Vanished My first new show to fall out of favor with me. I gave it two weeks and I wasn't interested anymore as the constant swerves and awkward direction wasn't appealing. A complete lack of likable characters also hurt the show. Justice Despite just one episode, I think will earn a regular spot on the DVR. I don't think the pilot was all that strong but I see some potential down the line.

I don't think he was the owner, he was white. If anything, he's just keeping customers spirits up.

This is probably one of the strongest builds to a complete show from Raw in awhile as every match has signifcant build. DX/McMahons, Edge/Cena are months long at this point. Trish/Lita, is a storied feud dating back 2+ years and they have make sure to push the farewell aspect. The rest of the stories are logical for the most part and they aren't random. Is it a strong card? I think the appeal of TLC/HIAC/Trish's farwell is more enticing then previous Raw ppvs have had for the general fanbase. With a strong push next week, they could easily make Unforgiven a watchable ppv.

Gas is still dropping around here, it was 2.21 this morning. I did ask the guy while I was getting a couple drinks and he said that as far as he knows, it'll keep going down.

Everyone keeps assuming they aren't doing anything with Punk, despite no evidence to prove the internet paranoia. They made it a purpose to debut him at Hammerstein, knowing that Punk would be well received. They are aware that MSG presents the same type environment for Punk. Punk will get a pop and be over throughout the match regardless of who he faces but the important thing is to make this particular night bigger for him to suit the crowd response he'll get.

It's available on all HBO OnDemands. This is the case for alot of shows. The Dane Cook Comedy Special "premeried" last night, but I was able to watch it OnDemand, early monday morning.

I normally really like Meltzer's stuff, but that might be one of the dumbest statements I've ever read. Meltzer, rarely puts his blatant bias aside and this is no exception. Even in those days, he would verbally blow Flair by any means. Even when Flair had nothing to do with the subject at hand.

They need to make sure that the "fans" aren't obvious indy kids. Other then that, iMPACT looks generic as usual.

ECW @ MSG, is huge and it really needs to the night they make Punk a star. The crowd will obviously be bonkers for Punk, they can't squelch it by having go over another ecw original of no value. He needs a big victory, over a meaningful name. If Punk needs to issue a challenge to someone from SD or Raw, so be it. Punk needs to either get a meaningful win or have some impact via a live promo. MSG is the type of crowd that Punk controls. I said it not so long ago that MSG is one of the very few crowds that Vince listens to, he respects MSG far to great. A dramatic shift in the career of Punk should arrive that night. Punk has been pushed modestly but with effort, they clearly have a liking for him and it's not a Heyman thing. Vince is high on Punk, and if he can ignore the high school antics from Hayes and Gerwirtz, he'll do something for Punk.

The people who cry racism about Cryme Tyme wouldn't have been able to handle the stuff Cornette did back in his day or what most promoters did.
-
That's not really being cheap as paying $1.50+ (at most places) for watered down soda is stupid.
-
You can't be serious. I am black and I was offended by that whole promo. It was racist and very stupid!! I agree with kizzo..it would turn away black viewers if anything No. It wouldn't and there is precedent from the WWE market that they wouldn't turn off those viewers. Let's go back to the aforementioned "Lie, Cheat, Steal" angle with Eddie and Chavo. It was done with the same purpose as CrymeTyme. A parody of a popular stereotype. What followed was an MASSIVE ratings ballon with the hispanic demographic being far and away the top demo for Smackdown. The show revolved around the comedy of two latinos playing up a stereotype that most hispanics connect with. They GOT that it was a parody and they got with Eddie because he used it to his advantage to succeed. Does that mean CrymeTyme will register? Who knows if these two guys have the charisma that Eddie does to connect but to make an horrible statement like that is completely false just on factual basis alone. There IS a market for this stuff and it SELLS in a big fucking way.
-
Let's also remember that TNA is basically doing the same thing but with latino gangbangers instead. The only difference is that TNA's version are viewed as dangerous threats, while WWE's version with a black duo is done for comedy.

Considering that WWE's actual biggest demographic is the 34+ males, it isn't a bad move to have Flair at his age still being protrayed as a ladies man. Everyone knows some old guy that can always charm the ladies and that is exactly what Ric Flair is. Maria isn't banging Flair, she's just being a flirt with a charming guy. It's fairly conventional and it suits the demographic that Raw actually reaches to. That brings about the question of why WWE uses cheap comedy skits involving DX? It's no secret that the primary market for WWE is those of low income and low education. This appeals to those types. CrymeTyme is your paint by numbers parody of a stereotype that has been consistantly mocked since the influx of "Gangsta" themed movies back in the early 90's. This is hardly a offensive gimmick as WWE has done much worse. The black community has clearly always supported this type of characterization as these types of movies, music and television has done very well over the years. The real problem is that Vince missed the boat on this as he usually does.
-
For anyone to protray themselves as "offended" by the CrymeTyme gag is simply ludicrious. As far as conventional parodies, it was fairly tame compared to the type of stuff done on Chapelle's Show (generally praised by the black community) and other sketch based shows. They had good stuff in OVW and are pretty solid at being a Gangstas type tag team. There are numerous things worse then the CrymeTyme duo.

Which is why he booked himself and his other son in the main event...

Survivor Series is in November... Cena vs. Orton... TABOOOOSDAY~! They dumped that name and moved it back to Sunday.
-
I worry that this match is the start of the inevitable Cena/Orton program.
-
Money mark, means a fan/businessman who spends his own money to promote wrestling. Usually, they lose money because it's not an easy business to run.
-
It's nice to have a regular main event with a hot crowd in a match that doesn't suck.
-
They really should have just thrown Foley/Maria and Nitro/Melina for full measure.
-
Aren't those the sheepfuckers? I know the fat black guy and the metrosexual were the ratfuckers... Not sure about the two imbreds. Not to mention the Queer Eye Guys at ringside.
-
I wonder if Trish has the same reservations about facial damage as Stephanie was (insert Rando follow-up) considering her wedding is forthcoming.
-
Atlanta is his hometown. He has an open contract with John Cena...you put the pieces together.

If Vince had never seen Pirates of the Carribean do you really think he watches Chappelle's Show? A few months ago, Vince was adamant about doing a Chapelle's show gimmick after he saw a tape of it. He pushed it onto Shelton Benjamin but found out that Shelton couldn't do the gimmick.
