It sold the PPV, so it should "save" the show.

Someone is actually getting paid tonight? WOW.
-
It's a EC Match. With intros and video, that makes 10 minutes. These matches go 50+. The show will end at the usual 10:45 time.

Repo Man Jr is like a public access broadcaster "It's that guy in the ring, yeah that guy". I'm fairly sure they are telling you the names, listen.
-
Vince: That's Undertaker's thing, Paul.
-
Exactly, what has happened since Sabu was taken out since "the little guy won" doesn't shed much light. Oh, so Tommy jobbed? What's so strange about that? It's Tommy Dreamer.

Right now, the AFC Has 5 teams in the WC hunt (with the 4 division leaders ). New York Jets Buffalo @ Minnesota @ Miami Oakland (Incredibly soft schedule to close out the season. None of those teams are playing for a post-season berth. They have a great shot at finishing in the playoffs) Cincinnati Oakland @ Indianapolis @ Denver Pittsburgh (Two very winnable games with Oakland and Indianapolis but @ Denver and against a division rival that always gives them a headache isn’t going to help Cincinnati’s chances. Baltimore has a cupcake schedule to close the year out, so sneaking in as the division winner is unlikely) Jacksonville @ Indianapolis Tennessee New England @ Kansas City (Easily the roughest schedule. Even Tennessee isn’t a lock right now, the way they are playing. Losing games like Washington, Houston (twice) and Buffalo killed their chances and it looks like another mediocre disappointing season) Denver @ San Diego Arizona Cincinnati San Francisco (The result of tonight’s game is obviously crucial as a win propels them into 8-4 and gets them ahead but a lost puts them in the muddle with everyone else @ 7-5. Two relatively winnable games with the NFC West jobbers but the huge pair of games with SD and Cincy. With a rookie QB running the ship, I have to expect them to drop one of those important games) Kansas City Baltimore @ San Diego Oakland Jacksonville (They had a huge opportunity today and squandered it by giving it up to Cleveland in OT. With three playoff caliber teams on the horizon, it might be too much for this team and it’s only inevitable that Herm Edwards goes Herm Edwards at a crucial moment) With those 5 teams fighting (and the very dark horse 5-7 teams in addition) for the final 2 spots…I think we’ll see NYJ and Cincinnati secure those spots.

TNA was sick of him too. Sabu is back to random once a month indy shows with money marks. Let's not assume that he got taken out as punishment, most likely just to tell "a story". I wouldn't be shocked to see Heyman just to be WWE.

There must be something wrong with the audio on my tv because I could swear that RVD was still the most over guy in ECW or WWE for that matter. Punk is a good wrestler but he's just finally getting over with the WWE fans to give him the ball to carry WWECW, giving the belt to Punk now would be a bad idea since the fans love for the wrestler to earn his spot the old fashion way, by working his way up the ladder. The only choice right now is RVD since he is still more over with the fans and has entertaining matches (even with guys like Test and Holly), like I said Punk is a great wrestler but he hasn't been able to showcase his skills to the WWE crowd and he needs to do that first to see if the fans will want him as the top WWECW guy. I never said putting the title on Punk was the route to go with. Punk/Lashley, does need to be the main program right now because RVD isn't capable of carrying Lashley. It'd be a completely ugly match and program. RVD Vs Heyman didn't exactly work like it should have and extending it for another 4 months is a formula for disaster. They missed the boat on RVD but they know what they got with Punk and unlike RVD, Punk plays the political game well and has Vince and HHH on his side. They can't blow it with Punk because RVD just happens to be standing around still getting pops.

FOX is treating this like its the NCAA Basketball tournament selection show.

Tony Romo, the media darling? Yeah, he'll get coverage for his "character" and "poise" at the end of the game.
-
I wonder who will get more air time this upcoming week? Bush, Young, Couglin's idiocy or Romo?
-
Having two announced matches and a bunch of vauge undetermined matches for a PPV was typical ECW. Problem was, you could justify spending $19.95 for a two match card because you knew Heyman was reliable with a solid roster. Here, it's twice that much and they present a main event with an obvious result regardless of how entertaining it stands to be and a tag match that will get time but come off as a tv show main event instead of the #2 match on a PPV. Dreamer Vs Daivari and Sandman Vs Holly is also on the card. Would announcing those two matches before hand made a difference? It'd still be a 2 match card. Since ECW is the SD/RAW playground, they should have just had Benoit open a challenge to anyone from Raw. Put in Orton, Carlito, Crazy or even debut Scorpio there would have helped slightly.

To be fair, it's not like the team loud mouths were upstanding citizens before Coughlin came in.

Shingo IS a mixed bag, which is expected from a guy with roughly 18 months under his belt. He had a fantastic rookie season, probably one of the BEST rookie seasons in pro wrestling. I think Nigel/Whitmer would be almost too obvious. Keep in mind, Delirious is oblivious to what goes on around him. I'll call for Whitmer and Davey Richards. Leaving Jay against Nigel, which I think would be a first time match.

Looks like a 6-10 season for me now. However, I still could easily take a shot at winning this putrid division.
-
Taz, dropped the title on his way out in a three way to Awesome after he was pinned almost instantly by Awesome and Tanaka at Anarchy Rulz '99.
-
Great, I hate NYG but I need them to win now. Just great.
-
The problem with that is, ECW has NO ONE else who could carry the EC match for 50+ minutes. Punk was a necessity and since he's the only realistic possibility outside of Lashley, it shows just how poorly built the rest of the roster is right now. As for giving Punk a 30 minute match, short of bringing someone like Benoit, Regal or Finlay over, they didn't have anything to do with him and a long match with Knox would be a waste of Punk. I hate knowing that a guy that I've followed closely dating back to 2003 when he was working in front of 70 people in a gym in Indiana could actually win a WWE world title("valueless" as it might be, it's still something) and I don't have any desire to see it happen live.
-
It doesn't appear to really matter, the ECW crowd tends to stick around the 1.7 mark and Lashley won't effect that rating as a negative if he sticks around as the face, which is highly improbable. RVD isn't the guy anymore and with the reaction that Punk is getting with the crowds, they have no choice but to do Lashley/Punk. Short of moving RAW/SD talent over to ECW for good, they don't have much else to work with. Still sad that a 1 hour show and limited roster still beats Raw everyweek in quality.
-
He's just a classic obnoxious prick lackey heel. Which he does well, his in-ring stuff leaves alot to be desired but he's good at the comedy, brawls and the crowd interaction.
-
Not exactly going out on a limb there, are you?

What gets me is that on some occasion, Undertaker will decide to go "MMA" and throw the dead-man gimmick to the side and have a wrestling match instead. If the American Badass character is what it takes to keep that version of the Undertaker active, then so be it. This version is just a great entrance and plodding matches. With the WM main event set for WM right now, it's just going to be turned up.

I hate Atlanta. 13 weeks and I'm fairly sure that this is the 8th time they will play a key part in my losing, if Dallas doesn't give me the pts after Seattle takes care of Denver for me.

Hasn't Benoit squashed Sylvan about 10 times since coming back?
