Since when does the WWE care about what the crowd does?
-
Based on what Lazarus said, I think Mushroomhead is good. I base this solely on the quality of the music and not the musicians. This begs the question: can music sound good without the musicians being that good at whatever instrument is being played? I don't have a favorite guitarist. If I hear music I like, I listen. And if the overwhelming opinion of a band I like is full of bad musicians, it won't make me not listen to that band -- if I like the music. Who cares if the musicians suck? @ Lazarus: I doubt very much you actually believe Otto and Borland are better than anyone in Mushroomhead. I think you just said that to make a point.

^wow. Just wow. The fact that Corey had elitistprick tags on that quotation should've been clue not to call him exactly that, myself included, so I'm sorry.

I hate fantasy booking

Yeah actually I did know that, but I was talking about major releases that most people would know about otherwise I would also mention Mushroomhead's "Mushroomhead" "Superbuick" and "M3". You just sound like a person that hates a band when they earn mainstream appeal, as if you found the band and now they sold out because other people actually know about them. Then you have to move on to another band most people haven't heard of and since you have such an ear for music you found them before everyone else and the cycle repeats. Have read the TSM top albums of 2006?

1000 Reasons why Late Night with Conan O'Brien

325: The Walker Texas Ranger clips 326: Conan is actually much smarter than John Stewart and doesn't need to talk about politics and have legit discussions with policians to sound smart. -

First of all, you don't actually know if he did or did not compose his own music. Secondly, if he didn't make his own music, that would somehow lessen his credibility? Please. Noble savage falacy. Music is music. If you like what you hear, fine. -
Why clog this thread up with whether this deserves a thread or not? Everyone knows that TSM posters throw away anything remotely consitered nu metal. Not that Mushroomhead is exclusively nu metal, but anyway . . . I think the album is decent. The first thing I did was asess Waylon as a 2nd vocalist. I did like him at first. I liked how he harmonized with Nothing. It really brought a new and interesting demension into Mushroomhead after having listened only to 13. Then I decided to go back to XX. Now these songs blow anything on SS away. People would talk about JMann rapping and I wouldn't understand what they meant b/c he didn't do much of that on 13. But now I understand what Mushroomhead was before they were told by Universal to make a more mainstream metal album. Anyway, the first thing to notice is that Waylon doesn't rap. A lot of people were turned off by that alone and thought he sounded to whiney. The thing of it is though, is that after 13, Jmann wanted to do more hardcore than rapping anyway, so who knows what SS would have sounded like with JMann. That said, nothing on SS has really stuck on me the way songs did on 13 and XX. I'm still listening to those two and have put SS away. I do like Waylon as the 2nd vocalist, but I guess I really miss the rapping.

Women died from over consumption of water

Wow. I just did. And I had to read it at least 3 times. A lot of people make that error. -
"I'm the most overpaid, overexposed sports announcer in history, baby! All I have to do to collect a paycheck is yell baby a few times, baby! If I did nothing more for the sport of college basketball and just showed up a few times and yelled like a madman, the college basketball nation would embrace me, baby!" What a waste of space.

Don't act so surprised. Do you know who we're dealing with?
-
I know it seemed pretty idiotic to think so, but that middle name is going to be a problem.
-
You're from Buffalo, aren't you.

What do you want? A cookie or something? j/k. I'm on part three. I'm amazed that not a lot was really done about this. The banter between Murray and Vince is friggin' hilarious. I'm surprised Patterson got his job back.

WON News + Notes, January 22nd Issue

I think you're right about subtracting points, but I have a feeling that the workers making eachother look bad could come off poorly on TV and expose the business. Plus, I think the booking team would be too tempted to make it gimmicky and lose the shoot feel with heel and face judges, judges purposely not callingit down the middle. -
At least there won't be any 911 911 911 tragedy tradegy tragedy bravery bravery show the US flag for about 4 hours before the game like in 01-02, not that I'm being unpatriotic, of course. I think that's another thing that made me hate the patriots.

Fuck you Bill Belichick, you classless piece of shit EDIT: And I posted this having not read about the Tommy Jackson incident

Waiting for the Chargers' opening?

Fuck Tom Brady Fuck Bill Belichick Fuck the Patriots. I have an irrational hatred for them and everyone who says I shouldn't is absolutely right.

Knox was "Heyman's boy?" Oh lord. Speaking of which, when is Heyman going to stop sitting on his ass and actually book wrestling like he should be doing?

Let's not forget that after the 2000 season, everyone's mantra became "defense wins championships."

How many of these posts above me prove the point about the whole "They've got the rings, respect them" argument. Dude, how many SBs has Kevin Faulk won? Would you call him a great RB? I've said this before here, the simple fact that you've won a SB absolves you of a lot in this society. The truth of the matter is that it takes a lot of luck to win one as well since a football team can't rely solely on the performance of one player.

It doesn't stop there. That's the universal response from most people who follow sports, be it their profession or otherwise, whether it makes sense or not. I know this is really unfair to speculate, but I wonder how the sports world would view Tom Brady if he hadn't won all those superbowls.
