    COUGHCOUGHWEEK13*

But in the Ravens' defense, there is a conspiracy to keep the Pats undefeated until their last game, which is on the NFL network!. Get it? A 15-1 Pats team is less interesting than a 16-0 one. By then every cable subscriber will be clamoring for the NFL network!

    OAO RAW Thread 11/12

Playing nitpicker here... But when has Umaga been shown as someone who can organize a "team" for anything? If there was any shred of logic to the situation, they would have had Kennedy or even MVP organize the team. Umaga is best as the hired gun/monster. Still, I know we're not dealing with a logical situation and Umaga is feuding with HHH so that explains him leading the team, but it does make sense for something like that to happen. Maybe everyone on Umaga's team is too afraid of him to question his authority? [/kayfabe]

Alex Rodriguez to opt out of Yankees Contract

I'm a die hard Yankee fan since I was born, and I hate that they sign mercenaries. I think Steinbrenner is an idiot, and I would hope that others do too. But off the top of my head I can't think of someone who is really hated by the Yankee fanbase.

If anything, start selling the saveus t-shirts now, then the Jericho t-shirts after he debuts adding more to your profit.

    NFL week X! DIVISIONAL DESTRUCTION!

Once you've been caught cheating, in the court of public opinion, you've probably gotten away with worse; and the burden of proof is on NE to show evidence that they've never cheated at any other point. And blowing out teams doesn't really prove that you're not cheating. This will stay with them, especially if they do go undefeated and rightfully so.

NFL WEEK NINE!! All my exes live in Texas.

I hate Bill Belichick. I still feel we can accuse him of cheating his way to all those Super Bowl wins. However, I don't think running up the score is bad form. It's just stupid to not take your starters out when the game is essentially over. I think it'd be funny if someone went after Brady and actually took him out for the year. I'd rather someone take out their coach, though. As for the TD by Cassel, backups ought to be playing hard to show their ability to be a starter somewhere.

WWE General Discussion - October 2007

You know, it makes me wonder how long it will take Steph to BUTT out of situations where she's out of her league. It's one thing to be ignorant, but it's quite another thing to be clueless to just how ignorant you really are.

Is ECW about to end as we know it? (ECW renewed)

Just in case there was any confusion, wrestling, is indeed a work. CM Punk wouldn't be the champ on ECW either if it hadn't been for a wrestler's death and a drug bust.

    WWE Folder sucks dick

Pro wrestling is such an anomalous industry that trying to draw any comparison between it and "real jobs" is laughable No, I'm sorry , this is just wrong. There are plenty of things wrestling and "regular jobs" have in common. The big one is politics. Politics is everywhere. It's always a good idea at any job to be well liked by your peers and superiors, whether or not you actually do a good job. Also, there's plenty of backstabbing going on, where a supervisor may not promote someone simply because he doesn't like his "style." If you want to get anywhere at your job, make someone high up on the totem pole like you and more importantly don't make them not like you. And don't give me that "Well, London and Kendrick work their asses off and are just jobbers! Vince takes one look at Kahli and wants to make him WHC!" That stuff happens all the time in real life. Bosses always have their favorites.

    RAW thread for 10/15

Just trolling through old threads (it's been a boring day here) & I came across this. I guess the Raw Ratings aren't on the slippery slope as some people make out, seems like they've been slowly going downhill for a while. So why the recent complaints, why now? Complaints from who? USA network or people on this messagebard? If you mean from the network, I thinks it's because Bonnie's trying to take a more active role in whatever position she holds.

WWE General Discussion - October 2007

What? I do not care who you are, boss or not, if someone starts dressing you down in front of a group of your peers you are well within your rights to defend yourself, and not take it like a bitch. Yes, because when your boss starts acting unprofessional in front of you, doing it right back makes it all worth it, even if you lose your job. Shawn's individual case aside, I'm sick of people thinking that wrestlers shouldn't take crap from people (peers or superiors) who act unprofessional. If the choice is being made a fool of or feeding your family, being made a fool of is always the better option. Granded, this should be taken totally out of context because Shawn can afford (talking dollar signs here) to do and say whatever he wants to anyone he wants.

I gotta side with Shawn here. Vince should've known better than to single out one of the top babyfaces of a rail thin roster.

Comments which don't warrant a thread.

Just listened to "That's me Trying" by William Shatner of his new album "Has Been." What a beautiful song.

ESPN sucks, so do thread closers

Something that made me laugh today . . . I was watching the intro to sportscenter today and they mentioned the Yankee Management meetings had concluded and said something to the effect of whether or not they had decided Torre was staying. I then thought to myself, well if it's big enough news, it'll be in that little box on ESPN news. So I turned the channel, and low and behold, it said "NYY meetings done, no decision on Torre." No ESPN, I will not be sucked in by your Teasers!

NFL Week 6: The Bills Could Not Pay Their Way To A Win

I'm so sick of how good the Patriots are that I just want to give them the Super Bowl right now, and let everyone else play for 2nd place and play that game in February. And fuck all these studs willing to take less money to play for them too.

    The OAO RAW Thread 10/08/07

I was reading the NM thread as the ppv was going on and couldn't for the life of me figure out what they were doing with the title. After reading this, it's still confusing. But really, let's call a spade a spade - this was just HHH getting in one more title reign in his quest to beat Flair, while also putting over Orton.

    The REAL ID Act

Why wouldn't the federal ID work for those things? It helps out-of-staters get beer and get into bars because lots of bouncers/cashiers have trouble with out of state licenses.

WWE General Discussion - October 2007

I, being the cynic, tend to believe the poll is fixed to show Val in the lead so they can do a humor spot with him on TV a la SR. I don't believe for a second that SR was ever in the "lead" in the last poll and that WWE said "well, he's in the lead in our poll, so let's make a joke about it on RAW." The joke was planned ahead and the poll is fixed. It's just too easy to fix a poll and let's face it. The WWE isn't in the business of listening to it's fans.

I don't know if were all reading WAY too much into this or Court Bauer had a sudden flash of insight to start doing some numerology on Jericho and his debut. I'm imagining WWE creative going through his notes like the way Indy looked through his father's diary in The Last Crusade. *reading notes* . . . . "it all points to 222!"

  25. No. It's classic Dusty. Ok so they're both just as guilty.....all teh same, its bullshit. Would much have preferred a three way at the ppv. Good way to push your talent and then demean them in the process. A nice solid three week build to Dreamer getting the nod, then this. Bullshit! You do realize that Big Daddy has been getting a push for the last month. This was pretty telegraphed from the start. Yep. No big shock there. Nice dick heel move by AA. I like it. You all can't honestly say you were expecting Dreamer v. Punk when they've got JM coming off his suspension and BDV who's in line for a push to the moon? EDIT: A waste of the past month? Yeah, that's the idea. In terms of kayfabe, it Lulls Punk into thinking he's going to face 1 of 4 guys. Now, all that preparation is for nothing as now he only has only 5 days to prep for BDV. The way I understand the angle is that AA had this planned all along.
