Sports were considered pretty important here in Tennessee, but not to THAT extent. But still, the star quarterback tended to get more preferential treatment than the valedictorian, which I think is ridiculous. And if there really are high school stadiums that have 15,000 seats, well then, they're obviously not spending much money on academics. It's a massively disproportionate waste of time, effort, and resources to put that much emphasis on a football game instead of on doing your homework. Most those schools that spend alot of money on sports, make alot of money off it. The ones I was thinking of, that I have seen are also regarded highly for academics as well. High profile athletic institutions and top-quality academics can work together as one. Most decent sized HS stadiums hold about 6,000 seats, these schools are basically adding another set of bleachers to the average venue. My HS stadium was undersized, actually (holding just under 4500) because we had an arena sized building that was our gym that held nearly 10,000. Why was our gym so big? Because they wanted to make money off it, it was used for basketball, wrestling and other events. (not just for our school), it always hosts local tournaments and events for other schools and organizations. Having a big arena was for both the school and city, to make money.

BTW, I want proof that ACE is his real name. His name, is way too stage-name for me.

And of course, being on USA allows for them to cross-promote with Raw.

ROH's THE CHAMP IS HERE was a better shirt, so was the BRUTALITY DEFINED shirt. That one is meh.

SD's side was already russo-rific. How did Matt get in? By DQ. How did Lashley get in? battle royal. Nobody is taking Lashley/Finlay as serious threats to win because they aren't at that level yet and they got a hot angle that basically assures they will keep each other from winning. Matt Hardy, while popular is never going to be a realistic threat to get a world title shot. What my not-so serious suggestion does was keeps Lashley/Finlay intense and focused between them, instead of forcing them to rescrict their blood feud in between spots. Matt getting his ass kicked in awkward situations is always good fun and MnM should be on the show.

You must live in an area where HS sports aren't everything. Go to Texas, California or Ohio. They got huge stadiums there for high school football (not all of them, but they were there) Just because you were always picked last for gym, doesn't mean it doesn't have a purpose. I hated Math and sucked at, but you don't see me bitching that it shouldn't be used in HS.

I still like my idea of someone knocking Matt Hardy out backstage before the match and that person takes over Hardy in the match. As a running gag, similar to Mike Sanders on Thunder a few years ago, Matt keeps getting knocked out every time he gets up. I would have Carlito and Masters, fresh from their match in a fight or celebration (it works either way) and Masters, accidently knocks out a near-by Matt Hardy who was on his way to the ring for the MITB. Carlito, chuckles and tells Masters "I'll be back, all right?"... Then Carlito takes Matt's spot in the MITB match. They should show Lashley and Finlay brawling on HEAT during some "wrestlers meeting" organized by Long. They brawl out in the street and basically disappear. MnM walk up to Long and thank him for giving them the night off because they had to leave early anyways for their movie premeire in London, the next night. Long, decides to throw MnM into the ladder match. Lashley and Finlay return at some point during the night from the streets, still slugging it out and they brawl throughout the arena after knocking Matt Hardy out again. They end up brawling inside the ring during the playboy pillow fight on top of the bed. The two nearly naked diva's scream and run away in horror as the feathers from the pillows fly in the air and the two men still beat the hell out of each other. Matt wakes up during Edge/Foley, which turned into a falls count anywhere match in the back and Lita, uses Matt as a shield against Foley. This does many things, keeps Finlay and Lashley hot, the comedy of Matt getting his ass kicked and gets MnM on the show. Everybody wins.

That reminds me, I wonder if any of the roh guys skip the HOF to attend the ROH show that night? London, I believe skipped WM20's show for the show in NJ. I could see Spanky and London doing that again. It's not like they can get de-pushed. I remember reading that last year, it wasn't mandatory for wrestlers to attend the HOF show.

I don't see why USA couldnt air the whole thing its not like they have much to put on the air on a sat night right? well thankfully it'' be in full on the dvds and yea I see the great Irony in having Cena induct Perry, but maybe that's the point? No, that's not the point. You see, Perry is a god in Chicago. Cena, struggles to be over. They want Cena to be over by association.

You need to force it on them because they need it. The schools have a responsiblity to keep their children educated and that includes physically educated as well. Learning things like team-work, leadership, athletic ability, strength and other stuff are very important things to learn. You won't get that from Physics. You can learn this in PE How can you say high-schools dont reap rewards from athletics? Why you think HS's build 15,000 seat stadiums for football, or arenas for basketball? It's an attraction that draws money. Why you think schools actively recruit players from out of the area to attend their school? Because that school makes money off of it. Why do you have a resentment towards PE? What i was saying was, someone (probably you) mentioned that PE only pointed out the social awkwardness of HS. HS, itself points that out. Not just PE. Which is why cutting PE for that reason is a bad move, because it doesn't eliminate anything, except healthier teens.

Not at my school it wasn't. That's a pretty big if. As to the athletes debate, yeah, they've got added "incentive" to get good grades: do well or you're taken off the team. But yes, the jocks do definitely get preferential treatment, at least they did at every school I ever attended, especially if they play "important" sports like football or basketball. Of course, athletes get special treatment. Why shouldn't they? Face it, schools make a killing off athletics. If a football player busts his ass and puts himself on the line, and the school can reap the rewards, is giving him a sliding scale on the geometry exams hurting anyone? No. PE, should required because it gets those fat geeks away from the protractors and in shape. If those people are supposed to be our leaders in 25 years, I want them to be healthy as possible. PE, gives you a variety of things. One, it was fun as hell. Two, gets you active. Three, gives your head a break from the overdose of knowledge that you are getting injected with. All this knowledge you learn just so you can pass these tests, so schools can get more money. Using the whole "PE just highlights the awkwardness of teenagers". Geometry doesn't do that? A fat kid will still be a fat kid, the emo-kids will still be cutting their wrists and the jocks will still be banging the cheerleaders. That won't change if you get rid of PE.

Bret Hart, shouldn't be giving his speech before Tony Atlas, Sherri and William Perry. The emotional climax of the whole thing, builds off Bret's first public appearence in WWE in 10 years. His final goodbye. That's the draw of the ceremony, and it's that, bringing back the montreal sentiments that is purposely done to draw more attention. The past 5 months, WWE has pushed Montreal yet again. Bret makes a couple statements in the last two weeks, and it's Bret that is holding a grudge and not letting it go?

No kidding. A show in Toronto = sell out easily. They should have taken the one night only deal with Christian and used that for a Canada debut. Bring in a local "big" name to draw a crowd beyond the usual smarts and deliver a strong enough show to convince others to come back the next time, eve if Christian isn't there.

Flair, is there to pop the crowd. He'll probably do a Flair flop off the ladder to a big pop, have a chop-fest on all 5 other guys and do a comeback sequence that'll have the crowd rabid. Flair, won't need to take big bumps when he's already over as he is.

This reminds me of someone, in WCW (I forget who) was cutting a promo in the ring and someone threw a cup of soda at the guy and nailed him square in the back of his head. That said person no-sold it and commenced with the promo as if it never happened.

Aside from doing a C4 off the ladder through the tables, Burchill wasn't giving you much else for the match.

To be honest, Cena should have cut the first half of the myspace promo (when you are ripping off Chris Hero, you got problems) on Raw. I know he briefly touched on the "I am Me. You can love me or hate me, it's your choice" aspect of his character but they should have hammered that he isn't concerned with the fans because it's all about being the champ. So that way, when he gets shit on at Mania, they can point at that promo as the "cause".
