Been working OVW killing time for almost 2 months now. She's more then ready.

he embodies the minor league feel to the show Of all the things that make TNA look minor league, Jeremy Borash is way down on the list. I want to see this list. The roster consisting of WCW's main event at it's death period. Horrible re-hashes of storylines circa 1998. Tremendously rushed show with 42 talent and characters shoved into a 42 minute show. A horrible commentating crew that has zero ability to sell the moment as it stands and ruins it with their idiocy. The name, TNA. Vince Russo and Jim Cornette's involvment. Their roster hardly stands apart from the others. Low visibility. A spot interviewer is probably about 25 more things below.

he embodies the minor league feel to the show The horrible and desperate attempt to emulate 1999 WWF embodies the minor league feel.

Personally, I think he made a mistake. He already made UC respectable and had a better track at getting through the Big East then he would at pushing OSU/Michigan/Wisconsin aside.

She's gone and they made a big deal out of her going out in a embarassing way (for her character) and they called them that because it's like whole LOD/Road Warriors deal. Same team, same purpose, same result. The D2D Hardyz match is fine especially given the context it'd have anyways. Better then randomly putting Kendrick/London.

"He extended his middle finger outwardly as an expressive gesutre to the fans". You can't say "he flipped the bird", I guess. Anyways, what? Is this 1997? I thought we advanced from playground antics like the middle finger into full-out brawls? I'm disappointed in Mr. Vick for his lack of vitriol.

Hold on, Rhino's whole character is that of a pissed off blue collar kid from Detroit. Naturally, someone would call him by his given name as opposed to his ring/fighter name. That makes sense to an extent. Abyss, is a monster with a dark mysterious past. However, Sting openly calls him Chris. More dumbfuckery from TNA.

Mark Dantonio, of Cincinnati just took the Michigan State job.

Why? ROH is making more money now then they would with a "big time" run. It's built for a niche market. When you have a devoted fanbase that will keep buying the stuff as long as you give them what they want (in this case, quality wrestling and LOGICAL, creative, simple storylines with an emphasis on smart booking and long term planning), the well won't dry out. Also, once again people need to stop blaming Russo. Russo is like 6th on the pecking order. It's like blaming Gerwirtz for WWE's problems.

Claire was wearing the track jacket which covered the cheerleaders outfit (if she was even wearing it yet, as she was on her way into the locker room) and all Peter knew was the outfit and the blonde hair. The face was never really detailed enough and it was still early and he didn't put the idea of the random blonde in the hall way to be the cheerleader.

It made a big difference. Instead of having Orton try to fight the 5 faces off, he runs away and gets killed by DX and DX alone. All the other 3 did was drag him into the ring. HTQ, is stretching to act as if WWE took a shot at TNA with the DQ title change finish stipulation considering it's a gimmick that dates back many years that even WWE used. Timing was suspect but considering the nature of the Batista/Booker feud, it fit in the context. If they wanted to duplicate/mock TNA, they should have just stripped the titles from RKO out of nowhere. Looking back at the show, it wasn't that it was not entertaining because it sorta was thanks mostly to a hot crowd and somewhat spirited effort but the booking was so moronic, it felt like a genuine TNA show minus the indy style wrestling.

They have pushed the hell out of the EC match. Stop with the moronic "Vince forgot there was a PPV" comments. They don't need to book a full card when the only sell is expected to be the EC match which hyped big time last night. They'll set up the Hardyz match tonight and that's all they really need. Yes. Punk has probably shot up to the #2 face and possibly #1 after his reaction last night and probably extended push into sunday and RVD's burial. Punk's fresher while RVD is the same act. Vince and HHH like Punk, RVD? not so much.
-
It's in the TNA fourm. You didn't miss anything. Coffey went on another rant, Bob told him to shut up and die. Coffey was tossed and HTQ, while still in power mode benched Bob. Bob took offense(even though...what did he miss here? the place was dead, anyways) and HTQ made it worse by being even more idiotic with his Meltzer loving ass.

RVD got a flash 5* pin on MVP after Kane did the damage, Sabu also got a flash pin on Test. They were tossed aside for Lashley and Cena to be the stars. Hell, that was probably 8th on the list of moronic booking moves. Not so much for Sabu but for RVD.

I'm watching the replay and it's at the DX/RKO match and the start of the match looked like it had such great promise with a HOT crowd and a fast start. I did like Shawn asking the team "Who was that?" after beating Knox, Punk being over and actually getting decent ring time but I think we'll look at this match as a huge wasted opportunity like we do for the 2000 KOTR tournament.

Im pretty sure FOX already locked up the NYG/Carolina game.

Atlanta fucked me over once again.

Looked like a Gerwirtz production there. Hayes likely booked the SD matches which werent bad in the structure except for the brain dead booking with Taker and Kennedy. I was hoping HHH desire for a great wrestling match would defeat his joy of burials but I was wrong.

No. Mr. Fuji barring Luger from another title shot unless he won the rumble and then hiring Kabuki and Tenryu to attack him and "keep from winning". That's an elementary example. Wasn't it Jim Cornette who barred Luger from getting a title shot? Anyway, I only presented that example because it's the most famous. Considering that it happened at the height of the WWF's popularity and involved the biggest star of our generation. There's no need to be a jerk-off over stupid stuff like WWE booking. That's not being a jerk-off. I didn't go Coffey on you. I was saying the "elementary" example would been the 1994 deal.

Can't believe this is the second "big" PPV that Mickie's match basically stole the spotlight.
-
Well. What an utterly wasted show here. So much potential for once and they completely dropped the ball. The opening match was expected to be short and ugly. It went too long and the booking was mind-boggling. Chavo/Benoit was paint by numbers. Lita gave a spirited effort here and they made the most out of it with them. The post-match antics with Cryme Tyme was comical but took up too much time. Crowd made the entire segment work. DX/RKO. Man, what a total blown chance here. First off, the best thing about this was how hugely over Punk was here. Blowing out DX and Hardyz by a good margin. That wasn't a WWE controlled thing. The match started fine even if Knox ate a quick pin. No big deal, he was dead weight anyways. Things looked swell with Punking carrying the faces for about 5 minutes and then they let it go and did the rapid eliminations leading to DX squashing RKO. A match that had potential of 25-30 minutes barely went 10 minutes. Undertaker/Kennedy. Weeks of building Kennedy like a star, wasted. Kennedy is still a mid-carder. Vince's fetish for a big match and his blind belief that Batista/Taker will be a Hogan/Andre moment ruined a potentially new superstar for his company. Also, MVP got more of a rub here then Kennedy. The Cena/Show match was a joke as expected. Booker/Batista was the usual shit from these two. The show had good build and a pair of great potential matches and they blew it severely.

Well, it was hyperbole. Luger, Austin in '99 (maybe 98 as well), Brock in '03 and Benoit in '04.

Why? I mean, really. That's DONE. Just because it hasn't been for the title, unless I'm just forgetting something. They have history, and they could say that this is the end, once and for all (and hopefully mean it). I'm not talking something long like their last deal, just a little something to blow time for a while when Booker and Benoit needs a feud. It could be the pre-Mania deal like they do. Someone said Batista loses and is forced to win the RR to get a title shot. Problems with that are: A) Booker would have to hold on to the title from now til April 1st B) Batista would have to win the RR and stay healthy til April 1st C) The outcome of the match at WM wouldnt be in question one bit. Didn't they do that entire deal with Brock? He lost his last shot at the title, and had to win the RR to finally get another shot. It was either him or someone else over the past few years. They have done that routine about 6 times since Lex Luger started the booking pattern in 1994.
