    Official Judgement Day Thread

Undertake/Khali is a guranteed trainwreck. Jillian/Melina is a guranteed suckfest. Angle/Henry could be good not great.... you get what I am trying to say? Booker-Lashley, JBL-Mysterio? Lashley is far too green for Booker to carry beyond a short squash, Mysterio is way to banged up and JBL doesn't work well in non-brawl environments and the planned finish isn't helping matters either.

Wasn't there heat on Melina and Nitro as well? There has been heat on Melina for awhile now, I do recall Nitro having some heat for something but I don't remember what it was.

I remember Meltz saying something about WWE being high on Mercury, so who knows, maybe he'll be getting singles push now. That's just typical WWE, breaking up teams for no reason.

Figures they would put the two good matches on the card back to back.

Im going to need some advice..

No, MI3 is the choice to take. It's a popcorn movie, which means you can get into it but not have to pay complete attention to it while talking/playing with each other.
  6. Die Hard? Edit: N/M I read it as Bruce Willis not Sam Jackson... Shaft, S.W.A.T, Coach Carter were Jackson vehicles that were successful. He has obviously been parts of franchise movies like Star Wars, Incredibles, Jurassic Park, Kill Bill and of course, Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown. When you are a star that gets used for big money franchise films, you are a-listed.

All right, I'm not going to get it. Finlay/Benoit and MnM/London+Kendrick isn't enough to pull me.

I'm almost feeling dumb enough to buy this thing, it's never an issue of $, but rather a issue of worth and interest.

Nothing like injecting that guy into the main event scene to revive Smackdown.

ECW gets a normal time slot

Vince refuses to use lesser quality in his production.
  11. Jessica Alba wasn't the star or main attraction in either Sin City or Fantastic 4. Alba isn't in Sam Jackson's league or Willis for that matter. She is nothing more than something pretty to look at, her acting skills are zilch. The one movie that she was the star was "Honey" and that flopped miseably. To further add to your point, she was the star name in Into the Blue which was so bad people forget to mock it.

    The O.C.

Looking back at the final scene, I can't believe I missed the 3 layered shot of the history of Ryan carrying Marissa (the time Marissa passed out by the pool house and the time she overdosed in TJ) as Ryan carried her for one last time and the shot of Marissa and Ryan's first meeting. All it really means is that it showed just how great the first season really was.

    Best indy matches 2004-now?

I think BTOB was playing off "At Our Best", which was also the night before WM. You might be correct about NOC, but I enjoyed Danielson/London and AJ/Red Vs Briscoes and I was digging Punk/Whitmer, while I wasn't big on Joe/Xavier. I liked the formation of SCS. I just seem to recall EE more easily then I do for NOC. To be honest, I don't often go back to 2002/2003 shows, maybe I should re-watch NOC and see if it holds up better then I remember. That's a tough question between P:TFC and ASEII It's Joe/Punk III, Low Ki/Aries and Danielson/Homicide Vs Punk/Cabana, Joe/Lethal Vs Homicide and Low Ki and Hardy/Strong. I have the say the upper hand goes to ASEII. However, that whole 8/12 and 8/13 weekend for ROH, was incredible. Only the recent WM Triple-Shot weekend could match. Those two weekends, are ROH's stand-out weekends in their histories.
  16. Was Hogan turning down the part in hopes of getting final confirmation that Santa with Muscles 2 would go into production?
  17. Alba, was a part of two ensemble casts. Alba, drew nothing on her own name for Honey or Into the Blue. You plug any hot chick in F4 and SC, and those movies have the same success.

Im going to need some advice..

Animation doesn't work for first dates, DVC brings up the possibility of a post-movie religious confrontation, MI3 is popcorn fare. SNE by all accounts will have her walking out because of the absurd stupidity of it all. Also, I've found going to a movie you already seen before hand is a good thing. This way you know the story and the "it" moments, so you know when to compliment her, play around a little(although I have a feeling it won't be an issue for you) and you don't need to focus on the movie as much.

Good question, the movie selection is crucial. People always downplay the importance of this, horror movies are gold and emotional drama/tragic/epics are death for date movies.

    Best indy matches 2004-now?

