It's a good call but the purpose to a parody is that people know who is being mocked. Otherwise, Jillian's just another blonde bomshell who can't sing. Better off having her do a Britney parody but that's too recent. Vince is just now thinking of a Nancy/Tonya spoof.

How can they include Punk but exclude Gibson?

Supposedly he had never heard of Pirates of the Caribbean or Johnny Depp's character and was completely confused by Burchill's gimmick. And THAT'S why WWE creative is in the shitter: the man who has the final say in EVERY aspect of the company doesn't even know what's going. It'd be one thing if both Pirates flicks did mediocre at the box office...but they're major fucking blockbusters. Super Crazy in a comedic role? Strangely, I see that working. He's charismatic in the ring, a solid worker...I think it could work. Maybe not full-on Nacho Libre-style, but it could work. Nitro punished for Melina being a bitch...riiiiiiiight. Nitro's one of the only TE kids that proved he's worth a fuck. And they PUNISH him for his girlfriend's actions? Fucking lame. If they are going to bury Nitro, they should bury Maria as well since her boyfriend is also in the doghouse. -
He works at an old folks home. Those odds are good.

Punk as well was getting a reaction while Lashley is met with a "Hmm?" response.

They did the video package to put him over. Had him control and beat Knox soundly only to get mauled by Snitsky. They couldn't just have Guido win a jobber match and do the Snitsky spot there? It's not as if this will lead to a program anyways.
-
There's a double meaning to this segment. Marvin loves smoking.
-
He's great as the super baby face but the lame fun loving mid-card face isn't his thing.
-
I'd almost believe that video package would indicate Punk was getting a push but I know better. However, it did have a slight heel slant to it.

I meant something there but I'm not sure what that might have been. It's been a long day. I should sleep.

Aw yeah. I was wearing jeans, a sweater, and a wool coat, plus headphones to cover my ears. Now I know I wasn't rockin' a look like you were, but I'd like to think I was better than those pansies clutching their man purses. I really need your approval as to how well I handled single-digit cold since it's still going to be a little brisk 'round here, so if you could give me some feedback today, that'd be awesome. Wear shorts instead. You'd be surprised how you don't feel as cold as you would have expected.

1994 was over a decade ago. NASCAR has been firmly "mainstream" for awhile. It's probably the most visable sport across the board given the countless media exposure, corporate relevance and cross-marketing . Football? Football is the dominant sport across America and that's not remotely within the confines of a legitmate arguement but I meant more in terms of the structure of the two sports The NFL is within itself, while NASCAR by nature requries to be visable in a larger corporate capacity especially regarding heavier marketing from a wider branch of promotional machines. I should have been more clear in comparison to what was initally said regarding NASCAR still moving out of it's former element as the "good ol' boys" into the current massive corporate and marketing machine. Via the sprawling corporate influence, NASCAR, or more specifically, NEXTEL CUP and their drivers are more visiable rather then the NFL which is self-promoted.

If TNA would stop spending money on elaborate video production and buy actual ad times outside Spike during their own telecasts, maybe more people would have noticed their presence. That's just #526 on the list.

It's probably the most visable sport across the board given the countless media exposure, corporate relevance and cross-marketing . NASCAR isn't exactly a new commodity for ESPN anyways but obviously since they ramped up coverage and rights, they are going to push it since it'll actually draw viewers. NASCAR doesn't need to build its audience, it needs to maintain it. The Toyota situation is far more interesting then Martyball getting cut anyways. You got a major international corporation that spent over $100 million to invest into NASCAR in addition to all the massive amount of equally major corporate sponsers (Red Bull, Dominoes, NAPA, Burger King, etc, etc) and the figurehead spokesman for the entire enterprise (Waltrip) was busted for cheating right off the bat a week before the biggest race of the season. What else would PTI talk about? Marty getting fired for the 20th time? He'll be coaching again next season. How is that fucking news? He's Larry Brown minus the ability to win when it counts.

2005 had a stronger draw with 'Taker and Orton in HIAC (which was essentially a year long program, that of course did no good at all). Tag Team megamatches are hard sells but the difference with Armageddon and the upcoming PPV is that it involves two actual main event draws in addition to Cena and Batista rather then the unproven Booker and Finlay, whom would never realistically be depended on to be a draw. To me, D2D doesn't seem all that bad given that it was off the heels of two straight PPV busts and a one match attraction with one credible main event name attached.

