Good slot as it should still get 20-30 here.

This was a great segment that really sends Lita out in the perfect way. They needed this after the first two matches.
-
Lita made the most of this match and they delivered with a good hot crowd. Cryme Tyme, makes this even better.
-
Philly is going through the catalouge right now. "She's a crackwhore" "She's got herpes" "She's a ho" etc, etc.
-
Interesting segment there with Edge/Lita/Cryme Tyme. Set up the obvious miscommunication spot with Lita and Edge.

The opener isn't giving me much hope for this show. Not because of the match quality, we knew it would suck but the booking was TNA bad.

I don't see how Louisville is even remotely close to being a bigger draw then ND (ratings or travel crowd, each). In fact, I can probably count all the teams that can match with ND on that level with one hand.

Since there is a higher then usual interest in this show, I figured like most "major" shows, we should get a AIM chat going. So, invite yourself to tsmseries, if you want.

So that explains why Raw has been using rehash gimmicks and angles and why Smackdown has been focusing on using wrestling matches to help promote angles and feuds. I'm just surprised he knew that Gerwirtz trying to model the 80's would have been an huge disaster. Basically by telling Hayes to book it like the 80's is Vince's way of saying "I don't give a shit, do your thing". Yeah but when has Vince ever given a shit about Smackdown since the brand split? When he was trying everything to get UPN to re-new the show.

I don't know why, but I get the feeling that Shawn or HHH is eating a surprise early exit.

That hasn't worked so far. Remember, the reaction to the last show at the Hammerstein caused them to move the ECW PPV to fucking GEORGIA! Waaaay out the way of an ECW stronghold. They don't give a fuck about the old ECW fans at all. Georgia isn't "waaayyy" out of the old ECW fanbase. It's not like they put the show in Arizona or Seattle. Georgia ran a few ECW shows and there you get the Florida fanbase that ECW was very active with.

The execs couldn't have really expected anything that isn't marketable to anyone outside a very narrow niche. This was a novelty movie and it'll make the money back at the DVD sales.

Are sure that Cleveland isn't the worst team in NFL instead of Oakland?
-
You should because the next trio of PPVs are likely to be horrid and booked in a rush and this card, while short of a (on paper) MOTYC, has probably the best overall booked card with enough intangibles to push it. You have a SS match with loaded talents likely getting great time, a clusterfuck of a trainwreck that can be hit or miss. A raunchy crowd sending Lita off, 'Taker/Kennedy should be a good brawl given how the build has progressed. I don't usually "feel" a PPV but this one I am actually looking forward to.

People in Denver don't remember what it's really like to struggle with a really bad QB. You had Elway for years, a cup of coffee with Griese and Plummer, whom was good enough despite Denver fans insisting that it was an illusion. All in all, remained a perennial playoff team. You could do entirely worse then Jake Plummer. Put in Brooks, Bledsoe, Fielder, Griese(again), either of the Detmers or any of the tons of worthless back-ups that never measured up to anything and you'd be begging for Plummer again.

2 and 1/2 men, like it's predecessor (Raymond) gets good ratings despite no real visible fanbase. I suspect the same people that watch and apparently enjoy 2 and 1/2 are the same people who brought Creed and read John Grisham.

Refute this statement and I'll tear you a new asshole

You don't need HBO service to see these shows. There's no reason, if you like televised entertainment, to have not seen Wire/Deadwood and the old shows (Oz, SFU, Sorpanos at its best, etc, etc). -

Yes, the peak was good for the characters but I always felt it got too much love. Sort of like Sorpanos was getting during its inception. After the main characters (Clooney, Marguiles, La Salle and Edwards) left, I felt the show dropped with having Wyle carry the show. I couldn't even tell you who is on the show right now aside from Mekhi Phiffer since it seems as if that cast inserts new people every time I pass through it and I never bothered to learn the new guys after Wyle finally left. -

The first 2 and 1/2 seasons were mind-blowingly great and then it dropped to standard drama but the last season and half has taken the show down from the greatness it had started with. Good acting from the principle characters but the story keeps going nowhere and gets more outlandish by the episode. That tends to be a problem with HBO shows once they get beyond 4-5 seasons (SFU, OZ, SITC, for example). Deadwood and Wire, haven't gotten to that wall yet and they'll get out in time before it occurs. When I think over-rated, CSI (and all it's versions). CSI, however, isn't a critical darling, so it's not expected to live up to its ratings in quality. I'll have to say E.R was severely overrated especially at it's peak even if it had a couple fantastic characters but as a whole the show got worse and worse and eventually, a joke of a program. -
You mean to tell me out of that entire pool of FSN announcers they have, they couldn't do better then Long and Bradshaw? This is why it's stupid to host the title games despite not having any games on your network aside from regional coverage.

No, teenagers are usually more reactive in these situations. They at least snag second base without effort. Marvin, freaks out once a hug comes into play.

Lita, post injury has been atrocious as a worker (not that she was great before it, aside from being a high-spot machine). The Trish match was smoke and mirrors with Trish going all out for her farewell match. Mickie is the best woman's wrestler on the Raw roster right now but there isn't much competition aside from Victoria who is marred by her long-term injury, Melina who rarely wrestles and isn't that good anyways. They have some good/decent talent in developmentals that could boost thing but people are shitting on this match because the match @ TT was a bomb with them trying to work a straight match and given the nature of Lita's departure and the likely hostile crowd trying to shit on Lita, it'll be rough unless Lita really does have that 2001 magic in her.

I'm glad you are a realist about the whole thing unlike most girls who get that ring and pass up any brainpower they had. I hate to admit it but I'd probably do something similar to him but more likely at a meaningful location like the site of our first date.
