 2 months or more. Wal Mart has em on clearance now for like 1/3rd off. So I take it they weren't selling well? I checked the walmart website and I looked at the Optimus Prime they had and while it looked pretty lame, I couldn't tell if that was part of the toy line tied to the movie or not.
-
Vince likes it when you work the same moves into a match because he thinks it pops the crowd more than doing something inovative. Remember Bret Hart's 5 moves of doom? And Bret was far more watchable.
-
I can't wait to see the toy line that comes out.
-
What's with the wierd camera angles? You couldn't even see Nitro kick Dreamer's arm.

Ah, Shelton got over is spot-blowing, I see. So, who's gonna be the heel?
-
So, Shelton just has to do what he normally would . . . and is promised a title shot?

If the rumors are true

Seriously, what bad match-planning, or whatever you want to call it.
