They also tend to defend the titles against a wider variety of challengers. Yes, guys like Danielson did face Roderick Strong, Cabana and McGuinness multiple times, he still had a tremendous number of defenses against all types of people. However, it's seemigly the same crop of challengers for Cena and Triple H.

Good. I was about to inquire about changing the 4 tag team rule. However, I wish this was in effect earlier. I made it a point to match with MVC that I skipped some good tag teams in effort to get a good match with them in Bruiser/Crusher.

Well, they likely would've had someone break the Iron Man streak this year anyways if Mysterio didn't do that in 06. I'll be honest, I couldn't remember this particular version outside of Rey's complete lack of drama and that Mark Henry main evented a PPV. It's far from the worst rumble because the finish was fine and there were a couple decent spots here and there. 1999 was absolute garbage and failed to offer a single redeeming moment. 1995 gets a deserving bad knock for the lack of starpower beyond Shawn, Bulldog, Owen and Luger in addition to the 30 minute format. It does redeem itself to an extent for having a memorable finish (although it's been repeated quite a few times in other rumbles/royals). I think it'd be easy to sell a story of 10-15 guy winning the rumble. Shawn won in 1996 @ #18 and they still managed to sell the return, Owen and Bulldog's interaction with him and the finish with Diesel (although that was another lackluster edition). They typically go with the early or late numbers for the dramatic element. This year was about the surprise and last year was to finally validate the importance of #30. However, with the proper built in storyline, someone can draw a middle number and still present an engaging story for the Rumble.

Yes. He is the only guy to ever make a mistake in the ring. D-Lo is a tremendous talent and has drastically improved over the years. He'll be a great asset to the company.

HTM is a good pick since he's perfect against virtually every mid-card babyface. DD has options with JYD and Snuka. Good grab.

I was thinking to myself that I really lack a draw to the kids and I highlighted Hurricane as my potential option for that purpose. Hurricane is a different route from the other juniors in my group but he could still work exceptionally well against the trio of Danielson/Gibson/Malenko.

Before I selected Gibson, I was fully aware of your newfound love for Doi/Yoshino and accepted that I was going to lose out on Gen Next-Speed Muscle. No worries, plently of tag teams left to take.

I just watched for MVP-Punk and I thought it was tremendous improvement over their ECW match earlier this year. It felt like a PPV match being given away on free tv aside from the finish. I didn't mind Foley in this match. I've noticed he mails in the tv show but puts forth an effort on PPV. I think he's genuinely not interested in commentating but only took the job out of some sense of obligation. It's still better then Coach.

Don't forget Shane Douglas. I would say Warrior but Vince could get desperate very soon.

You guys were smart to take Tanaka and Scorpio because they were each on my top five for the draft board and likely were going to be taken this round.
-
Sending a list shouldn't be difficult. Just a top five would probably suffice as it's highly unlikely given the differences in most drafts that every single one of those options would be eliminated before your turn. I understand that some are likely to change their mind based upon seeing what someone else selected because it altered your hopes but you should manage to have a back-up (Just like Raven was my back up to losing Roberts).

Who is your wrestling hero and have you ever met him?
Hawk 34 replied to Lil' Bitch's topic in General Wrestling
If anyone considers a pro wrestler their hero, that's just sad. A better choice of a thread is "who is your favorite wrestling performer and have you met him?". -
Review: WWF King of the Ring 1993, from Dayton, Ohio; 6/13/1993.

I say it was that Luger and Tatanka had each turned by the time they had that series. -
If you take all three members of Too Cool, you can't have Juventud. That's four guys in 2 picks.

That's not a burial. Armado is the new Coach.
-
That's not her. I think it was the one you showed before with different makeup and hair style.

They really are the new age Doink/Dink.

It might have been. Blonde and the same chest size but the faces look different, she was wearing a more casual outfit in the office then that.

He came off as a 19 year old that was "very happy to realize his dream" but he did put over his past in Japan, Europe and the rest of the world. Nothing bad just very plain intro. However, he looked very crisp in the ring. I didn't think Knox could take a 'rana.
-
Was this a Diva Search girl? ECW does lack divas, so it's not a surprise to see more added. Did they say she was Long's assistant or was she just a blonde in the office?

There's the first Bourne Identity reference and it won't be the last.

I was more bothered that Nova went before Rogers. Rogers is a great pick but he wasn't going to fit my group and I didn't want to wedge a quality guy into something he doesn't fit into.

Did they dig an old box out of a closet? Titan Sports.

Every single one of those photos is every stereotype of pro wrestling fans in one collection. A Kane Mask tattoo?

They needed to make it a "game" of sorts. Just answering the phone (which half of the calls didn't) and saying a "password" that was the same throughout the show isn't going to inspire someone to care. They should have new passwords for every call and reveal them during the previous matches. Reward fans for paying close attention to the show. Make the cash prize a mystery for each call as well.
