Hurry up, and dump Melissa. I wouldn't be shocked if it's Ayla.

Oh, fuck. More Paris.

More real then anything WP has ever said.

If they insist on the Cyber name, since they already pilfered a WCW title, they should have just done ahead and used CyberSlam instead. However, I'm guessing they didn't want another "Slam" event.

You know, I am on spring break next week. I hadn't planned anything, but a short drive (4 hours) to Detroit wouldn't be too bad. I know people in northern Ohio anyways, that i had been meaning to see again. $20 for tickets, roughly $50 in gas and maybe $35 in food...not an expensive weekend. I would rather go to Detroit/Chicago for night one of the ROH WM tripleshot weekend but I'll be in class and work that weekend.

I can't afford to buy them. You can obtain GBHIV (Gibson/Dragon) for $10 bucks (tape). It's a double tape. However, M.E.R isn't on VHS anymore, but it's $20 on DVD right now, but keep you eye open because ROH usually has a bi-monthly $10 DVD sale for select DVD's and you can probably get M.E.R for $10 bucks. Ebay and other tape trade sites probably have them avaiable for the same price or maybe cheaper. The point? At most, there's no excuse to not drop $10 bucks down for Gibson/Dragon. However, GBHIV is a one match show. You should also be look for the Roderick Strong/Danielson matches as well, Strong/Danielson II was even better then Gibson/Danielson. Good news about that? Strong/Dragon, I have seen on Youtube. Still too expensive for me though. $10 turns into more with the exchange and on top of that you got the money order which is a few bucks plus a stamp ($1) so it's almost $20 for me. I've had to cut down on my tape buying - I've discovered women. That and I have no money! Lay off the strip clubs. It's really not getting you anywhere. Just buy those tapes. At least Gibson/Danielson's work is real, the stripper's act isn't.

You can get Gibson/Danielson and Danielson/Joe at ROHwrestling.com.

from 35-7 to 48-38. I dont think 'Ville has enough in the tank right now but even to get 10 pts near Pitt was impressive enough. edit: wow. I still don't think they will pull it off but come 3 pts away...is remarkable.

Angle's matches are more dramatic and his charactor of a kickbutt machine is better than Samoa Joe's. He's also better at exhibiting passion. I'm not a big fan of generalising though. I like to look at matches more individually. If, dramatic means "shitty acting", then yes Angle beats Joe at that. Joe's most dramatic matches would probably be his final two installments against Punk and his M.E.R showdown with Danielson. Both were excellent cases of dramatic design. Angle believes by screaming and pulling down the straps creates a sense of a more dramatic match-up. It doesn't. Angle vs Michaels vs Mania was 30 times more dramatic than Joe vs Punk II which I did not feel one ounce of drama from. I was pumping my fists up in the air and verbally expressing my feelings at Mania. With Joe vs Punk I couldn't wait for it to be over because it bored me to tears and I am someone who can and has watched matches that were so bad they would make everyone here run away in terror. Now I know the goals in each match weren't the same so it's not a fair comparison or anything but still it speaks volumes. Angle's not perfect by any stretch of the imagination but man he can have great matches that pull you onto the edge of your seat. Joe vs Dragon I don't know about but I'd like to see it. That's because you are a complete mark for Angle. You are willing to fall for the belief that that spank-off was dramatic. You know why it was for you? They did the right spots but there was no story. Yet, you incorporated the spots to indicate that there was some resemblence to an actual story. I knew you would try to make the argument that WM21 was better then JvP II or III. No one ever said anything about JvP I, which no claims it to be a perfect match. Joe/Danielson, is accessible. You'll probably enjoy but you'll rather keep with the pretense that Angle > Joe. You'll try to make an arguement that Benoit/Angle RR03 was better, even if it wasn't. Angle doesn't have those great matches that keeps you on the edge of your seat. That's your fan-dom coming into play and that's his purpose but to use his ability to mainipulate contrived spots into convincing you that he is better the Samoa Joe, who completely shuts Angle down in every department inside that ring. Angle is a great performer but he isn't at Joe's level as a worker.

A classic example of heels getting over because of excellent booking and imaged to be effective winners is The original NWO trio. They were depised at the start but when they continued to walk over the rest of the company in more ways then one, fans wanted to cheer for them. Fans flock to a a guy who gets the job done. It's no different from any other sport or entertainment based industry. If you do you're job right (in the eyes of the fans, means winning), you'll get respect in return. There's only a few occasions where a babyface can lose constantly and still be super-over. (Dreamer, for instance).

