    2007 NFL Playoffs

Colts Vs Bears gives you the more appealing matchups given how ugly the earlier Bears/Pats game was this year. The media will make it a BLACK HEAD COACH centered story, but we'll make due. Better then hearing about the Chocolate City. Patriots/Bears makes it a 1985 centered event and we've seen more then enough of The Fridge for a lifetime. I'd like to think the 2006 Bears would perfer to make a name of their own instead of playing along with the '85 Bears.

That's your final nail in the N.O coffin.

That Chicago weather is coming down now and given the tightness of this game and the mistakes abound, makes it even more beautiful. I like Payton and how he will rip his players. "You're full of shit".

Reggie Bush just murdered the entire defense right there. I called that he'd make a huge play and he just did.

N.O had many chances to pick off Rex today and yet haven't managed to do so.

Gabe is seriously pushing a big surprise announcment for midnight tonight involving NOAH. Since the aforementioned trip to Japan has already been leaked and he even addressed it, it's likely to be a seperate issue. Edit: It'll concern the first four installments of the Festival Series (NYC, Philly, Dayton and Chicago).

    Heroes

Sci-Fi reairs the episode on Friday nights. They have also aired mini-marathons every few weeks to allow people to catch up.

He made plans for a ski trip in Colorado next weekend and he obviously is worrying if he should have gotten the mountain view or was opting for the penthouse a smarter move.

Let's cease the premature celebrations here folks. It's a 9 point game with an entire half to play.

Earlier in the pre-game they talked about how these referees were pretty controversial and I'm guessing that should ring true most likely later in the game given the course of events here already.

If good Rex came to play, it'd be 21-0 by now. NO lucked out in that regard but they can't keep doing this stuff.

There is no penalty for it. They just ignore the request.

I get that the media needs something to talk about but the whole "first black coach in SB" angle is getting too much focus. I'm sure Wilbon will make it a Black Vs White thing if Chicago plays New England or Indy plays New Orleans.

What the fuck? SNOW in southern California?

We finally got actual snowfall and it reached 4 inches this morning. Usually that's nothing but when it was in the high 60's just the day before and haven't seen any actual snow aside from brief flurries, it was quite a sight. I went out to clear a path in the driveway and I looked over to the side to see my neighbors whom just moved in this recent fall from the south and they looked stunned by this measly 4 inches of snow. The guy came over to me and actually asked how to "properly shovel". He didn't even have a shovel, he was using a broom. Shoveling snow on a crisp sunday morning before a pair of big football games and coming in to eat a big breakfast was one of my great enjoyments as a kid and still is.

Will Oakland find anyone by the draft? Are they just going to hire some high school assistant coach from Utah?
  19. Heyman does have the ability to leave WWE right now but he's smart enough to collect money while he still can. TNA is a equally fucked mess and he can't be that willing to jump into that. ROH isn't an option unless he's willing to settle for shoots since ROH doesn't need a booker. I can't see Heyman starting a new promotion given how hard it would be for him these days. Hopefully, he's making good on whatever hollywood connections he has made. I still wouldn't be surprised if Heyman ends up taking another contract with WWE to do 24/7. WWE would keep Heyman out of TNA and Heyman gets easy money. Quite frankly, I never got why they didn't just send Heyman back to OVW. It would keep Heyman from bothering Stephanie, made him useful and would have burned out his creative juices by the time the contract ran out that he wouldn't have much for TNA.

    ECW Originals....

Probably writing it as you posted it.
  23. Right now, the Rumble Roster stands as RAW:11 SD:9 ECW:7 Which is rather odd and it'll likely end as 11/11/8 since I can't see ECW adding an additional pair of jobbers. I'll assume that Monty will take the 8th and final spot via a mini-battle royal (Balls, Striker, Knox, Dupree, Moore, Burke and Guido). As for the final two spots on SD, it should be Helms and Mercury but it's pretty heel heavy already so I wouldn't put it pass them to exclude Mercury since he's ominously omitted already and slot Boogeyman into that final spot. I'd like to see London/Kendrick Vs Regal/Taylor but the card looks full already including a tag match.

I wasn't disagreeing. I was just making a case for when it is right to randomly choose a team to support but I backed your claims when I said being a bandwagon fan and using the "I watched them on TV" card was persnickety as any reason there could be. I don't get liking half of a city for sports purposes but rejecting the other half. Adpot the whole city or leave it alone.

    ECW Originals....

I wonder if in 15 years we'll be calling Paul London, Punk and others "ROH Originals". I think calling people "ECW Originals" is silly especially people like Benoit, Guerrero, Melenko, Mysterio, and others when they were wrestling around the world for years. Benoit was even in WCW well before ECW opened. Those guys were invited guests to ECW like Gibson was for ROH. Taz, Dreamer,Sabu and Sandman are true originals in that they were created as they are now in ECW or reached greatest levels with ECW as in Sabu's case. Also, Matt and Jeff never worked ECW. They went from OMEGA to WWE. Matt and Jefff aside from brief stints outside the company have been with WWE since 1996.
