Man, I can't look at Joaquin and NOT think that it's Johnny Cash. I don't get that sentiment with Foxx as Charles. and people, Joaquin always looks pissed.
-
The right guy won and it looks like Joaquin is holding a profanity laced outburst.
-
Stewart, has made this show. I loved the 36 Mafia line with Marty.
-
I can kind of get why she'd be ticked...since she was in a nominated film this year... But he should be thrilled. Why else do you think, the academy put them together as presenters?
-
Why do they insist on these things?
-
Joaquin Phoenix, always looks like he wants to punch Jon Stewart.
-
This, is the part of the show that no one really cares about.
-
Stewart, is pretty good here. Very cute stuff with the westerns=gay thing.
-
That was a pretty good opening introduction.
-
WTL, was good and more uplifting then Ray was. Musically, it was pretty good as Joaquin actually performed when Foxx, didn't. It's a good story, good musical performence and good acting from the two stars.

I hope Giamatti doesn't get the "we screwed up, here take this", before Carrey does. Carrey got screwed harder.
-
She needs to leave her husband, now. I'm watching the RC show on E! and I think Paul Giamatti rented his tux at the Salvation Army.

I'm not arguing that Huffman should win, she shouldn't. I was just saying, I wouldn't shocked if Huffman won because she has that one quality the voters like. I'm waiting for a retarded transgender who gained 50 lbs for the role to arrive.
-
Are you serious? Where everyone is equal, there's no strong name. I just worded it wrong. The only way Huffman wins, if voters go with the somewhat standard routine of giving the award for actors/actress's who change themselves for the movie. Problem is? They got a beautiful, popular hollywood starlet who actually had a good if not great performence in the way. They'll take the beautiful blonde over the TV star who changed her make up. Also, just wondering if Michelle Williams somehow won the BSA award...would she be only the second actress from a teen soap show (Dawson's Creek) to win an Oscar? (Swank, had a stint with 90210).
-
Only one will win it, if any. I'll say Witherspoon has the better chance. Joaquin, probably suffers from a lack of hype and the fact that Foxx, won last year (tortured singer protrayal)
-
Hollywood likes good looking actresses who has a good dramatic performence. Just look at most of the last 10 winners. I would say Witherspoon, is the winner. However, playing a transgender hasn't hurt oscar hopefuls either, so Huffman has a shot. I have a feeling, the voters will like the liberal message of CRASH, enough to put it over B.M. Joaquin could win Best Actor, since the field isn't that strong...but I have a feeling Hoffman has one of those "well...okay" wins but Howard could win just so Hollywood can say "HEY LOOK! BLACK PEOPLE CAN WIN AGAIN! AND IT'S NOT THAT BIG OF A DEAL EITHER!". (and Black America, will complain about it somehow) The realistic prediction is that Jon Stewart makes a joke that offends the liberals and that becomes the story. Academy will give up trying to get edgy popular hosts and call Billy Crystal or Steve Martin to do the next 15 shows.

I'm kind of in the same situation, I spent a year with no real direction and I got by in my classes fairly well. I haven't declared an major just yet, because I wanted to sample something from all angles (business, english, psychology etc, etc). Now, it's been a full year and I am in the same spot i was a year ago... clueless about where I want to go. Essentially, I wasted alot of money on an 'education' that I got already in HS. I took a year off after high school, to work and get a 'feel for the real world", which was just a BS excuse to not say "I have no clue if I want to go to college". College, hasn't proven itself to be worth the trouble. I'm already behind where I'm supposed to be as a student, already collecting a debt that'll take years to wipe away and to make matters worse, I'm not actually doing anything with it. Everyone that I ask, all tell me to do something different. Some say I am a good story-teller and that I should pursue a future with that. Others say, I am a good organizer and do something with office management. A few tell me that I am good at giving advice (Which I don't believe) and that I should be a counsler. Problem is? I dont want any of those things, I know it's cliche to "not know what you want" at this stage but it's agonizing because you feel like, if you don't make a move now...you'll never get anything out of this life. A part of me, already is willing to accept that I won't be anything meaningful. I will work a 9-5 office job, settle for some girl and grind out a couple kids. Load up a mountain of debt, make ends meet and live an standard average life. Put my kids into college, drawing more debt, they'll give me a couple grandkids for me to play with in my older years and I'll finally retire from that shitty job, with nothing more then a crummy "retirement party" and a handshake from whatever hotshot kid is running the company. Then, I'll die.

Ya know, Kurt Angle really lucked out. If Batista never got injured, he was likely going to do a WM program with Hogan. Although, I have a theory that if Batista had been healthy, Angle would have worked Undertaker in a SD/RAW match instead. Batista/Orton and Mysterio/Benoit (Eddie Memorial) would have rounded things out, with Cena/HHH staying intact. I called Foley/Edge long before Edge had his cup of coffee with the title, so i think that was always in the plans if Hogan/Foley didn't work out (which was discussed but never went anywhere)
-
How exactly do they plan on doing TBS/Hogan? Since HHH doesn't appear to want to play heel with Cena, they should have just done Cena/Hogan Vs TBS/Kane for the titles and HHH/Edge for the title, instead.
-
I always find it weird if I have someone from the high school days turn out to be the gas station attendent. You kind of nod your head at the guy but you are really thinking "well, that loser sure bottomed out already"... it makes you feel better for a bit of time. I agree about the awkwardness of unwanted forced convo with those people you barely knew in HS.
-
They should bring Tatanka over to Raw, for a WMIX rematch with Michaels.
-
Glad to see those "angry" guys in the back are doing something about Vicki's situation...

I have a feeling, this year two #1's are out of the tournament after the first weekend.

Goldberg is a much bigger name then Sting was. Jericho is an equal to Sting, Jericho was an over star at WWE's peak (Summer 2000) that the fans were begging for. He still remained ungodly over despite how stale and buried he became. He has obtained modest c level star credibility in the mainstream. Lesnar does fit the bill for a bigger name then Sting, alone with the face value of his name, his status with the american wrestling fanbase and the significance that Brock Lesnar would bring to TNA.
