James is the fucking man. MAN!

Kobe draws pages of content and LeBron gets no-sold by TSM.

That's correct. House asked him to raise his left arm, Foreman raised his right arm instead.

Umm..... It's already been confirmed they are planning on making him a key part of the new ECW and he'll get a big push. Just a question of if they will use the OVW belt as a part of his character in ECW.
-
*SPOILER ALERT* *SPOILER ALERT* *SPOILER ALERT* Heyman's golden boy won the OVW Title tonight and it's possible the OVW Title may play a part in the NEW ECW.

I completely loved tonight's episode. It had that season finale feel to it and the final 10 minutes was just great stuff and the final scene left me with a "OH NO" open face reaction and no sound was about to come out.
-
So Paris was sent packing? That is good to know.
-
No, all promotions face the possiblity of losing workers or having workers called up or signing with another promotion. Heyman is more the used to having his stars snatched from him.

There isn't anything Barkley can't go on tangent about. We need more Barkley's in our sports world.

Think of it as a $10 upgrade for a smaller, more intimate venue Think of it as what any concert over the $65 range is, the band(s) fucking you.

It's always the same thing as well, "I lost that night (insert name) but you see, what I got from it was more then just that, I found what I was missing! A sadistic urge that I buried inside myself and you brought it out in me. BANG BANG!". Foley knocks Flair working the same match for 15 years, well Foley has been working the same promo for 5 years now.
-
See, I actually don't mind those guys... at least they attempt to put someone over... I'd rather not see Steve Austin ever again. Foley puts himself over just as much as he guy he puts over. Foley is just as much of a formula as Austin is. Austin is just smarter about spacing his appearences out to sustain his heat.

Correct me if I am wrong but didn't Wood already have a history of injury trouble before Dusty came around?
-
I was hoping to find out that he was a lefty himself for all the comical irony but alas, he's a damn righty. Anyways, that statement probably doesn't even rank on the top 25 "most illogical comments from Dusty Baker"

Greatest Teams Tournament, Super Regionals
Hawk 34 commented on EVIL~! alkeiper's blog entry in Keiper's Pit
OT: I just needed to point out that things are going to get complicated in terms of how we indentify teams. '06 used to mean 1906, but now it can mean 2006. Once we get going in the century...we will have to force our lazy asses to add the first two numbers when identifying a year. -
Was he bad in the eyes of the smarks? Or bad in the eyes of management? Because it'd be almost impossible to turn both groups off. Well, sounds like Dave was making his own opinion there on Dreamer's weakness as a booker. Remember Tommy was kicked out of the booker's office in almost record time a couple years ago.

GayBL? What are you, 12 years old? Wow, that was original. So, you rather see the title go back around the waist of that Anal-Rapist, Justin "The Hawk" Bradshaw. A guy who blew Vince all the way to the top. Yeah. GayBL is rather pathetic and atrocious as far as insults are concerned and calling it 12 year old level is being generous. Smackdown is a sinking ship, despite the upgrade in quality. Everyone is falling apart. WWE needs someone to plug in while they wait for the messiah (Batista) to return. Rey is hurt, he can't continue his botched run much longer. Kurt is out of the picture. Orton went Orton. You got JBL and Henry. JBL can at least carry a program and put over the other guy.
-
Dreamer was a bad booker, but he's good at handling things. He should be Heyman's asscociate and handle the other stuff and let Heyman worry about the writing and booking.

Two songs previously ruined by Savol in one night. What are the odds? heh I'll be damned, you're right! seriously, those two songs, Whitney songs, Mariah songs and Stevie Wonder songs are death for a contestant. Kelly Clarkson songs as well....don't try to out do a former champion, people. At least not her most current smash hit single. Do a lesser known song of Kelly, if you must. Wonder is funny, they criticize people for using it and yet use Stevie Wonder as a theme. I think it was Randy who made the suggestion they do Beatles Week. I wonder how this TOP 5 would pull off a Beatles Theme. Next year they need to shake up the themes because it's the same kind, which I know is a part of the formula. No more Stevie Wonder, Rod Stewart and all the others they have used. The last two years they have pushed the "rocker", so use a real rock band for it. Aerosmith will do anything, do an Aerosmith theme.

So that's been his role since Panda bought TNA a few years ago? OK. Still, it seems like he has enough clout to make sure his matches go last on PPV, even when he isn't the World Heavyweight Champion. That is the perks of being an executive, being close friends with the head booker and having a close "friendship" with the President.
-
It's why people have been predicting TNA's death since 2002, when they started. I'm still surprised that as inconsistent as TNA is that they've lasted this long, especially considering that Jarrett owns the promotion. Jarrett doesn't own the promotion. He has a executive role but he isn't the owner.

Anyone think they could try to reduce it to a 2/2 deal with the girls and the guys? Which probably puts Elliot on the outside. Paris should go because she isn't really that impressive and I can't see her having a successful career (on the Kelly scale) maybe she can reach Fantasia levels but Fantasia had a insanely good voice. Chris could easily wind up with a gig outside AI because any generic radio rock band would take him in an instant. Katharine lacks the personality (look at her discomfort in the post and pre-performence interviews) that could just be Seacrest and his obvious attempt to knock her down. Taylor would be a novelty act that I really don't expect to sell outside AI's bubble and Elliott is a even smaller example of that. I think this is the best TOP 5 yet but it lacks the "it" factor that came with Kelly. I'm sure AI is fine with having another Clay/Carrie on their hands (modest success) but not critical success but they need another mega star to emerge from AI. They can't get to AI: 8 and still push Kelly's success while hiding the modest success of others.

Yeah, let's stick to good old fashioned hosses. We can only hope Vince relalises his mistake and no-one under 6 foot 5 ever gets the belt again. I swear, you whine about Vince favoring big no talent guys, then bitch when a small, talented worker gets the strap. Rey Mysterio should have gotten this title, no question, but it should have been booked better, this is the worst booked title reign I can remember right now. Jericho is the measuring stick for horribly booked title reigns. Mysterio's was too short to match up.

Burchill also has more personality to do something other then a generic "I light to fight" gimmick. I still insist on a Benoit led quasi 4H group with Albright, Burchill and Smith.
