Punk's not getting jobbed out. Not even remotely. Next, you'll tell us he's getting buried.

I am. Mostly to get a look at Jay Bruce and Votto. I feel good with those pieces in the puzzle for the Reds franchise.

People are still going to Almighty?

What's strange is that Weathers is pretty much the lone guy in that 'pen you could trust with a two run lead in the 9th with two outs. Edit: I'll miss Hatteberg.

IX, never had several good matches. When the best a show can offer is a paint by numbers Steiners match and Curt Hening collecting a paycheck by phone, that show fails to merit any legitimate claim to having several good matches.

He's best served to not comment on this until he has to, which will be when he's doing press for the next movie this fall. -
Live Free Or Die Hard (Die Hard 4) trailer
Hawk 34 replied to Epic Reine's topic in Television & Film
This was a tremendously fun popcorn flick, thus serving the purpose of any Bruce Willis vehicle. The whole pre-release outrage about the lack of profanity was ridiculous but any hesitation to see the movie based on that reasoning is simply foolish. It didn’t detract from the movie unless you were looking for the obvious edits. He still got in the trademark line and he was the signature character. I’m surprised to see a lack of complaints about Justin Long, whom isn’t the most popular actor thanks to his many annoying roles but he was serviceable here and didn’t take anything away. Kevin Smith was embarrassing in his attempt to “act“. Stick with Silent Bob, it works for you. I’ll echo the sentiments about the lacking performance of the main baddie, just an absolute bland performance with very little substance and intrigue. I’ll agree with others here that the Asian was more intimidating and villainous. Don’t wait for the DVD just to see Willis’ throw a few additional profanity laced one-liners, go watch a mindlessly fun summer popcorn movie. This summer has been scarce with providing that, so take advantage of Bruce being fucking Bruce. -
There is no valid explanation to support any claim that Wrestle Mania 23 was the worst of all the events. Besides pointing out as Al and others have accurately stated, WrestleMania XV and IX are by far the worst editions of WrestleMania. It’s in a whole other stratosphere of suck. WM 23, offered a pair of very good main event level title defenses. That, in itself, makes it a victory over a good deal of other Mania events, not to mention the high spot bump extravaganza that’s now a prerequisite for this show. The mid-card match edition wasn’t horrible by any stretch of the imagination and was above the other examples from previous shows. It delivered on the original intention of the event by having a somewhat successful mainstream attraction with Donald Trump. What sucked (Ashley/Melina and Kane/Khali) was kept mercifully short and the other offering was a succinct squash for the faces, something that was done well to settle the crowd after the surprisingly solid World Title match. This isn’t the best WrestleMania and isn’t even within shouting distance of the upper echelon but it’s firmly isolated from the absolute garbage. Retrospectively, this show is likely to be immortalized for the extravagant stage show (which is a theme that will only grow by leaps and bounds in the upcoming years), the two main events and the presence of Donald Trump. Hardly the worse thing you can get from this event. Let me ask this question, what do they have to rebound from? It did fantastic numbers all around and delivered at what they absolutely needed to. That’s the purpose of this event.

Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released

Who are they supposed to send? Viscera? Actually, I'd send JBL or Foley. Leave it to Vince to send someone who isn't exactly going to win people over on the "steroids aren't that big of a deal in wrestling" arguement, because he happens to be their #1 guy. Granted, he is a good talker but I'm not quite sold on him being the best choice. Sending someone who has some credibility outside the ring (again, JBL/Foley) would be wise. Besides, they aren't busy on monday nights. -

Are they a traveling act? I swear this is the 20th time they have each appeared together. -
Yep. I think Joe probably realizes he's better off with ROH since TNA isn't moving anywhere (no new tv deal will change that) and he'd still get paid quite handsomely and not be booked by inept blowhards. Of course, WWE would probably gobble him up quite fast. Joe, would still go back to ROH before working for WWE just to get those dream matches in. The only question, would he sign the 2 year deal with ROH or a special non-contract deal? When you would be in high demand, why stick with a company that is so petty and refuses to pull the trigger.

Everyday, a new detail comes out about this story or events relating to the deaths. It's very much a relevant topic and it'll remain one for awhile, especially, in correlation to the aftermath that may or may not emerge within the business. -
Joe turned down a extension with TNA that was supposedly 3 years. Take that as you will as an indictment of his displeasure with his job. a ploy to get more money, or desire to move to the real show where he'd be taken in a flash. Don't discount a short return to ROH to collect on those dream matches he's itching for. I'm taking this as a negotiation tactic first.

He respects him for his 'hardcore' legacy? They were partners last month? He was the only other face besides Boogeyman?

Jindrak will probably back in WWE next week given McMahon's ego. -
True but it does mean less skits. Besides, the long matches are found on the other shows.
-
Listen to the *stunned* silence.

Ya know, I wouldn't mind WGTT being used as new members of the NEW AND NOT QUITE IMPROVED King's Court.
-
Don't forget his fluke win over HHH that was going to vault him to the main event for good.
-
3 years is a long time. They already said the contract signing would follow this match.
-
I can't believe Benjamin is in the "main event".
-
No. That is Flair. He made a special visit.

I guess that will serve as our 4th of July food fight. A good old spit fest.
