Plently of people have hair color changes over years time.

What I loved about the spot besides the actual effect and impact along the tremendous selling from each men was that they built it as if we should expect a POUNCE~! through the table since that'd be the seemingly obvious spot only for Elijah to come out of nowhere with that spot. Tremendous finish.

Well, as Giant Gonzales is permanently confined to a wheelchair and i believe, destitute, I would say the guy who played Giant Gonzales is much worse..off. But wrestling-wise, Khali doesn't wear a fake muscle body suit with/without fake hair, so Gonzales is worse. El Gigante wasn't a bad face at all. Sure, he couldn't work worth a shit but he was good in that big tall goofy good guy role. Khali, has a slight edge in that he's more physically imposing and doesn't seem like he'll break so easily.

God, that's horrible news. I've always felt the only good thing Bob Holly ever did in his career was indirectly helping Matt discover about his situation that could have gone undetected before anything could be done.

Amazingly, I believe he wore that same exact jacket at the Royal Rumble this year.

What is the theme for next week? Shouldn't it be TOP 40, by now?

I have no qualms about Gina's departure. While she might have been slightly more substantial in her ability in contrast to the inferior acts, she didn't have enough to beat out the big three girls (and I still stand that Jordin chances seem better then at least LaKisha and possibly even Melinda, given her string of flawlessness, might make her susceptible with voter confidence, we've seen that before) and Haley, is the looker of the bunch and while she's been on the edge frequently, that's keeping her alive in this game. Gina, after abandoning her alternative edge in favor looking more mainstream (which is quite a oddity in itself) and with the Paint It Black debacle exposing her severe flaws in not just performing but what was supposed to be her niche genre really didn't have much chance. It's really between two of the big three and Blake. Sanjaya will survive beyond the two other shit males, the glamour girl but per tradition, the train will derail. AI knows not to let him get further and they'll skew it to go that direction.

Give up that "IT'S NOT THE SAME!" sentiment. It's a moronic arguement that holds zero weight in assessing the value and quality of this product. It's a brand name. They openly attribute that it's not the same as the "original" ECW but as a extension of the sports entertainment model. The quality of the show doesn't rest solely in the title of the show. Why does it have to be a show of "extreme"? ECW, as I stated before was far more then just hardcore wrestling. Characters like CM Punk would have been the central forces in the original ECW and ECW had big men as well in the mold of Lashley. What this shows has right now that it didn't at first by any stretch is a direction and that's attributed to a great foundation at the head of the creative team.

the 2 minutes being wasted on Kelly can be use as a short promo for somebody 45 seconds and it's hardly a big issue at all. It's not just Kelly, anyways. She's not even the focal point of that group anymore. Besides, you have a problem with Brooke Adams?

Nothing is wrong. It's not a show that is a complete mess like TNA. It's a solid 60 minute wrestling program. Wisely they don't have 20 angles going at once. It's typically a formula style, which Raw and Smackdown also follow but because of the condense time and roster, it's different. They are establishing an important storyline that intregrates a great percentage of the workers. The matches on ECW are usually with the exception of the usual Lashley main event or Snitsky squash, very solid to even great like last night's main event. They have two key faces (Punk and Lashley), with the secondary faces equally established (Originals) and the main heels. It had alot of problems upon its inception from booking, and talent usage but since the creative regime shift, it has been very solid. Not at the level of Smackdown but much more consistant then Raw has been and in a comparative sense, far ahead of TNA.

Original storylines, characters. Straight up wrestling, luchadore high flying wrestling, the aura of the crowd, the family feeling that came with the promotion. ECW wasn't CZW. The hardcore stuff got the most attention but it was the characters and storylines back brought people back every week.
-
Hell, Punk did piss off the wrong people (Stephanie, Arn, Finlay etc, etc) and still got over and is getting a great push. As long as Vince sees something, you're safe no matter how much the agents hate it. Cabana is a fantastic promo, does great comedy skits which McMahon will adore.
-
That's why people loved the old ECW because of all the violence and brutality No. That played a part but there was much more to ECW then hardcore wrestling.

I know Helen Hunt was still doing Mad About You when she won the Oscar. Tremendous episode as always. Set alot great stuff, fantastic direction and the story was just superb. The multiple death scene at the end should be a pretty interesting story.
-
All they really need to do is get a real challenger for Lashley but obviously it'll be Snitsky and the carousel of suck will continue but as long as the Punk Vs New Breed Vs Originals deal maintains as the top program that should be fine. Adding 3-4 more single workers or teams seperate is fine but again, it's a good balance right now.
-
Actually, weren't a good deal of them paired up? Nitro-Miz, Helms-Chavo (although that looks more regular), Venis-Viscera(on again, off again), Kenny-Masters, Michaels-Cena (of course). Yes, adding a tag division would help if they used Originals, New Breed, WGTT and perhaps SCS as well but can't just jump all of them on ECW. As I said earlier, can't expand the roster so big with it being a 60 minute show. Burchil looks nothing like he does with the pirate gimmick and that was awhile ago. It's forgotten. Adding two-three teams would be fine but nothing more extreme.
-
Tue, adding people like Burchil, Knoble and WGTT could help but I think since it's a 60 minute show, having a smaller roster works for right now. The originals probably aren't hanging around past this angle, so I think once that ends, you can cycle new talent onto the show. No need to overload the show right now when it's a good balance.
-
Looks like Sharmell turned on Booker for not going for the win instead of saving her. If they would just turn Matt into a full heel. Helms and Chavo have been teaming lately and Jeff apparently can work any show he wants at any time. I assume that Long requested Raw workers in exchange for sending Smackdown wrestlers over to Raw.
-
It's not like its fodder. Every show uses the same people and usually in the same cycle. They have two central storylines and a champion that seems to be set working people from the other brands. The Stable Wars is a fine enough program for the C show. Punk keeps getting built up into a bigger star and is integrated as a key figure in the main storyline. Tonight's main event was a departure from the typical Raw main event and is doing a good job of keeping this storyline going and Punk hasn't even gotten truly involved yet. That opens a whole new world. Yes, you'll get Snitsky but that's one generic and pointless character while other shows are covered with them.
-
At least we're getting a good plunder main event instead of the generic Lashley match, Punk gets a strong victory and sells convincingly and aside from very brief Snitsky match, this show is way ahead of Raw. TNA needs to learn from ECW in how to use an entire roster without rushing 10 matches in 42 minutes with dumb skits and gimmicks.

Pounce through table coming.

Wrong side of the chair there.

Sandy has a new shirt.

Are these two going to continue for the next few weeks? I mean, unless they do the scary Lashley-Snitsky program...everyone else that isn't a jobber is doing the stable wars thing. Man, Holly is reaching Luger/Angle levels of turns. I think this is his 4th this year alone.
