That's bullshit. He has done quite a few bumps and he's capable of more but they aren't stupid enough to have the big monster taking back bumps and such over and over.

No one wants him to be a long term champion but we all know Cena works best in the chase as most faces do. Khali had been built exceptionally well as the unbeatable monster and even if for a few weeks as a placeholder back to Cena, it's a fresh direction. Now, Cena plowed through him and we're supposed to buy that Snitsky is a tougher foe. We're just killing time before they shoot back to Shawn once he returns or HHH's return. Khali had a aura that stood out. Wanting them to put the title on Snitsky is a moronic thought but Khali from a pure business standpoint works.

I don't think that will play a part. I think it's a case of Khali's legs being so long, they just ended under the ropes. The replay showed a tight angle away from showing the feet under the ropes. I don't expect it to mean a thing.

Well, Cena did spend the entire 2006 back and forth with Edge and then a short fling with Umaga (which produced a fantastic brawl that still stands as the best WWE match this year) then a brief deal Shawn that was a decent storyline and wrestling before Khali. Not quite the same. Of course, after Snitsky and whoever follows, then we can start to consider that comparison.

The tap-out wasn't needed. If the purpose was to put Cena over, just finish it with an FU. Since, in theory Khali never been rocked that hard, it would crush him. Not a tap-out when he dominated. It was a very solid main event for the man involved. Cena as always shines in the main event. The outrage here should be hilariously funny. What bothers me is that they ended the show at 10:40. Easily could have slapped another 5 minutes to the 2/3 falls match. Solid show. Opener was a hot match for the crowd although Flair was horrible and Carlito did about 3 moves. The ECW match was a squash with the expected bs finish. Punk/Burke was a good match. The tag match was decent formula. Edge did what you can only do with Batista and that's contain the suck. MVP/Benoit was bang up good although needed another five minutes. Cena got the most out of Khali. Not the best but far from the worst show. Only strong negative really was the shitty soap opera with Shawn.

Commence TSM meltdown.

MVP wins in straight falls at about 15 minutes.

Enjoy it while it lasts. I'm not sure how long this emphasis on WRESTLING will stick around. Hopefully Benoit looks for another pet project to work with for 6 months after this one.

This better get at least 15-18, especially since the main event won't go long.

Well, having that look, being Shawn's former student and making a good impression to everyone helps. He's a solid tag team worker.

Which means Benoit/MVP goes 10 minutes, of course. I like that the main events are so poor or set up for a bad finish, that they won't go beyond 12 minutes which gives the mid-card matches aside from the soap opera segment with Shawn some time.

Good point! I thought JBL said something about King and JR checking in on Shawn's status right now and couldn't call the match. Maybe they figured Raw had too many matches tonight and wanted JBL/Cole to get more time.

Punk basically blew off Meltzer's review of Joe Vs Punk 2. I'm sure Meltzer doesn't like that. I hope this ends quick. Need as much time for the 2/3 falls as we can get.

With the time left, looks like the 2/3 falls isn't going past 15 thanks to that shitty HBK segment.

Shawn's doing a shitty acting job but his wife comes out and trumps him after a horrible match that I guess was intended to be bad ending in a forfeit. Owen voices, of course.

Meltzer disagrees: Was the crowd actually quiet during the match or is Meltzer just pretending they were? This is why I don't like Meltzer all that much, instead of saying anything positive he rather go negitive when it comes to something from WWE. Crowd was quiet at first and throughout until they started to really roll in the match. They followed the match. In Flair's match, they just sat on their hands until Flair chopped and whoo'd. However, that means it was better of course. Shawn's not a good actor anymore. He was gold in 1996 with this. Hey, Shawn's wife is here. Wondered how long before she'd be on screen. Shawn is dying. Oh, well.

Meltzer, in spite of HTQ's word isn't bedrock. He loved the opener I'm sure. He gives matches high praise if the crowd chants THIS IS AWESOME.

The opener went 13 and this match went 16. Good times for each. The matches paled in comparison. Carlito was all rest-hold and a hot finish. Punk-Burke was just a great match with another hot finish. Only difference was that the crowd was hotter for Flair but that's to be expected but the crowd was digging the Punk match as it went. Give the 2/3 falls match 20+ and it's gravy. Shawn's doing his best Jake impression down the ring.

This match is all kinds of good and it's getting great time. Poor G2S. Punk wins.

I enjoyed the Knox match way back last fall but since this means something and he's basically making this match, it's been his best singles match. Which doesn't say much since most have been 4-5 minute squash matches.

I'll be stunned if the tape stays on for 10 minutes. Hell, I'll be stunned if this goes 10 minutes. They gave fucking Flair 15. This should get at least 20 but it won't.
