Stunned that they didn't go for a Indiana/Texas Tech match up.
-
Wright St could have been a bracketbuster team against someone unlike PITT. Now, they aren't.
-
I was hoping to see MOH/Wisconsin instead. I love 41-45 type games. Instead, Oregon will blow out MOH about 74-56.
-
Miami is gonna get killed.

Anyone going to a 1st/2nd round game? Depending on who makes it, I'll probably make a grab for the Lexington or Columbus games. I know it won't happen but I'd like CBS to release the entire field at least by the 30 minute mark. Don't spend 20 minutes talking about the #1 seeds.
-
Speaking of Akron, anyone see the head coach pulling the "MAKE SURE YOU GOT IT RIGHT GUYS! I mean, I don't care. But make sure it's right" card while throwing in "I got kids having brain surgery. somebody's mom has a heart problem". Pretty funny, I thought. I can't imagine if Miami plays Wisconsin. Would they even combine for 80 pts?
-
Akron's biggest win was Oral Roberts and played no one else except Nevada. Akron's NIT bound. Even if there was 4-5 open bubble spots, Akron wouldn't be in. If you can't beat Miami of Ohio twice a year, how can you call yourself a honest at large team?
-
They had about 20 minutes to come up with a play and they throw it out of bounds. That's great. Wonder which #2 seed MOH has the best shot against?
-
By comparison, MOH played a harder schedule against teams like Wright St, Xavier, Michigan, Illinois and UK. If Akron played those teams, they'd be 19 wins.
-
By my retarded criteria, they should. 25 wins. I can tell from last season that the selection committee does not give a shit about RPI and SOS. They played a shitty MAC and beat no one in the season. Beat a bunch of joke teams as well, including a pair of DII schools. Akron's on the bottom of the bubble list.

I lost my voice during the final minute of that game. Incredible. Just incredible. We're getting blown out in the first round as a 15 seed but man, that was insane. Great, another clock constroversy. Just give MOH the damn win, will ya! Regardless of how the clock thing turns out, that was just a nerve racking 2 hours right there.
-
Are you 9?
-
KSU won't get the win here but if they can knock the margin of victory down within 4-6 pts, that'll greatly help their chances. In fact, I might not call it over just yet.

You think Haley looks like that? As far as celeb lookalikes go, I say she's closer to this. As for the show itself, We all know that it's a two horse race between LaKishia and Melinda. Maybe Chris Sligh or Blake can be a dark horse male challenger and even Gina by virtue of being the lone talented white girl. I wouldn't be shocked to see Haley stick around for a couple more weeks strictly for being the best looking of the girls and that you'll have four black r&b singers and they are bound to cancel each other out at first.

Haley reminds me of Sophia Bush.

I actually been expecting some type of tag team turmoil match which would allow both MnM as the new champions and the 10 month reigning London/Kendrick to have a match along with Carlito/Flair, WGTT, D&D and maybe Cryme Tyme (although Im doubting that part). If they already plan for a tag battle royal, might as well just use the 6 teams that matter in one match such as this one but have some actual (though short) matches. Set it as a non-title match but have the two champions meet and MnM cheat to win. Setting up a "which team is better" type deal for the future.
-
A bunch of upsets happening and Xavier does indeed bust a bubble as well. On a personal note, my school has somehow made its way to the conf. championship despite a 15-14 season record. To be fair, they did play some good teams this outside the conference but did lose them all. I can't wait to see them land that 14 seed against Texas and let Durant murder them.

Smackdown Spoilers for show airing on 03/09/07
Hawk 34 replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in The WWE Folder
Where else would you put Smackdown? Tuesday night belongs to Gilmore Girls and they can't air the show live. Wednesday is a possble choice but that's reality night for CW and they get good ratings there. Thursday was killing Smackdown. Aside from Wednesday nights, there isn't another night for Smackdown. Ratings are up on Fridays which can also be attributed to a stronger show since moving. -
Maybe Melina will do everyone a favor and put Ashley out for awhile.

It always bugged me that they didn't just stretch Bret/Owen into WMXI and give that the I Quit Match instead. It had another 3 months left in the tank, I felt and it was more of a blood feud obviously then Backlund/Hart was. Yokozuna could have returned the next month instead and got the same reaction and impact. They also could have put the titles on Allied Powers, with Owen getting one over his brother in law at such a big stage instead of the Smoking Gunns. LT/Bam Bam as far as celeb matches was one of the better ones although you aren't going to find any great ones. Shawn/Diesel wasn't bad at all although it didn't work for me since Diesel had just turned and Shawn had spent so long doing nothing and suddenly getting a title shot at WM. The under-card was horrendous. Like most have said, it was just bland. A solid entertaining enough main event, a good title match and a bunch of nothingness. Not unlike most RAW ppv's today but this was MANIA.

edit: Not gonna further jinx it. As I expected, the second I erased the previous comment, they went on a run and never looked back in route of thrasing over OU.

I had 49 states at 1:45 but blanked on the final one for about a minute. That state turned out to be Minnesota. Which was odd because I was thinking of college basketball conferences first and I naturally went towards the Big Ten first yet neglected that state.
-
It's ridiculous to tank your season anyways. Being the worst team only gives you like a 40% chance of getting one of the top two picks. It'd be a risk to sacrifice a sure fire #1 or #2 pick when you know Mayo will be coming into the draft next year as well as possible other star players. If any, I see Oden hanging around for another year and not Durant but I don't think either will make the choice to stay.
-
Definitely not Memphis. I'd lean toward Xavier if I had to pick one, although Nevada will probably have a tougher semifinal matchup. I was thinking X as well since they are probably going to collide with UMASS whom could be a issue. I'm actually skipping my next class to watch MOH/Ohio.
-
Back when I was deciding which college to attend, Wright State was my second choice. Which "auto-lock" school do you think will bust another bubble? Memphis, Xavier or Nevada?
