Your home is burning down, what do you save?
Hawk 34 replied to Youth N Asia's topic in General Chat
You're the only person I know that'd make the effort to even consider a stupid television but if it's so damn important, 200 lbs shouldn't be enough to prevent you, a reasonably big sized guy from carrying it out there unless you had to go down a flight of steps. Wouldn't you be more concerned about your recipes or something considering how much you avoided because of your "career"? -
Let's say they induct The British Bulldogs as a team, obviously Harry would accept for Davey but would Dynamite agree to be there? Bickering about the merits of the HOF is almost as stupid as the lineage talks. It's a self-serving ceremony designed for older talents to put McMahon and WWE and possibly draw a nostalgia crowd. It's a good addition to the WM weekend however and I'm glad it has become a annual tradition because while it shouldn't be taken seriously, it still offers good talent or big names that aren't regulars right now get honored.

You don't need to be an entire night of extreme matches to have a good PPV. This isn't TNA which needs a gimmick match for everything. ECW didn't have 10 straight hardcore bloody matches, they sprinkled a straight match in there. Just build a good card and actually announce matches ahead of time and you should be fine. Florida was a ECW base, so you should find a healthy sample of the old fan base but to rely on a crowd to provide interest and quality in a show is dumb.

That and Foley was a big champion for WWE bringing Joe in (along with Punk). That was a key reason he was strongly considering going to TNA for not just the big salary but to work with Joe as well. I just wonder if Foley will be critical about WWE not doing enough to bring Joe in.

I think the idea of Bret talking about the training and all the people involved with Stampede and the politics with Hogan will be interesting reads but I'll probably skim through it once it hits the Montreal chapter and then the Flair stuff and the HOF story. If he sticks to talking mostly outside Montreal, it'll be a fascinating tale but if it's a rehash of the same old stuff, I'll skip it. I really look forward to seeing what Foley says about Samoa Joe in the book.

I still think the idea was for distraction and to put over that Umaga is a savage that doesn't actually know logic like getting into the cage. It isn't a big deal. It was all a set up to make Lashley look incredibly dominant making Holly look like Virgil and for the highlight package spot.

He's been writing the damn thing since 1997. It's getting to Axl Rose's levels now. Does the new Foley bio come out this week or next week?
-
That's basically what I was saying up there.

Like I said awhile back, Haley has that Kelly Clarkson/Katharine vibe over everyone else on the show. Not that she's better but she presents that image or approach more then the other acts.

If they manage to get Mistico in time, they really should do something unconventional and debut him at WM against Chavo and win the title right there (of course, with hype videos and perhaps even a connection to Mysterio). If WWE is so high on him and want capture that demographic since Eddie is gone and Rey's gonna be out for awhile longer and this is the biggest crowd they'll reach. Although he might be better off debuting in California but I do think to an extent it'd be a neat way to debut someone.

So, Maria and Mickie, both avid fans for years are in OVW/DSW? I don't get why you need to be a lifetime fan to validate your job. While you got guys like Edge, Matt, London and Punk whom are very open about being avid fans growing up, there's others that see it as a job and does that mean they are less qualified to be a pro wrestler/entertainer? They are eye-candy. Something that wrestling has had for decades but you people get pissy that Kelly Kelly, whom is a valet/personality doesn't bust out 'ranas and didn't spend monday nights watching wrestling. I'm not saying it wouldn't be nice if some of the girls could work better or have a better knowledge of the business but let's not kid ourselves. The real female workers that want to work are going to be found in SHIMMER unless they are a rarity and have looks to compliment their skills. People neglect that Trish went into the business with very little training although she was a fan. It took years to be the talent she was. That can happen with alot of these people. Maria and Candice, for instance have shown improvement. You don't become a seasoned vet in just a few months and you can't expect these girls to do that when they are asked to do so much more then just work in the ring.

I'm worried about how the actual match will go off but so far they are 2-2 in building these two against each other. Given how well the rest of the card has shaped, Mania might be the most interesting since WMXX or even X7.
-
I think we've reached 5 straight good WWE shows now. Sucks they don't get motivated until Mania time but now is better then never.
-
Even with a time stip and Umaga, Holly still gets squash with a full minute left.
-
If it's specific for ECW, although Funk would be across the board. Paul Heyman would be a no-brainer as would Sabu or Taz.
-
I might be jumping the gun here, but this has been a pretty solid show. WWE is really clicking right now.
-
Cage lowering music. I want that whenever i walk into a room.
-
I know that Kelly's popular with the crowd but enough with having a 19 year be the leader when you got two better lookers and dancers on the side. I love the segue from a sexual dance troupe into "HALL OF FAME CLASS".
-
I only wonder who'll survive longer, Richards or Venis. Venis is WWE4Life but I wasn't aware that WWE likes him enough to keep him as the ultimo jobber.
-
Also, they have Ariel involved. Get Trinity or (more likely) Kelly involved to even it up. Trinity can be Sandman's bitch. Kelly could work as Sandman's sex slave. Either way, got to get a face chick involved. First, GO TO SLEEP and now Tower of London. Dusty is still a ROH mark, i guess.

As much as I dont like the idea of an ECW title match at WM, I said last night Bob Holly winning the belt is obvious with Lashley vs Umaga and it not mattering that Lashley was the ECW Champion. Bob Holly vs RVD wouldn't be that bad. Okay, kill off New Breed Vs Originals match which is the focal angle of this show. Kill every bit of credibility that title still clings to, take the title off a guy that's gonna get a big rub and mainstream push in favor of Holly and a guy who'll possibly be gone in 3 months. Not to mention that having the title defended isn't as important considering he'd do more for the title by being sided with Austin and beating Umaga. RVD/Holly screams mid-card.
-
I wonder if they'll slot Snitsky with the New Breed leaving Holly for MitB and make it a 12 man tag throwing Balls with the Originals? Actually, no. They'll be best putting Snitsky in the MitB. It needs a big man to kill Punk and The Hardys.

Uh..he'll be on the card and it will mean Boogeyman gets on too..so uh..yeah. Finlay/Boogeyman isn't a lock although Finlay has this desire to have a good match with the guy. It'd be a waste across the board.
