I'm assuming that RVD goes into "cocky surfer dude" heel mode like he was when he went with the Mr. Monday Night persona? I don't think he can pull off any kind of a serious heel. That wouldn't keep him as a heel. He can cut a serious promo when he needs to. Punk would carry that promo war anyways. Well, he wouldn't need to stay heel for long, would he? His contract isn't too much longer is it? They could always morph it into an eventual "battle for respect" with the blowoff being a face vs. pseudoface matchup. No. Put Punk over at WM and then have a confrontation from Punk and The NB after the match (since the MitB will proceed the eight man) and tease that Punk will indeed join NB but it's RVD that actually does the turn. Punk uses the briefcase to put over that he will win the title when he's ready and won't blow it like RVD did. They already have acknowledge RVD's situation last year and if they can bury RVD on the way out by putting over that he's a dumb-ass and having Punk outshine RVD in everyway does everything for him and puts RVD down. Not to mention how the fans gain from that.

Man, this has been pretty damn solid and got decent time. Add in the eight man that SHOULD get 20 minutes, we should have quite a night of wrestling.

Punk was quite over (home town helped but he got the big pop before he was even mentioned as a Chi-Town guy) and RVD's getting chants here. That feud will be really good when RVD turns sunday night and Punk takes issue with him.

Elijah-Punk will be really good once that happens.

UFC will be a presence that WWE has to deal with. Get used to it. MMA is here to stay and it's the best thing to ever happen to WWE since TNA sure as fuck has no intention of truly challenging them. UFC has already kicked WWE's ass at PPV's up and down for the last year and won't slow down any time.

That's not the reason. House is already a top 5 show. It's a top rated show without AI. It's tokeep people from switching right over to DWTS.

They announced a over-run earlier. Of course, to counter DWTS. Well, Stefani is the guest. They just are doing the bad ones. No Doubt had a few good ones.

Chris Sligh and Haley are probably locked for the bottom. Haley might be able to stretch her looks out another week but no further baring a complete collapse from someone else. Sligh? Might have burst too soon.

No Doubt had some great songs and she went with this one instead. Good job, interesting enough to stand out.

The Cure. That'd be a fantastic theme week, really. Although, Blake is thinking of 311's shitty cover. Thank god he didn't try to beat-box it.

I still can't buy Melinda. Not that anyone else is a serious threat outside LaKisha and possibly Blake with Gina as the obvious dark horse but as time goes, I'm going to need to be more wowed by her.

I'm really kicking myself for not taking up the big chance of hitting the trio this weekend with ROH and WM. It's a short drive and wasn't overly expensive.

They won't need to get involved. They'll have skit tonight with NB talking to Punk again and maybe this time RVD will join in. Assuming Punk wins, which right now given the landscape is a strong chance, they'll easily do a tease after the match about Punk deciding whose side he is on. In fact, I expect Punk to come out after winning and everyone is buzzing about Punk possibly turning...only for RVD to finally turn heel on The Originals and attack Punk afterwards. Setting up the best possible program ECW can have. Punk is a better heel but RVD is getting phased out. Use that to give Punk a big push.
