I think I must be deaf b/c on the raw preceding SS, I didn't think Cena was getting noticably booed. I can't wait to see him tonight. It'll be fun to watch if they boo him like everyone says he did last night. I could stand HHH right now. I've heard some stories about him backstage that make him tolerable right now. I could cheer him if he brought the sledge to the ring every match, and during the match, called for its use, in the way the dudleys used to for tables. I don't know. I'm just sick of the 5 moves of doom Cena does. Not like the pedigree is much better.

That's some great wrestling. Tell me, is that suplex he hits at the end his "simonizer?"
-
Recognizing OVW exists I think would be breaking kayfabe to a certain degree, and the 'E does NOT like doing that.
-
All they have to do is have Cena come out and say something like, 'Yo, I paid this man 50 grand... and the champ is still here!" <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's pretty plausible, but i think due to the simple fact that the 'E has aligned Diviari with Angle prooves they're trying desperately to keep angle heel and cena face. So double turn or not, I don't think either are in the 'E's plans (unless of course cena is booed out of the building continuously).
-
I think the first question to ask is how plausable is it for fans cheering him if he does win the belt? Especially with Diviari in his corner.
-
Thanks. I can see now how easy it would be for even a tweener angle to get the belt. Begs the question, though, who beside brock did he feud with the last time he was champ? Oh, and have we seen angle v. HHH?

Smackdown Spoilers from England...

Yeah, they need to really work hard and book him correctly if I'm to believe rey as champ. He needs long programs with the hosses, so he can demonstrate his resourcefuness in the ring. Plus, he needs to win with a small package, and to celebrate, bring his wife and kid in the ring and shake hands and hug batista. That's the way I would believe rey as champ. -
^I agree with you. I think if Cena wins, he WILL get booed out of the arena. Where is SS anyway? If it's overseas, yeah, it's a garauntee he'll get booed. People respect Angle and only boo him b/c people are mindless sheep. But people know he works hard and is a technically better wrestler than Cena, and will cheer him if he does win the title out of respect. That'll really throw a monkey wrench in the WWE's plans b/c they seem to not want to recognize the writing on the wall and keep heel and face defined as they see fit. Plus, I'm sick of seeing Cena v. Angle. If Angle won the belt, who would he feud with? This is important, b/c depending on who they feud him with, they might cheer more of less for him.

The Cena v. Angle match will really only be good if Angle wins. Presumably he will, b/c if he doesn't his head will likely explode

On the subject of one-upsmanship, HHH tring to send a message to Flair, trying to get in the head of flair, trying to win the cerebral war of mind games, trying to demonstrate an example of what he'll do to flair . . . . . . by hitting Val Venis with a chair. OOOOhhh, I'm scared. What about the out and out bloody, hard faught matches between SCSA and Bret Hart? Figure fours around the ring post, focusing on an injured part of your opponent, not rediculous blading, but legitimate blading, real beat downs. HHH hit Val Venis with a chair. Not a sledge hammer, not through a table, not with a tire iron, didn't break his legs with the indian deathlock, no purposely trying to injure your opponent, no. HHH hit Val Venis with a chair, then the move of all moves, the one that knocks your teeth out, the move that ends careers, the move of the century . . . the shotgun blast to the face, the pedigree. Did I mention I hate this feud?
-
last man standing match = count out match. That pretty much ruins it for me. HHH v. Flair in the cage wasn't all that exciting, what makes me think that this one will be? Oh and take that damn IC title away from Flair and give it to a face who needs a push!
-
What did he do then? Just slip out of the hold?
-
Didn't rey rey break the master lock at TT? On a completely unrelated subject: Is it too mark-ish that I kinda dig the shirt HBK was wearing at raw, you know the "rise above" T-shirt?
-
That's what I thought too, but I think the crowd would be confused. I think there needs to be a very over face or heel to interfere, choose sides, then it'll be more obvious. Cena would be very over as heel with diviari. Angle, however, might not be so lucky. Btw, what ever happened to Hardy?

Another decent Raw. And the only reason I say that is b/c there are no McMahons in sight. The beatdown segment with raw v SD was Laughable. When they walked toward eachother and had the group stare down, Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” started going in my head and then I thought they were going to break out into a dance (or just burst out laughing). Masters needs to go. He is Horrible. His look towards the car that Batista landed on for the chokeslam spot made him really look like a monkey (yes, I do want a JBL Masters feud). I think Batsita’s kayfabed injury was poorly done. I mean, it sounded like a sledge hammer (which it prob was) hit the car, instead of a 350-lb man landing on it. Also, there was a huge crack on the windshield wear batista’s head supposedly “hit.” If a skull hit a windshield that hard, shouldn’t batista’s head be bleeding or hurting? No he sells his legit injury. Stupid WWE logic. All in all this whole SS raw v SD is meh. It seems that no one really cares about the feud, mainly b/c they don’t have any real beef with eachother. This whole face and heels unite for the good of the brand is boring. I don’t buy it. I think Cena’s promo was borrowing a little from DX and the Rock. God, why can’t he just do the stuff that got him over to begin with. I don’t know about fans booing him. I didn’t hear it and I was listening for it. I do see the ‘E slamming him down our throats and it is REALLY going to backfire if they keep doing this. I think I would’ve died if one of the fans in the stands took the mic and said “You’re a poser, Angle rules!” or something like that. After the house show v. HHH, I’m surprised they put that much trust in the fans. Maybe they didn’t. Maybe they were all plants. Who knows? Crappy show for a build-up show to the ppv.

Flair v. Murdoch? That's random. Surely they have a plethora of other heels that could serve this purpose. EDIT: Oh wait . . . it's a HHH run-in. My bad.

There's a video of this?

Nice analogy. Fits perfectly. I'm surprised TNA, in the position they are in, are coasting. They haven't made any sort of impact yet (no pun intended). Yes, getting christian was great, but don't drop the ball just b/c you think you've won some sort of battle by landing him. When the radicalz, Jericho, etc. jumped ship, they didn't sit around gloating just b/c they jumped ship, they actually put them into angles.

Another E&C v Hardys wtf moment. Back when E&C and the hardys were "battling" for the services of Terri, before the match to decide who "gets" her, the announcers didn't bother to say anything about the stip before Terri came to the ring, and when she did (during E, C and Gangrel's entrance antics), the three just looked confused and annoyed. I guess somebody missed that memo.
-
The problem is they almost have to copy things from the 'E just so you can draw more people in. Necissary evil?

Is it safe to say that Eugene will be a victim of politics? (As far as his contract goes)

That's how I read it.
