I wasn't around to see most of Cena's freestyling, but I did see the promo he cut that S_D is talking about. I thought it was pretty darn funny.
-
I think another valid question is how in the world did people become so compassionate for HHH?
-
It really wasn't that bad. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Exactly. If you want to talk about bad look at the Orton/Cena match. All the other matches on RAW and SD had clean finishes yet that was the only one that wasn't. I still don't get that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think they were protecting Orton which I thought was silly on a tribute show. I know I'm not alone on this, but I really dislike Orton for reasons like this. They're trying so hard with him and I just really have never cared about him. He's never done anything himself to make me care about him. He is constantly being paired with other people in hopes that they'll get him over somehow. Just a rant. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I completely agree. Randy should've had a EG shirt and the match should've been angle-less (meaning a clean finish). They were very obviously grooming him for the championship, but just cause he's got good genes and is young doesn't mean he's the future! Just look at the Baltimore Ravens and Kyle Boller

Yeah FOCUS. I think that's the key thing here. They need to stop throwing a bunch of matches together, going 100 mph.

Just make up another belt. The mid carders need something to fight over after being buried by Jarret. Let's face it, the world title is and forever will be Jarret's until Panda gets off their JJ-kick. The ME scene is too crowded and the X-division is a division akin to a hardcore division (i.e. only a certain group of players will vie for it). Make a NA title or intercontinental title, just SOMETHING for the mid carders to fight over.
-
If that's true, they should turn it into an angle and say that it knocked the retarded out of him, instead of him losing his smile. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I would like to see it, but knowing the E, they'll probably f it up or just bury him.
-
I guess the question is does double J need TNA more than TNA needs jarret?
-
If he gets released from his contract I thin there would prob be a no compete clause.
-
TNA is ripping off older ideas from the 'E and WCW only to draw fans in. It's smart business.
-
It makes no sense that WWE.com is reporting this. Kayfabe truly is dead. Is Nick's character as well?
-
fixed

Dude, Kurt Angle? He isn't bigger than EG. Besides, I know he's sacrificed, but he's at risk of dying?
-
SPELL IT OUT. Who is it?
-
What the heck were the Ortons doing without eddie t-shirts. Bunch of morons.
-
Yeah, eddie, thanks for the great matches and the memories.
-
His last televised match was with Kennedy, right? He got a win too, so that makes me feel better (no sarcasm intended).
-
If he underrotates on the front flip he'll basically pull a Lesnar SSP landing. . . with a guy on his back at the time. It's not worth the risk. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I see. And there's really no way for his opponent to help him out either. I never liked senton bombs anyway. When they land, most off their weight lands on the matt, not the opponent.
-
. . . the second rope. but so what's so injury-inducing about it?
-
What's so bad about his finisher? It's just an inverted samoan drop, right?

Good show tonight, with a few dlaws, which are forgivable due to the freakin’ world crumbling down on the SD! Bokking team So I guess it’s gonna be Orton v Eddie for the World Heavyweight title, eh? Somebody before the match is gonna beat the crap out of batista, so he’ll be “out of it” for most of the match. I get it now. The WWE is gonna kayfabe the injury to batista, but the problem is, YOU ALREADY ANNOUNCED he was hurt on WWE.com! Of course, if you look nowon their website, that “report” is no longer in sight. Man, they must be in panic mode. So all this really does is speed up the time table for Eddie’s title reign and heel turn. Batista will be out b/c of “that guy” who injured him before the match, and will come back to a huge pop and a built-in feud. I liked the promo on Lashley, but dude needs a mouthpiece, seriously. He has serious facial expression issues and fails at anything other than a suplex. Shh . . . now we come to the best part of the show . . . Mistaaaaaaaaaa Kennedy . . . . . . . . . . . . Kennedy. Seriously, I love this guy. He is it. He had a small flaw in his previous promos, but he fixed it. He used to say, “I hail from . . .” and “I weigh in at . . .” but now that he is speaking in the 3rd person, it really adds a small, but important part to his heel heat (ala Rocky). To the moon, I says! I have one issue though. According to the storyline, were Edge and bischoff in cahoots with the whole I hate RAW thing? Was it all just a distraction so Kane and Big show could beat the crap out of batista? Or was there supposed to be heat between edge and bischoff? Either way there a huge logic gap: there were SD! Officials clearing the way for tbs to get to the ring. Shouldn’t they be trying to restrain him or call security? Maybe Teddy long goes to the ring next week with the intention of firing somebody and calls all those officials to the ring and asks for an apology from each and every one of them and to the guy whose apology he doesn’t like, he kicks in the nuts and fires him. Then, the next week, we see a “doctor” performing surgery on said officials BUTT and pulls various things out, dragging on for a whole 7 minutes that could’ve been somebody’s match time. Oh praise heaven the mcmahons haven’t invaded SD! Wow, got a little off the topic.

It's called the "lambeau leap," but last I watched, niether Cole nor Tazz called it and it's not up on his WWE.com profile. Anyway, I think it's obvious that the WWE is in full panic mode. I mean, if a hundred different people can come here and talk about a hundred different ways they could book who gets the title, imagine what's going on in the actual booking meetings. It's been my experience that (lately) when the WWE is paicking, we get crap(pier) storylines. We could very well see Vince Mcmahon as our next world champ.

They won't kayfabe anything with Batista. They've already announced on WWE.com that he hurt himself badly and prob won't be able to compete.
-
Exactly, and IIRC, Luger, Hall and Nash's contracts were up when they jumped. They just had "verbal" agreements with the WWE that they would eventually re-sign. Then look what happened. Not to mention that Vince and co. are classless individuals and don't care about anything besides stroking their own ego.

I agree with everything that Mike Johnson said, except one thing. The Jericho signing isn’t directly analogous to the Christian signing. When Jericho left WCW for WWE, the companies were very similar in size and popularity. This is not the case with TNA. TNA is still a fledgling company with a smaller fan base. Fans who watched Jericho in WCW picked up the remote and tuned into RAW and suddenly saw Jericho. Fans can’t do that with TNA b/c they might not know about TNA’s existence. They might say, “whatever happened to that Christian guy?” And leave it at that. In 1994, Lex Luger showed up at the first broadcast of WCW Monday Nitro. This started the ratings war. That was considered a big deal. Christian’s jumping ship could be just as big, especially b/c it’s obvious that Spike wants to start another ratings war. The way I see it is that history repeats itself and the WWE is starting to look like WCW (locker room issues, bad booking, holding good talent down, never getting a straight answer, politics). Christian was sick of it and jumped ship. TNA could have a slot on Monday nights by the beginning of the year, and by then, who knows how bad the WWE product will be, how improved TNA will be, who else jumped ship and what kinds of things the companies bring out for the ratings war. One thing is for sure though, we’re in for an interesting ride in the wrestling world.
