Stacy Keibler on Dancing With the Stars Finals Tonight
Hawk 34 replied to Fro's topic in The WWE Folder
She did say she was getting other offers. I doubt she had any plans to stick around anyways. When people say they are getting other offers, they really aren't. They just want others to think they are, so they will give them offers. Kinda like when people call WWE up and say TNA offered them something...when TNA never did. -
Considering Cary works the front, I doubt he would let RF enter the premises and I'm sure the fans would've made him unwelcome. Either just a prank call or someone mislead.

I can't figure out who fell harder, Tammy(top dive to THAT) or Billy Gunn (WWE's biggest hard-on to working in a promotion that uses Tammy).

A title has to be defended around the world to be considered a legitimate world title? Would that include Ring of Honor? They aren't a territory, the title has been defended around the around and against other talents from other promotions as well. If a promotion is reported in another country and has tv deals in canada and has it's matches aired in Japan, it should count as a legitimate WORLD TITLE.

Not sure about the white trash thing but I think many felt Sunny was so hot because she was similar to a hot girl at the bar or a hot neighbor. Not a fake (although I'm sure she had implants) unattainable fantasy hotness like a Candice Michelle or other Divas that look like they came straight from Hef's mansion. It was a more ordinary girl hotness so I get where you are coming from. And Vince isn't obligated to do anything. But he does have a history of reaching out to former employees with troubles or hardships, he's helped people like Ric Flair, Jake Roberts, Jimmy Snuka and brought in Tony Atlas as Saba Simba after hearing word that they had addiction or money problems. Sunny was a big reason for WWF's turn around in the ratings war. She was their most popular figure for a few months even, especially when it comes to net fans. She's pretty much responsible for the whole 'diva' thing that has made Vince so much money (although some would say Sable since she was on top of their most successful run). Yeah, that really did Tony favors.

MVC is replacing MAC as the NCAA mid-major darling. That being said, I think they will cap it @ 4. There is always a couple mid-major snubs and this year won't be different.

Lex Luger's been in the business for a long time. I wouldn't want him in a creative role. Yeah, I get your point but I think Tammy genuinely loves (or at least loved) the business and had a mind for it. Jim Cornette always spoke of her having input in a lot of her Smokey Mountain angles. I'm not saying she'd be an instantaneous creative genius or anything but you know, why not a chance? Then let her work with Heyman but just because she's a washed up drug addict who helped run a wrestling promotion 12 years ago doesn't mean she is deserving of a job of value. She has a reputation for being a drug addicted floozy for a reason...

I was making sure the topic starter could follow.

Danielson is likely looking at a full year reign (Glory By Honor), Gabe loves to elevate new talent and he'll have tons of people to put the title on after Danielson puts the title over someone else. It'd be awhile before the title would shuffle back to Danielson. The only reason I can see AM. Dragon getting a 2nd reign is because he won't be in WWE or TNA, anytime soon and that eventually, Gabe will find a 2nd reign for his promotion neccesary, but that won't be for awhile.

Some one needs to explain this Tyler Perry stuff. Isn't this the second movie have good #1 opening? I never see commericals or anything for these things and yet, it has a market somewhere.

I'm glad I only spent $5.99 on this dvd. Alot of it just doesn't hold up anymore.

She wasn't too bad in her brief WCW stint in 99/00, but yeah, she was really something great @ her peak.

It was used for an angle, not so long ago that each, Aries and Joe were charging to be the first triple crown champion. Joe failed to get the tag titles and Aries failed to get the pure title. With Aries as tag champion, that makes Joe's chase for the triple crown more interesting. That storyline was put on the shelf but you can imagine ROH hasn't forgotten about it.

Final Battle. They do it similar to Starrcade, last show of the year is the big event. ROH has 4 *biggie* annual shows Anniversary Show Death Before Dishonor Glory By Honor Final Battle Every two years, they do All-Star Extravaganza. Which is usually a loaded card with major significance. however, this year alot is being put into the 100th show(4/22) and the WM tripleshot weekend in Detroit and Chicago with Dragon Gate being a major attraction along with the Lance Storm/Danielson match.
-
Danielson/Joe is hardly the big "money match", the money match is Strong/Danielson III, As far as ROH specific talent is concerned. The real question is, who gets the first Triple Crown of ROH. A very select group of talent have two titles, so the options are limited for who can get 3 titles first. Samoa Joe (World and Pure, needs tag titles) Austin Aries (World and Tag, needs pure title) AJ Styles (Tag and Pure, needs world title)* CM Punk(Tag and World, needs pure title) *ROH doesn't count AJ's brief pure championship reign anymore.

