That's what puzzles me about ESPN. ESPN2 has Wimbledon on. ESPN has people eating hot dogs, and seriously trying to make it sound like a sport. WTF. What scares me is that the hot-dog announcers put their "sport" over better then wrestling and most of the ESPN's baseball announcers.

Yea I have that mag. Actually I got to see Joe as a rookie in UIWA in 00-01, which used to run shows in my home area of Ventura County, CA. Back then he was part of their tag champs as Samoa Joe (always used that name) with Partner "Foob Dog" (another generic samoan guy who resembled rikishi a bit) as "The Island Syndicate" I have programs with his pic son them too. I don't rmemeber seeing him and thinking he was going to be a big star, nor do I remember him being alll bad-ass back then (but again that was a while ago) so I was really shocked when I started reading about him online in like 04 and everyone making a big deal out of him. It's kinda cool to know that I saw him when he first started. I got to meet him and the other wrestlers after the show and was really nice to me. that I do remember I wonder how those idiots at WWE feel about completely missing Samoa Joe when they were drooling over Jesus and Cena.

They make it sound like they are going to "strip" the title from RVD because he let them down for losing to Edge. I could see those morons vacating the title for no reason at all to set up a title match at SNME.

As someone speculated a few pages back, there's a pretty good chance Edge will win the ECW Title tonight because Paul Heyman will turn on RVD. In McMahon-Bizarro World, that will both further the ECW brand's storyline, AND continue RVD's punishment. Slightly off-subject: As soon as Vince didn't come out and poo-poo all over the "Let's do the SNME Match Tonight" announcement, we should have known RVD would be staring at ceiling before the night was up. Vince hasn't shown any interest or concern about the entire ECW situation aside from a brief mention in a promo. The whole ECW/RVD Vs Raw thing only exists to JR and King. The rest of the show doesn't even know there is an ECW.

I think Lance is still too recent to be placed up on a Mt. Rushmore. Jordan's end might have been less ten years ago but his impact will obviously be felt for a very, very, very long time. Lance was a great story and a legitimate inspiration but beyond that, to fit a SPORTS Mt. Rushmore, he isn't at that level.

I'm disapointed that Marlon and Damon don't work together as often as they should (if ever). Damon and Marlon can act, Keenan can direct/produce but I guess they all got to sink to Shawn's level so no one is left out. Why can't they be like the Baldwins? You don't see Alec going "Okay, fuck the great roles and award nominations, I gotta help Daniel and Billy out"

This is a guy who no-showed many events just because of his ego. People are getting the idea that Sabu wants out because at the 6/23 ROH show, Sabu talked to D'Amore and asked about coming back to TNA because he wasn't happy.

Vince had to show that superstars(and RVD fit that bill) weren't going to get special treatment if the test positive or are found carrying illegal substances because he wants this policy to have credibility. Iggy, you are neglecting the fact it wasn't JUST weed they were found with. They were found with pills, which is included in the policy. Sabu was having to work 3-4 shows per week doing big bumps traveling every day. TNA is 2-3 tapings per month. Much better for Sabu's body. Sabu was depressed about the direction ECW was going.

Sabu was already looking to go back to TNA anyways. He isn't going to be too down about getting canned. Van Dam, ISN'T getting fired.

See the problem with Holyfield/Tyson III is that the meat of the whole thing is the hype itself. The months of build up and all of the crazy antics. In the past we would convince ourselves that Mike still had it, now we know he doesn't have it. Who would drop $50 when the real main event comes before they even arrive to the arena?

Except about 200 other people who actually hit the spots and are flashier and more innovative. What does that have to do with taking a bump? I don't know if he's the best...but he is pretty good. When he bumps, he lands directly flat on his back, and you can just tell that's one of those bumps that looks like it knocks the wind out of you. Have you seen him take a powerbomb, or those rolling powerbombs to the outside from the ring apron? The man can take a bump. And that doesn't have anything to do with how well someone hits spots, or how innovative they are. RVD is probably top 30 in taking DDT's but there is still a long list of workers who take bumps better then RVD.
