I never got this about MTV and VHI. They promote shows to "debut" at a certain time but always seem to air them earlier then the actual advertised debut date.

I think it's just a case of this spot being redone so many times in battle royals, it's made the sentiment for the finish more negative. There's only five types of eliminations possible according to WWE in the Rumble 1) The struggle by the ropes leading to one man falling over and one hangs on to win (ex. Rock/TBS) 2). The straight up mini match ending with a finisher and elimination or losing wrestler misses a charge and goes over (ex. HHH/Angle) 3). The double elimination (Ex. Hart/Luger) 4). Wrestler A sneaks up and eliminates wrestler B and C to win (Ex. Flair/Hogan/Sid) 5). The 1995 Finish I'd like to see a fresh finish but what else can be done, short of the final 3 having two men fall over while the winner has no involvement at all (which I'm sure has been done in a battle royal).

Whatever happened to DNL? I really liked that yet they stopped serving it although at most convenience stores, they still have stickers indicating that all 7 UP products (including DNL) are only $0.89 but none of them have it. Is it discontinued or only sold in certain places? edit: After looking it up, it is in fact discontinued.

FIP is a interesting product especially compared to ROH. It does have that relaxed nature but also provides a frentic element in the same. The shows really make you feel as if you were there live thanks to the lack of backstage skits and such with interviews in the actual "arena". I'm still in late 2005/early 2006 mode right now, although I really need to catch up especially given the increased quality of matches, stories and talent. I have only been able to cherry pick for right now but here's some good choices to work with that i've seen thus far "Florida Rumble 2004" (19 Man Royal Rumble, Gibson Vs Punk, Homicide/Spanky) "Bring The Pain" (Punk Vs Danielson) "The Usual Suspects" (Tag Team Title Tournament feauturing Punk/Juan, Rave/Vegas, Spanky/Rinuaro, Strong/Clark, Carnage Crew and Gibson/Madison) "Violence Is The Answer" (Punk Vs Homicide-Anything Goes, Gibson Vs Madison and Spanky Vs Strong) "Sold Out" (Spanky, Cabana, Azrieal, Rinuaro Vs Punk, Joe, Rave and Vegas) "Payback" (Punk Vs Cabana, Rave/Vegas Vs Strong/Clark, Joe Vs Azrieal) "Heatstroke Night 2" (Punk Vs Strong, Homicide Vs Mamaluke, Joe Vs Steel) "Big Year One Bash Night 1" (Strong Vs Gibson, Homicide Vs Nigel, Spanky/Rinuaro Vs Lethal/Rave) "X-Factor" (Waltman Vs Rave, Homicide Vs Aries, and Strong/Milano Collection Vs Cabana and Rinuaro) "Fallout 2005" (Homicide Vs Rainman, Heartbreak Express Vs Cabana and Rinuaro, Strong Vs Milano Collection) "Strong Vs Evans" (Jack Evans Vs Roderick Strong, Danielson Vs Jay Fury, Aries Vs Clark)

Wait, Marvin spent that money he worked hard for (and even gave up dates) and brought some video game system that is atrociously overpriced and drew on it with a sharpie to fit with his harebrained concoction?

Another $10 sale (I bolded the ones that you should get, if you haven't)

Why do you people care? They've known each other for a very long time and they obviously love each other. He looks a fairly typical guy that handles his own thing. If I recall, he has his own business to attend to which explains why he can be in a long term/distance relationship. It's not as if he was sitting at home waiting for her.

Instead of nutjobs, they seemed to focus more on showing those who advanced or the "emotional" ones. I'll take that over the "LOL!" shows.
-
You missed a couple good acts and the nutjobs weren't that out there. I should note I'm watching it on delay right now, so there might be something really bad on the horizon but overall it was good. Just need to get through more of this slog before we start getting somewhere.

Austin and Hogan wouldn't work together because they'd have to share the spotlight and the appeal is them facing each other, not beating up the McMahons. Austin has one match left in him and he isn't about to waste it by tagging with Hogan.

If you really want a example of how talented Gosling is, go rent The Believer. Tremendous job.

Looks like SUPER~! CRAZY~! isn't in the Rumble afterall. There is still an open spot.

Making it an extreme rules, seems to be a given. It really should have ended with these two brawling through the crowd into the back and into the streets. They haven't done that sort of thing in awhile and it was rather commonplace not just in WWE but in wrestling as a whole but instead they made no reason to care about the match. I get that Test is Holly to Lashley's Lesnar but even that one bothered to make Holly look to have a fighting shot or give a reason to care. The problem with making it a extreme rules match is that it'd be diluted given that the LMS will be booked harder and more brutal.

The entire back because he was making out with his "fine ass girl". Edit: I'm shocked how much time they are giving this match. did Hunter get heat like this when He was dating Stephanie..or shawn when him and Sunny were messing around..Or Carlito and Torrie... No one was about to say anything about the bosses daughter and a popular worker (Vince was big on HHH before he dated Stephanie). Torrie/Carlito is kayfabe. The main problem was that it was a public promotional tour and they felt Punk wasn't be a good rep for the company by making out with Maria in public especially since they aren't on-air couple.

Punk (whom is buried in the back with a lot of heat) Vs Burke (whom is Vince's newest "it" guy?)...Sounds good.

Nitro Girls reunion!

Vince: Make it blacker, guys.

Holly is hurt and in WWE's mind, the champion must be in the main event every week no matter what. Instead of doing something logical like Lashley/RVD Vs Test/Holly (with limited work), they decide to do a "teaser" of the title match for those on the fence.
-
I'm glad they seem to be heading towards making this a romantic dramedy since the comedy aspect wasn't very strong. The Danny story is really creepy and interesting at the same time.
-
This show had a couple really good talents that could contend and seemed short on the nutjobs. Tomorrow looks like a chore.

You do realize that Hogan was champion for years despite being a "part timer", right?