I'm pretty sure that was after WCW broke away from NWA. It was WCW title.

Gabe can't book good angles? Are you really that dumb? First of all, you don't BOOK angles, you write angles. Second, Gabe has WRITTEN some really good angles, case in point...CM Punk Vs ROH. The best storyline of 2005. Homicide Vs Colt Cabana, right now has been excellent. The Gen Next Vs Embassy was a year long storyline that was well done with a great blow-off. CM Punk Vs Jimmy Rave, was very well done. I'm not even doing to bother mentioning that you butchered the english language. Will ROH have a two time world champion any time soon? Probably not, Bryan Danielson has a good stretch of time to go with carrying that title and Gabe is always about elevating new people in the main event. There is no need to put the title Samoa Joe, Xavier has no intention of working full-time and this isn't 2002, where ROH depended on booking "indy dream matches" to sell. ROH is a complete package now built with good wrestling and good storyline progression, the champion is important now. Does Austin Aries have a chance at getting a second reign? If any, he has the best chance and that is only because he is a dependable guy that TNA isn't going to push to the moon. Obviously, we know Austin Aries has devout loyalty to ROH.

I want to punch James Blunt right in the fucking face
Hawk 34 replied to UZI Suicide's topic in Music
There's nothing wrong with Justin Timberlake. As for James Blunt, he will die a horrible and embarassing death very soon. -
Not to be technical, but the kid isn't your nephew. He is just your second cousin.

Exactly, it's an perfect excuse to go to Chicago, during WM weekend. 2 ROH shows with major matches and international presence as well as Lance Storm's return to the ring. Also, 4 Hour drive? That's nothing. You don't even need a hotel room with that distance. I hit the Dayton/Cleveland double-header in January and spent a grand total of $125 bucks (Tickets for each show, gas, dinner). I drove from Dayton to Cleveland saturday morning, and from Cleveland to Dayton saturday night and got home @ 3:30 am. 4 hours each way is a short drive and you only spend alot of money, if you spend alot of money.

Wow. I actually got one right. Can't say it's a big victory, considering it was probably the most repeated prediction. He was 2006's POPE.

You'd be surprised at how diverse Nascar's fanbase really is. In fact, Nascar's largest fanbase is not "southern" white males but actually 18-34 females. However, this is still Virginia and your comment is probably accurate. This is good for TNA, to attach themselfs to other tours and promotional machines. Thanks for that tidbit thats interesting 18 to 34 females thats wierd. But back to the wrestling the south is bring on old school wrestling so it would be smart to put sting in the main event both night but agianst differnt people. thats one thing tna has to make a point about doing don't book the same card on both nights. Not really weird, considering how the drivers basically make up for 18-30 year old drivers that are the faces behind the promotion and NASCAR is an excellent promotional machine. In fact, TNA should met with NASCAR and discuss marketing and promotional tactics. As for the "southern" fanbase+wrestling thing is concerned, I know Norfolk/Richmond has a decent wrestling history but I'm so sure that Martinsville was ever a wrestling hotbed. Martinsville is all about NASCAR(especially during race week), and it'll require good promotion and word of mouth. Good news is that there is a large crowd coming into town for that weekend. If they have the #'s they have done for Detroit, they could realistically obtain that same crowd and maybe get a few tourists interested in attending the TNA event.

Calm down. He can have a good match, it's been proven, that amazingly enough, once upon a time he could be dragged to a good match. Meanwhile, while Nash is doing international shows and picking up a pretty penny from money mark promotions, he is also doing hollywood work as well. Nash wants to do something but TNA isn't open to it yet. Nash, has put over young talent before, believe it or not. If he was willing to revive his coach Nash character, I'd be up for it.

Wrestlers better then Finlay right now
Hawk 34 replied to Lord of The Curry's topic in The WWE Folder
The best I can tell the only announcer who brings up past titles and histories of wrestlers is... Booker T. Josh Mathews does as well...sometimes. He does like to name drop other promotions as well.
