I've said this before and I'll say it again. What reason does Vince have for putting CM Punk on TV? He certainly does not think he owes Heyman any favors and isn't ready to please the "internet fans" anytime soon. And esp. when the crowd was pretty much dead for this week's match.

After the whole Lita/MH thing, this would actually cement his status as a greart heel if they did this.

Does this really need its own thread? Seriously, I like Benoit just as much as the next guy, but come on. There have been 2 threads about him (nothing news worthy) since he's been out. I don't understand it.

Well, Sabu plays a heel doesn't he? He doesn't pose for the crowd, he shrugs it off when the people in the crowd reach out to him when he passes. Of course, he booked as a face, so he is a face. The one thing that distinguishes these two guys from everyone else in the WWE is the one thing they have in common. They're always booked as legit badasses -- heel or face. Incedently, how will the crowd booing Sabu hurt him? You can't tell me they (and you) don't mark out when he busts out an Arabian Face Crusher.

It continues to amaze me how CM Punk continues to get the exposure he gets. It's not that I don't like him. On the contrary, I like what I've seen of him so far (which includes a couple of ROH shows, a match with Val Venis on heat and his ECW debut). But to have HHH and HBK all doubting his ability and knowing that after WCW and ECW folded, no one has ever been able to go out there and get over on their own. It's always been a WWE name/character passing through Vince's strict (out of whack, yes), but strict filters. From Vince's point of view, what does he stand to gain by listening to Heyman, not listening to HBK and HHH and not just putting another roided up bodybuilder or 7 foot hoss out there?

Though Frogg's got a point. HHH could do the job and if Umaga ever does become a MEer or even WWE champ, HHH can cash in his job and have a great case for it.

It's a work to either further the storyline. End of story. It comes Harry Smith, or maybe Brooke turning. Who knows. Or maybe Hogan really doees want out.

That reminds me of Balls Mahoney's terrible sell of Cena's chair shot a few weeks ago. Balls was bent over, Cena hits him in the back with the chair, then Balls sells it by falling backward?

Actually, I think he improved it this week because he actually torqued his headlock, leaning back more and not having a visible hole between his two forarms and the opponent's neck.

The finish to the Balls/Credible match was confusing. After he got DQed, he got up and smiled as though he had just won the match. Why? Did he think Credible just gave up? There was no tap, no pin, and yet Balls thought he won the match? I know face IQs are supposed to be small, but come on. The way I originally took it is when Balls smiled, he knew he got DQed, but didn't care and was happy he used a weapon.

That's the idea. There may be some legal issues surounding the whole thing. That is, if it is the REAL old ECW belt and if they bash ECW and the WWE openly, but I don't know any of the legal mumbo jumbo.

Because CM Punk debuted on ECW, I thought I would bump the thread, as still not many people know about him. I hate to be a nitpicker, but his finisher is the Pepsi plunge and he has a tatoo of the pepsi logo. As far as sXe is concerned, where do people draw the line? Just addictive drugs? Is caffeine okay? That can be addictive. Or vitamin C or A? They're drugs too. Even lycopene in tomato sauce. Look, I'm not a troll. I just don't know a lot about the sXe movement.

Yeah, and it's not like he needs their paycheck anyway since he's got that advertising job in Atlanta

What did they say? I read the spoilers, but I thought that stuff about the ECW title was shown before the tapings started.