There are the Duels on Thursday and that should get coverage as it's pretty much a big deal in relation to the actual race. I'll grant that coverage on Tuesday and Wednesday (since Monday deals with the fallout from qualifying and of course, the controversy that always comes about) but Thursday and Friday are actually important and carries over intrigue. I don't think people should make a big deal out of this. It's not like it's going to be a weekly thing. Daytona 500 is a major sporting event and given that sports isn't that active right now, ESPN isn't making a silly move to give this more coverage.
-
Wilbon and Tony take breaks all the time, especially during the dead periods and this is one those times because with the exception of the NBA All-Star Game and The Daytona 500 (Which is a major event). Do you really want another Lebatard/McMullin show? Wilbon is busy hanging off Barkley's balls in Vegas anyways. When they take days off, it's usually replaced by a horrible pair of guest hosts or with an extended sportscenter/baseball tonight. Even though it is in neutral right now, NASCAR still pops a great rating for any network, so airing coverage is hardly a bad move.

Really, to Donald I doubt he cares exactly he's paired with but I do agree that it's not the best for his image (not that appearing on WM does him much good as it is) to be paired with a known pot head with a record, a crazy looking arab, a fat tattooed dude in leather jacket in oversized shorts and The Sandman. Only Tommy Dreamer isn't a weird visual with Donald. However and this is a big reach but what about bringing in a famous name that would work perfectly for this angle. Mick Foley. I know that it's not good to keep recycling retreads but they were dead set on Hogan until a couple weeks ago and Foley can still work. I think Foley representing Original ECW (I think the fans have probably forgot that brief heel run last year) against someone from the "new" ECW would work great. Ideally, given that Foley is a major mark for him, I'd love to see CM Punk bring back his corporate suck up character. It'd be a great series of promos from all accords and the match would probably be fantastic but Punk outpopped DX and made out with his girlfriend so that will not happen. It'd be Lashley Vs Shane and be met with no heat until the inevitable final spot with Khali and Lashley and even that won't register much of a pop if at all.

The problem with this is that for any new viewer turning in, he only knows Sting, Jarrett and Cage and probably thinks this is current. They don't know it's a clip show right now.
-
Considering that they have done full coverage of the Indy 500 from testing to qualifying to pre-race action for years, how exactly is giving the Daytona 500 the same coverage a bad idea especially since the Daytona 500 is by far a bigger event and holds more relevance to the general viewers right now when sports is typically quiet with the exception of college basketball. It's one a week hype event. It's not like PTI and ATH had much to talk about. I really don't care to see Tony's take on the Dog Show and Wilbon praise whichever old motown act he chooses that played the grammy's last night.

RVD, if he were to sign with TNA would still be doing indies because virtually the entire roster is allowed to. Even Joe. The great misunderstanding about the situation regarding Joe with ROH is that he's being prevented from working indy shows. He isn't being prevented. He's about to be the central character for that promotion and they want him to maintain the identity of a TNA talent. They also can't risk him getting injuried at ROH, where Joe will ALWAYS go beyond what he should. Joe can still work small indies where he would be used for his name value rather then his work-rate which allows him to take it easier because the level of expectation is so high with ROH. Also, he can still work in ROH. He is just no longer a regular although I do think it'll be awhile longer before he comes back. Another point that gets ignored is that Joe was about to run with a NOAH storyline. How much do you think NJPW wasn't happy about Joe working for NOAH while in a partnership with TNA. -

I knew that once Bruno was announced to be appearing (again) at ROH during the WM weekend show, that'd the HOF talk would start (since he isn't scheduled for the saturday night show, which is when the HOF ceremony would occur) but Bruno has been adamant as always that he refuses to deal with them. -
Selling part of my life away today

It's only natural. You're too young to know any better. Take heed in a wise elder when he tells you these things. I know that will happen to me as well. Look at all marriages that go beyond 5 years, resentment and bitterness become natural elements. What KKK is saying is that there's a difference in what you grew up with and buying it now (or down the road, for that matter) the value is far greater personally with the attachment of childhood. He's right in that we all grow to blame others for anything and in time, you'll attach blame to the girl. I do think you're giving into her. I get that as a male, you worship her. That is all good and somewhat normal but if my girl was basically pushing me to move against my will or ability (since now you're forced to drive out further), I wouldn't be a happy customer. -
We did powder puff in high school and that was always fun, although it was never during playoff time. That aspect was a stretch. Anyways, loved Landry in his role and Saracen gets better and better. I knew instantly he was fucked when he didn't pick Julie first. Something I wanted to go back and check. Garrity wore Jason's jersey during the game but did Julie wear Saracen's? The reaction Coach had upon finding out Julie was the QB was simply awesome. As for the racism, I don't have any problem with this, yet.
