As is Balls. I can't believe a show with Balls as the #3 face can be the best brand in the WWE but it happened.
-
If he was that wasted, they wouldn't have let him out. He wasn't that important to the skit, although he matched the description of all the clues, so he had to stick around.
-
This Fire Burns.

I think you mean "Walk" instead of "Respect." I would be really confused if RVD came out to Aretha Franklin Of course, I was thinking of the right song but that just adds to the point, that he was still over regardless of what music he came out to.
-
Look at the bright side of things, now he and Raven can do more shoots about who did more drugs.
-
Once again, someone instantly thinks of TNA and still thinks TNA would do things right. Why is that? Also, it'd be horrible.
-
If Charlie Haas come out to Enter Sandman, would the crowd go crazy for him? No. The theme added to the legend but without his ability to project charisma and get over with the crowd from both the original ECW and from the mainstream WWE, having that song as his theme song wouldn't matter.
-
I hate this train of thought, people also used to say "Respect" or "Miseria Cantare" were so integral to RVD and Punk, respectively, that the lack of that music would hurt them. I contend that the music was ultimately irrelevant for Sandman, it didn't hurt but it was more about the persona that was The Sandman. That personality, though severely decapitated, was still evident in the WWE version and that was the key attribute to his consistent overness. Besides, he still cam through the crowd and that was different then everyone else. Things like that helped, big time.

During Raw, I was trying to figure out how after all these years, The Sandman gimmick is still so over with the crowd. He has the all-important factor called charisma and his gimmick is essentially, "man of the people", so he doesn't have to do much to stay over as long as he sticks with that.
-
I figured that was just selling but if you look back, he was sitting on the steps the entire time and laying on the ropes during that segment. Edit: I hate to speculate but that's what we do here, isn't it? Sandman has a history of drug use and saying/doing the wrong thing and he probably did one or the other. It couldn't be a case of "nothing to do" since he was getting used pretty regular as the Godfather act.

Did they have heat going into the match? Or did Michaels just not want to work with Hogan? I recall something about it being agreed that it would be like Hogan did with The Rock where Michaels would go over on the rematch but something happened since Hogan could not wrestle after that so Michaels did what he did since he was to lose anyway. That was Shawn's idea, but Hogan wanted to go over in the rematch as well. The rematch was for a cage with the double finish, I believe. Shawn wasn't in the right. Hogan was the draw for that match. Shawn wasn't getting a rub for beating Hogan. It was a dream match. No one was getting elevated. Shawn went into business for himself there.

Not Tommy Dreamer. Tommy as well but I guess I was still thinking of him as the WWE office guy. Still, BALLS? Outside of his name, I never figured he'd keep himself under contract. Funny how Sandman was one of the final people hanging around during the main event segment last night and is gone today.

So much for that run, back to 300 lbs working gyms in California. Since he was supposedly liked in the back, I'll assume that he failed a test or finally fucked up in the back. I can't believe Balls Mahoney outlasted all the originals. (yeah, there is Stevie but he's never mentioned as an ecw original)

Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released
Hawk 34 replied to Human Fly's topic in The WWE Folder
The murders will rightfully be what he is most known for. His wrestling performances mean shit, just the same as OJ Simpson's stellar career is irrelevant. We still have zero proof the murders occurred because of the brain damage he suffered. He still snapped and murdered his wife and son as well as himself. That won't be forgotten or justified because he also happened to have significant damage to his brain. -
Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released

The Rock is actually openly talking about Benoit on Jim Rome while promoting his new movie. He just said the usual "I couldn't believe it, he was a great guy" routine. I was shocked he openly talked about wrestling, much less Benoit. -
It was never the intention to have to change the course of the storyline. You can thank Kennedy for screwing another angle. WWE did about the best damage control move possible. It'll get a couple skits over the next couple of weeks and get tossed aside.
-
This is hardly the worst thing in pro wrestling. Vick was an embarrassment. This was a killed storyline ended with a hokey comedy finish that'll get ignored soon after shitty comedy skits. No need to overreact.
-
What do they do to follow up on this? A few lame comedy skits?
-
HORNSWOGGLE! Hunter is making this work.
-
Can't believe Sandman is still around, it's a more fun battle royal.
-
Because they stopped the run on the previous attempts.
-
Rudi fumbled once. He still has quite a bunch to catch McAir.
-
I'm sticking with my thought of it being Shane to screw with Vince for making the family think he was dead.

Baltimore needs to get new conditioning coaches if the players are getting that winded running 60 yards.

Twice in back to back weeks. 3 times, actually. Pinfall, countout, DQ. Now does anyone know what happened to tonight's scheduled Kennedy/Cena match? Once again, it wasn't scheduled. Just a dark match for the live crowd last week, it was pretty clear in the spoiler that McMahon was angry at Kennedy for lying and told him to face the pissed off Cena. Which occured after the show went off.