Chris, bombed that one. The little is impossible to take seriously, Bucky isn't an "Idol'... A couple weeks ago, we thought the men were going to handle the girls but the girls are stepping up while the guys aren't getting the job done.

Not to "defend" another ROH name, but not getting Colt Cabana's appeal is pretty strange. If anything, his appeal in the independents is probably the most straight-foward. At worse, he is a glorified but brilliant comedy worker who is excellent with skits and promos. That is not arguable and it's basically the thing that got him the attention at first. In 2005, he stepped up from being a reliable comedy act/tag team specialist who was an excellent brawler, into a pure and scientific performer. Incorporating an european style into his design, made him a more complete and effective worker. The last few months, in ROH he has completely stripped himself of his usual zany antics and personality and has become a very effective serious face. Alot of people, wanted to claim that Cabana was strictly a comedy act but he has proven that he can work inside the work and shed that comedic persona.

'Cuse needed that game so bad. McNamera had to do it for himself there. I hope they can pull off another upset win in the tournament because Gerry shouldn't end his career in some lowly NIT game. I doubt he wants to play another game at home, after the emotional senior day. If 'Cuse pulls off another upset, they may squeak in there (although, it might not be enough). 9 teams in all for the Big East would be insane.

The ECW title, was never unified with the WWE title. The ECW title died the night ECW shut down in 2001, Rhyno is still the last champion and probably will be. (Although, claims to not posses the ecw title)

Beast...You do know that continuous consumption of KFC...isn't quite good for you? As for me? Turkey, lettuce and cheese sandwich with water and clam chowder soup.

Hardy would be great to bump around in that match, but after the last few months of how he's been booked, it'd be hard to buy him in a #1 contendor's match. No, it wouldn't be easy to take him seriously. However, it isn't that hard to give him a slight push. Focus on his familiarity with ladder matches (while Shelton and RVD have had a couple ladder matches to their credit, Matt is more asscociated with Ladders, then those two). Since they love to shoot so much these days, address that a year ago, Matt was scheduled to be in the MitB match but he got screwed out of it. It gives him character and reasoning, beyond just being semi-over guy who can bump. You already have two stars who the crowd will go bonkers over (RVD and Flair), give Matt Hardy an reason to be in it. Finlay and Lashley, really don't fit into the match at this point. It's a heated feud and it shouldn't be dealt with in a gimmick match where their issue takes a back-seat. Booker T could easily take another spot because he could bring the comedy that can take the edge off the awkward transitions between spots. Besides, Booker T is a slightly more credible threat then Finlay is at this point (in terms of status). Since Booker probably wouldn't take too many bumps and could actually just commentate during his own match, setting up the obvious comedy spot where he gets beat down by the other five men involved. It also allows them to do something with Boogeyman, who could do something spooky to cost Booker the match. I'm not sure who would round out the match for Smackdown, since JBL/Benoit are booked...and I can't see Boogeyman involved in a ladder match. You could slide in a Mexi-Cool or 1/2 the Kendrick/London team but those 4 guys are less credible then Matt Hardy. Which says alot.

A casket match @ WM? wow. You know, Henry/Taker could have been a decent, even good short brawl type match that suits Undertaker's skills. Making it a casket match, forces a negative formula. I guess, with Henry's contract running out very soon (and I haven't heard anything about an re-signing), they wanted have a metaphorical conclusion to the worse talent investment in it's history. BTW, Angle shouldn't be lifting Henry up off the top rope, much less taking big table bumps. Lashley/Finlay continues to look good. I hope Animal/Hardy is just next week as a MitB qualifyer to get Matt into the match (extra bumpers never hurt). Lashley/Finlay should be a one-on-one match @ Mania. MnM Vs Kendrick-London, should be used at Mania, but i'm thinking they'll forget about MnM. If anything, stick MnM into the MITB match. (It's not like SD has any credible mid-carders anyways, might as well push the "team" part of MnM against the other 4 guys)
-
In WCW, he was a heel for about 2 months but aside from his character(part of the F.A) and his image(meaning camo pants and devil horns)...he didn't really change to much.
-
It should have just been Hardy and MnM (since they dont appear to be using them in a tag match). Do Lashley/Finlay one on one.

Katherine, hands down is still the hottest (which isn't even disputable) and she still backs it up with her performence and talent.
