Which can always have a screwy finish. Which exactly what I said in my previous post. Batista growing paranoid about his ability to beat Kennedy and Kennedy keep getting Batista within inches and slowly getting over with the crowd (as last night showed). It's the best possible program right now and if booked right, it could extend beyond WM with the double turn that would be pretty easy to accomplish. Still wouldn't count out Kane/Batista since Vince is a big man mark.

Fuck it. Do Batista/Kennedy. We all know the money is Cena/Taker or Cena/Shawn. Batista is dead in the water. Kennedy was good against Batista last night and this thing still has legs. Build it up as Kennedy keeps coming dangerously close to taking Batista out for good. Kennedy slowly starts getting over, while Batista goes Danielson on Kennedy and gets paranoid and cheats like crazy. Lead to WM with a double turn. Title change optional. Things might be on right if they stick with Cena/Taker, Batista/Kennedy, RRKO/Shawn and Flair, Lashley in fatal four way extreme rules, Hogan W/ Trump Vs Booker W/Vince and Khali to round out the main events with a lot left for the undercard as well. They might managed to salvage this.

That basically forces Batstia Vs Kennedy. I'm all for that unless they decide to push Kane again for the title instead. I still think Edge/Batista would work and they could possibly slot Shawn and Orton in the trump program but i'm guessing Cena/Taker, RRKO Vs Shawn/Flair, Batista/Kennedy, Lashley in 4 way.

Is that Sean Mooney's kid?

Didn't Jarrett do that ploy to trick Ramon into restarting the match?

A woman in Oakland is claiming he slapped, choked and sexually assaulted her. "With the 18th pick in the draft, the Cincinnati Bengals select Marshawn Lynch"

"C'mon kid! Make yourself famous!"

Kenny looks like the bastard love child of Orton and Owen. Also, Crazy is on Raw since Vince is a mark for Crazy. Obviously, those Vince likes get put on Raw. It's been better for him amazingly enough.
-
This is pretty random, especially considering they could have added Flair and Nitro to make it a 6 man tag and improved it slightly.
-
Might be the best way to go, really. It frees Kennedy or Edge to take that open spot against Batista. Probably would end up with Shawn/Trump Vs Orton/Vince as well.

As odd as it might seem, Val is the modern Tito Santana. Good run in his early years with title reigns but goes into total JTTS mode but is still over with the crowd and still has that tiny shred of credibility.

I like how Cade and Murdoch are always around Edge hanging off his nuts.
-
Oh, Mickie looks really good here. Give us Nitro/Crazy.

Cool. Whacky tag team partners that can't stand each other heading to a title match. It's been over 7 years, so it's okay.

I was listening to ESPN Radio and they all are agreeing that the Rex stuff is overblown. Obviously the talking tv heads are the braindead farts following orders. In fact, I'm not sure who it was but one of the ESPN Radio guys ripped on Manning saying that his stats aren't going to win him this game.

It went from bad to worse. Shawn/Booker? Fine. Shawn/Khali? Good god.

Instead of doing Batista/Undertaker, I'd just have Batista drop the title to Edge thanks to Orton. This would lead to Edge Vs Undertaker with the idea of streak vs streak. Edge/Taker would be a pretty good match as well. In turn, you'd set up Batista against Orton, with that match you make that the McMahon/Trump program. Batista being the good looking big man with style would be better for Trump's image then a old dancing man in leather pants and Orton fits with McMahon's sleazy persona. That would leave Cena/Michaels for that Rock/Austin type main event. Just more to work with and much better end result with that set up.

I still stand that Edge/Taker, Orton w/McMahon Vs Batista W/Trump and Shawn/Cena is much more worthwhile. All it requires is finding a way for Edge to get to Smackdown and beat Batista for the title thanks to Orton (in turn, setting up Orton/Batista). You'd get a better trio of main events this way and give two more likely good matches instead of settling for one. Besides, Batista fits Trump more then an old man dancing in leather chaps. I hate the idea of Taker and Shawn still main eventing WM in 2007 but the fans clearly want them.

This was a pretty solid PPV. The opener was no Orient Express/Rockers but it was a serviceable formula match that had a good finish sequence. Test bumped as much as he could salvage Lashley but Lashley is a lost cause. The match was paint by numbers but had a really dumb finish that looked as if they didn’t want to end this feud but then they went had Lashley kill Test again. Batista and Kennedy was probably one of the better non Benoit and non over-booked matches of his career. Kennedy looked pretty good here in dominating and taking out Batista. Batista did more to put over Kennedy then Taker bothered to. Which is hardly surprising. The LMS was shockingly enjoyable and only proves that Cena is tremendous in these gimmick matches. I liked the build through the match leading to the somewhat creative finish with the ring ropes which was a welcome change from the typical double KO spot. Typical Cena crowd though. Mixed reactions to start, full CENA SUCKS chants and at the end? He gets a pop. The Rumble was pretty interesting in that it didn’t have many memorable spots on first viewing but the theme throughout the night with Punk, Benjamin, Edge and RVD doing the skin the cat spots was good. I liked Finlay getting a good run and especially liked Punk going longer then expected. I’m sure there was a lot of “little” things that I missed that’ll enhance this match greatly. It felt like the 1994 rumble in that the ring was full throughout the match except at the end where Khali murdered everyone. I hated that MVP managed to be one of the final 5 and avoid Khali but what can you do? The final four was the most predictable every but the finish with Shawn and ‘Taker was easily the best final two ever with legitimate suspense in who could actually win the mini-match and showed these two could still click. It’s a shame that it was in Shawn’s hometown because otherwise ‘Taker would gotten a big reaction for winning. How many people got a kick out of Finlay zeroing in on Punk as soon as he came in? That’s what I love about Rumbles, you can watch one years later and notice a little mini-story on the side that you might have missed on first view. I liked Matt and Edge going at it right away which reminded me of Shawn/Marty in 1994 but not quite as dramatic. Finally having #30 win was good because it was pretty silly after 20 years that #1-5 had won it 6 times. I didn’t feel cheated by this show at all.

After about 10 minutes of back and forth, HBK went for a SCM but Taker ducked and back dropped Shawn over the ropes.
-
As a whole this was a pretty damn good ppv.

The match was meh but what a dramatic final 2 that was.
-
Pretty good match here with a good finish.
