Wow, the internet really can turn on anyone. I'm not turning on anyone. The match sucked. Everyone more or less knew it would suck going in, and they didn't disprove anything. RVD and shelton shouldn't be depushed over this, but they certainly dont need to face eachother ever again. This has been over a year. Masters still isn't over. This is Randy Orton territory. He isn't being pushed as the "future" of the business or the top guy in the business. I always thought he was pushed as a big, stupid dolt who can beat people up but has no clue about anything. He had his taste with the main event, but it's not like they are trying to put the promotion on his unover shoulders like Orton. But umm...yea, remember that point when you know, Orton WAS over.... Until then they decided to turn him face. You might argue he only got over because he was 'pushed down peoples throat' but if he was as bad as people say, he would have never got over, even if he was. But...he isn't over now and isn't going to be again unless they really hit something and they haven't shown remote signs of pulling that feat off again.

Perhaps its for the best that they dont draw attention to whats happening in the ring. I don't know why they thought two guys who primarily work because they do acrobatic stuff but nothing else in between would be something special.

Yeah, RVD/Benjamin will go 8 minutes...they will do a couple nifty counters and the collective board will bust a nut but Shelton will botch a spot, RVD will completely hit air a handful of times but everyone will orgasm at the counters and acrobatic display that is "unfairly" ruined by Flair's interference.

Because he's usually at the BUTT end of his feuds. Aka, it's usually him who gets his ass whupped. Even though with the last one, he did sort of win in the end. Plus, this is the first time he's been seen in months/years, as opposed to the other Mcmahons who make a lot more appearences. but I will admit, this little stint is making me not want to see him again for a really long time. It's usually Shane who gets his ass whupped IN THE END...normally after a few weeks of making his opponent look fairly weak, it wasn't so bad in his earlier feuds during the Corporation Era...but the Kane thing was just bad. Shane doesn't even get his ass whooped in the end. He dominates the blow off match (look at Survivor Series) and then either beats himself or the opponent hits a fluke move and wins. It's always his "HOLY SHIT!" bumb that gets the attention, anyways. It's never the finish of the match/feud.

Vince, has his moments of quality entertainment or can at least draw good heat. Linda, rarely appears. Stephanie, actually has a shred of credibility Shane? Just an even more annoying character, he's greying rapidly and is still trying to act 20. The only time Shane was ever amusing was with the MSP against Test and X-Pac where he was supposed to be the annoying silver-spoon fed asshole who tried to impress daddy.

Oh, right. Remember, RVD can't have his move anymore but Shane can.

So the 4 guys can't beat Shawn but Shane simply thwacks the cage into Shawn and that takes him out.

Edge, was smart enough to point out that "DQ's and Reversed decisions, don't count". Other then that, Foley doesn't have a great Mania past. He hasn't gotten a straight pin-fall/submission victory. (Although, He might have gotten the pin-fall on TBS at 2000) Regardless, there is nothing right about this angle. Foley has in fact won at Mania, and I think he did pin the Big Show. The concept that "You've never won...well, you have, but those wins dont count" is a ridiculous angle. I think Edge fucked up the original line and for some God foraken reason they're running with it. "The most anticipated main event in Mania history" In some ways, I guess it is. It started with a "Sorry, I kinda but not really costed you the title although your girlfriend is more to blame for that if anything" cause...then it was "I'm was a better transitional champion then you" cause...that shifted into "Well, I am unbeaten in WM matches involving Ladder matches and a meaningless "home" victory...you just so happened to main event a WM but you haven't pinned anyone, so I'm still better then you!" How hard is it to go "I hate you and want to kick your ass because I'm pissed I am not the champion anymore" "Well, I hate your attitude and I want one more last Mania match and beating your ass will be worth it".

Edge, with his history should have tried to make the match with Foley a Ladder match instead. Edge is like Jericho, impossible to take serious when they are "angry" but very effective heels other wise.
