Well, Beowulf needed the 3D effects to make that passable. I couldn't imagine seeing that on a conventional screen. IMAX is fine and it's not that drastic of a price hike but I wouldn't say it enhanced the quality of the film but there was a noticeable decrease in the noisemaking assholes that were prevalent in the standard theatre. Typically, I'd choose Director's Hall over the IMAX.

It was a long running television show with an once dedicated fanbase. 10 years between movies wasn't the cause of the extreme disinterest in the second film, it was the apparent disappointment in how the series ended (I never watched but that seems to be the consensus from those who did) and really negative reviews. It might have fared better in a softer part of the movie season, such as a mid-October release. Luckily, Duchovny is doing better things these days. I don't know about Anderson, though.

I hate your guts. What the hell do I do with Maff and Whitmer now?

Despite having six well-rounded tag teams, I’ll continue to add to that depth with an additional low-card tag team that will provide comedy against F.B.I. Despite the outrageous and short-lived gimmick, they weren’t horrible inside the ring and I think they can get good heat from my potential audience. Here is my next selection of the draft Lenny and Lodi, The West Hollywood Blondes edit: You can be assured that we'll see Raven tryng to "fix" Lodi.

Terrific Taylor Made Rooster!

I need to bolster the women’s division beyond Lacey and I’m surprised this gal is still around. She isn’t the best worker but she’s attractive, skilled enough in the ring and is a good sweet face to counter the bitch Lacey. With the next selection, I have chosen Gail Kim

I say it's fine to take another venue in the same territory. Many places have multiple venues of historical value. Otherwise, some people might be forced to select lesser cities and venues that likely don't connect with their roster Also, MSG can't be re-picked, even if multiple versions of MSG have existed.

I can think of 30-35 "famous" wrestling venues, so I don't think anyone will be stuck with having to take a modern corporate cookie cutter venue.

For the venue selection, I think the tradition of a photo should continue.

What Might Have Been: Old School Edition

The Ladder Match gimmick was already introduced to the WWF fanbase although with minimal high spots and smaller viewing audience from a weekend show but it would've been just a matter of time before it was used on that type of stage. The unknown factor would be the potential the match would have if Shawn isn't the one bouncing around. However, I think 123 Kid or Marty Jannetty could've done well to put over the ladder match in a similar fashion as Shawn did. As for Shawn's hypothetical departure to WCW? I think he would've found a spot in the upper mid-card pretty quickly in a similar character to HBK and it's highly probable that he could've taken Diesel with him or been paired with someone similar. The biggest impact would be the loss of Michaels' political power with the arriving Hogan. If Shawn couldn't beat Hogan with his real clout in 2005, he stood no chance against in 1994. I don't think he would have ascended beyond the level of US Champion and at best, was destined for a lengthy rivalry with Sting. Which isn't a negative but it isn't quite as successful as reality would have presented him with. Ultimately, he would've grown weary of Hogan's political choke-hold and left to return to WWF by the end of 1995. Razor Ramon would likely remained as over as he was and simply found a new dance partner like Bigelow or Jarrett. Without Shawn in the picture, I honestly believe Razor would enjoy the success that Shawn would reach a couple years later. -
Maven is probably one of the few good picks from Drury. He wasn't a bad heel promo but I got enough great heel promos. Drury really needed another, so kudos to that.

Good to see cabbageboy's brother made it back to the boards. You're the one who has made the dumbest posts in the thread. Recasting the Joker is just asking for backlash and for people to find a reason to shit on the movie. I think Bane would be a cool villain, though. He is right though in this instance, it was a ridiculously irrational proclamation given the large scope of movie villains. It’s a wholly reactionary statement that he’ll probable retract in a couple years or next month when The Mummy 3 is released. Its fine to have that opinion just as much as “Nighthawk” harbors a fond affection for Daniel Plainview but you can’t just proclaim Ledger’s portrayal as the greatest in the history of motion pictures. It’s inaccurate and wrong. Personally, I'm a believer that The Joker isn't needed as a character in the next installment of this series. Everyone is making assumptions that The Joker needs to be recast to fulfil some non-existant need. It's painfully easy to write around Ledger's inability to play this role and it's not just Johnny Depp that has the gravitas. He's just a really well known name that people like. It's already been said but this next movie won't be released until at least 3 more years and while Ledger's performance is being held in such high regard for the moment, that doesn't mean it'll remain the absolute standard for Cabbageboy's of the world when the time comes around. Will any backlash be received towards the news of a recast? Of course but it'll mostly consist of the same reactions most comic book castings always get and that's anger, confusion and outlandish claims that the director has no idea what he is doing. The movie will be released and we'll judge the new actor's ability to portray a homicidal clown on its own merits and not a direct comparison to Ledger.

Just a note for Drury, Skinner is off the board now. I know he loves those bad early 90's WWF gimmicks.

He means this one

Henry was really getting toned in OVW before he was told to change those plans. The title looks fine enough for what it is and it's a welcome departure from the other World Titles. McMahon has wanted to replicate Bruiser Brody for years and while he passed up the opportunity two summers ago with Terkay, he might have accomplished that with Knox from a physical standpoint. Knox is a great mid-card mauler to have and it's a great change from the standard physical form that we've become accustomed to over the years with newcomers and young superstars. Does that mean he's potential main event level act? Not a bit but you can't have an entire roster full of those; you need a guy like Knox. I can't comprehend the vitriol regarding a video package. Also, nothing ever came of the steroid issue in the house since it was apparently dropped. I'll continue to protest any direction towards a Miz-Morrison rivalry. Miz has rapidly become one of the most improved characters and performers in the company and Morrison has steadily remained consistent, although he still struggles with the occasional promo, something Miz has down pat. It's also refreshing that Bourne has an actual feud going on instead of just coming out to showcase his aerial skills. Chavo, while a horrible main event choice is a good introduction for Bourne to this audience. I found it interesting someone mentioned Tiffany being a cooker cutter “WWE Blonde” when her character and look for that matter is quite different from the other blondes in the company. Having the same hair color as 4-5 other divas in the company doesn’t make her cookie cutter. Does it mean she’s showing much worth to the company in her present role? No, since she doesn’t even assist Long at anything, from her actions on screen, which consist of standing next to Teddy and flirting with other wrestlers.

They did the double EC event at No Way Out. You can put the gimmick on any PPV as the booking sees fit. It's placement as the attraction event for the typically low rated NWO event as well as an easy way to establish another title contender for WM would make NWO the natural "home" for the Elimination Chamber.
-
Well, if you want to ignore Guido and Richards (and they do acknowledge their history with the original ECW), there's also Tazz, whom is constantly connected to his past. Pretty sure that it's Stevie with the office job now and Dreamer's no longer in his former role with the company.
-
That's not a good thing. Either will be a good face and it's an pointless breakup of the best tag team WWE has had since E&C. These two have a lot of mileage left.
-
Don't forget about Atlas Vs Hornswoggle at ringside.
-
Are you enforcing a "no long hair" mandate for your promotion?
-
I thought about taking The Mamlukes as an extension of The F.B.I.
-
Guido and Richards are still employed but they weren't called that during the "ECW Originals" period but they are, in fact, "ECW Originals".

It's about the 4th time JBL used it on Punk. One of the best aspects of Punk's reign is the complete paranoia that surrounds it.

Craps and take in a show.

Marvin won't be happy about these developments.
