  1. Ya know, Randy Orton really is WWE's Buff Bagwell.
  2. Debbie can expect a long winded email from JBL pretty soon.
  3. Yes. It's been slaughtered across the board. Mostly because of Austin and the shitty concept. Someone needs to tell WWE they'd have better chances of success if they just have their wrestlers in secondary roles. That's how The Rock started. A handful of the workers could work as actors in secondary roles but WWE insists that their bad acting can transfer to the big screen with big explosions and idiotic WWEized plots.

    WWE stops Hogan-Lawler from happening

Who is booking this show anyways? Looks like they made the effort here instead of the usual legends convention show or even worse, the Legends PPV.

Yeah, Goldberg is a name I totally forgot about. That's about as big as it gets with the non-contracted WWE names out there. Maybe Sting and Angle can enter the arguement. Nash and Page could easily be slotted with Hogan. It's not like it has to be a good match. So that leaves a wide range of names.

Oh, okay good. Guess that changes my stance. If he didn't have his original main event yanked, he might have drawn much more. Hogan doing a tour system would be a good move. Starting another promotion would an mistake but nostalgic shows with legends/old timers and maybe some local talent and a special guest could be good things. I wonder what names are out there for Hogan to pair with in a main event? I'd assume TNA might be willing to let names like Christian, Steiner or Abyss work that big of a match. Outside of the TNA main event acts and the never going to happen (Warrior, Savage etc, etc)...I can't think of many.

Before seeing that the crowd was the same of a ROH show and thinking it would be around the mark of a TNA show, I was thinking Hogan should consider doing a touring type deal. Do a show every other month in different markets in "big" matches with the names not with WWE (Sting, Angle, Jarrett, Wight among others) and thinking by writing his own ticket and doing stand-alone nostalgic indy shows, he could make some decent money that way. Now, my stance is changed.

Eric Milton is working on the theory that if he gives up a bunch of runs right out of the gate, the bullpen can't blow it again. Everytime I see Milton up there, I think the Knicks owners were the previous regime.

Luckily, the new owners like him and won't work to drive him out and they have gone as far to make sure he gets the credit he deserves and when Marty finally hangs the hat, they've basically have his son whom doesn't appear to be much different (at least from what I've noticed since coming over to the Reds call). The pairing of Jeff Brantly and Marty is great. No Buckism going on there.
  10. I watched The Mighty Ducks on demand a couple days ago and that movie just doesn't hold up which is sad because I loved the movie. Emilo will always be Gordon Bombay to me and that didn't change. It wasn't the change of age and time since I could go back and enjoy a good chunk of movies from my child hood right now but Mighty Ducks sadly isn't one of those. It reminded me that I hate when a character in a movie loses his appeal because of another movie/show they did. I saw Charlie and kept thinking "That guy got Joey Potter?".

Who are we talking about here? Marty Brennaman went on a tirade (rightfully) about the atrocious fielding from Cincinnati and how the team hasn't shown a lick of improvement with fundamentals in spite of the persistance from the club that they would focus on it. Ended with "If they don't care, why should I?", this somehow pissed people off. How? I have no clue. Marty's always been candid and harsh when he feels its needed so this isn't the first time he's done this and he'll do it again and again but it's stupid that anyone can be bothered by his honest and accurate commentary here.

What world do we live in when people get upset when a hall of fame broadcaster openly rips the team he calls? We got enough bland homers on other broadcasts, apparently people want more.

Well, most of the good workers are working the ROH shows this weekend but even then you'd still have Christian, 3D, Steiner, AMW, Angle, Abyss, Rhyno and some other acts. Given that the June PPV is in Nashville, they really should have sent someone to this show to promote it. Just poor decision making there. I know Hogan is the draw and that's fine but Rhyno can't be that expensive to get for a night (which isn't the case for Christian, 3D and Angle)
  14. Work til he dies or pays off his debts, whichever comes first.
  15. I'm going to say Torrie Wilson is the big name. Just because. Since the product has been good, I expect the other guy to be Lagana.

I do think that is the only course of action to keep the record intact. Doing that wouldn't taint it anymore in the eyes of the public then it already is. Leave him sitting at 754 would be tremendous but I can't see that actually happening.

    HOT SAUCE AND CHICKEN WINGS

How can anyone really like BW3's aside from being conveniently cheap? Nearly every bar or eatery I've ever been to has better quality wings. BW3's is the McDonald's of wing joints. Yeah, it's there, cheap and it'll do the trick but if you want better quality (and usually not much more expensive), you'll pass up BW3's.

I really want to see Bonds break the record (and he will) in Atlanta just for the intense negativity from that crowd but SF doesn't visit Atlanta until mid-August and I assume Bonds will have already reached that mark by then. He'd get a horrible reaction everywhere aside from The Bay Area, so it doesn't matter really but the reaction from Atlanta or perhaps LA would be best. Here's another factor, how many walks will this guy see once he ties the record? No pitcher will want to be the guy that gave him that record.

    WWE stops Hogan-Lawler from happening

Lawyer's supposed to quit his job for a house show? Despite the fact WWE has always allowed him to work indy shows in Memphis? He should lose his job because Vince is a jilted lover? He didn't BAIL on it. He's under a contract. If he quit, he couldn't work the show anyways.
  23. Granted there is a parallel between Orton and Hall, although at drastic ends but I really just wanted to see them play off Orton's actions by kayfabing that he no-showed which serves as an additional punishment and it doesn't hurt since no one buys the show for him. Having him do the fits and such probably isn't a smart move but having him show a change in character can't hurt. Be more negligent, lose matches by not putting effort. It's been done many times but Orton's been doing the same thing for 4 years and hasn't moved a inch. Changing him around is a risk they need to take since they won't pull the trigger and yank him.

    WWE stops Hogan-Lawler from happening

How is that karma? Hogan still has a big draw and will make his money regardless. Vince will crawl back to Hogan again in a couple of years anyways. They feel the need because they always refuse to let talent work even the smallest promotions. We've seen them take talent off ROH shows, legends conventions and even tribute shows. Even unused JTTS like Richards were yanked off booked shows. WWE had a arguement with Lawyer although he's been allowed to work memphis shows in the course of his tenure with WWE being an on screen character but since Vince is in another lover's quarrel with Hogan, Lawler gets yanked from it citing a b.s purpose. Gibson is beyond ludicrous. You can't even support that decision.
  25. I would like to see WWE play off on this. JR eluded that Orton might not show up. Have him 'no-show' the PPV (it punishes him by not giving him the main event spot) but also gives a new spin on his character. They've already admited he has issues with temper and following conduct. They already had the T.O character done, go with Pacman now. Just have Orton throw fits, be caught in bad situations and showing a general lack of concern about his career. It's a better route then to keep the same old "DESTINY" routine going from him. Would it hurt his status any more then it currently is?