I went ahead and ranked the shows by year because it's a little easier and it's not fair to compare 2002 with 04/05 because the highest ranked '02 show wouldn't make the top overall 25. Ring of Honor 2002 Unscripted Glory by Honor All Star Extravaganza Era of Honor Begins Round Robin Challenge Road to the Title Honor Invades Boston Final Battle 02 Crowning a Champion Night of the Butcher Night of Appreciation Scramble Madness Ring of Honor 2003 Death Before Dishonor Expect the Unexpected The Epic Encounter War of the Wire Main Event Spectacles Night of Champions Final Battle 03 Bitter Friends, Stiffer Enemies Night of Grudges RRC2 Revenge on the Prophecy Empire State Showdown Wrath of the Racket The Conclusion Beating the Odds One Year Anniversary Do or Die Wrestle Rave 03 Glory by Honor 2 Tradition Continues Frontiers of Honor 02 and 03, were loaded with one match shows, and only a small handful felt like complete shows from top to bottom. Ring of Honor 2004 All Star Extravaganza II Final Battle 04 Death Before Dishonor 2 Part 2 At Our Best Glory by Honor III Generation Next Midnight Express Reunion Testing the Limit Joe Vs Punk II Reborn Stage One Survival of the Fittest Weekend of Thunder Night 2 Death Before Dishonor 2 Part 1 Battle Lines Are Drawn GOLD Weekend of Thunder Night 1 Reborn Completion World Title Classic Round Robin Challenge 3 Reborn Stage 2 2YA Scramble Cage Melee The Last Stand Ring of Honor 2005 Punk: The Final Chapter Manhattan Mayhem 3YA Night 2 Nowhere to Run Redemption Joe Vs Kobashi This Means War The Final Showdown Final Battle 05 Steel Cage Warfare Death before Dishonor 3 3YA Night 3 SOTF 05 Escape From New York Sign of Dishonor Unforgettable Stalemate Back to Basics 3YA Night 1 Glory By Honor IV It All Begins Fate of An Angel Dragon Gate Invasion Vendetta Enter the Dragon The Homecoming BOASJ The Future is Now New Frontiers Showdown in Motown Night of Tribute Buffalo Stampede Night of Grudges 2 Trios Tournament 05 04 & 05 were pretty hard to rank compared to the other two years because the quality was significantly higher each year. Right now it's too early but BITW is the #1 show of 2006 right now but that will probably change with Better then our Best or the 5/13 show.

    That show is still on?

I noticed how tonight was the finale for two long running sitcoms ('70s Show, Will & Grace), each of those shows lasted eight years. In the grand scheme of things, 8 years isn't too long but in the modern age of impatient networks, shows don't last as long if they don't draw the ratings in right away. So what shows on TV, surprise you by still being on despite low ratings/season amounts/quality etc, etc or rather, recent shows you felt lasted way to long before finally going off the air. I mean shows like The Simpsons and Law and Order are obvious but I can't believe shows like King of the Hill, King of Queens, ER and According to Jim/George Lopez are still kicking.

Im going to need some advice..

The car show is a test. She wants to see if Marvin really wants this or not, it's not like the car show is out of his way. It has nothing to do with the car show, the car show serves as a mere location. The problem is, they have tried to set things up before and it hasn't worked. The chick basically spelled it out for him.
  23. Someone said a few days about about how wrestling fans always turn on wrestlers/personalities if they go outside the wrestling business. This thread has proven that some people can't accept that some of these people don't need the mighty Vince McMahon to survive. More people watched Stacy on DWTS, then Raw ever drew. Stacy was an side-act on Raw and was rarely a feature player. With DWTS, she was THE STAR. Jerry Rice and Drew Lachey already were famous in their own right, Stacy was a virtual unknown and become the talk of a top ranked national network program. She was the lead story for ET, Acess Hollywood and Extra. She's a part of ABC's promotional package and you can be assured that once she's out of the WWE contract for good, she will be finding her way on an ABC sitcom or drama.

Im going to need some advice..

The girl was dropping hints like crazy and Marvin was completely oblivious to these signs. I think even WP's gimmick would have caught the signs. Don't most guys figure out the whole "I'm gonna be here at this time" routine means "I want you here" when we're like 12 and some girl in our science class casually mentions "I'm baby sitting at Mrs. Johnson's house tonight"...and we all know that means they want us to come over to Mrs. Johnson's house to make out? The girl basically invited Marvin to Mrs. Johnson's house and he missed the glowing neon sign flashing in front of him.

    Best indy matches 2004-now?

It was, you also had a very fun Curry Man Vs Lethal match up along with decent comedy from Kituaro(Ebessan) and Nosawa in a 4 way with Nigel and Whitmer. I would probably rank TMW, somewhere in the bottom of the top ten roh over-all shows. Remind me to do a ranking of ROH shows sometime. I'll probably do it after I get 100th show and then try to properly rank the shows.
