    I am sick of blading...

Last night D-Von bladed for seemingly no reason. His blood made no difference on the match quality. I have seen a few really good blade jobs on the indy scene but you are right that aside from the garbage promotions, blood is less commonplace. Usually because some indy promotions try to cater to actual family crowds for the most part, whereas blood would be frowned upon.

And of course it had to get worse

What scares me is, I don't even think Angle/Orton will even manage to be decent. One can't work unless they insert massive shortcuts and the other is near paralyzed. It's bad enough we will suffer through this completely idiotic booking but we will have to endure what could be the worst main event match in WM history. Yes, worse then Sid/Taker.

What type of wrestling fans annoy you?

This doesn't apply for TNA only, it's a part of pretty much every single indy promotion as well. I thought duel chants were nifty when it first went around and it was based off 2 mega-faces going at it, it made sense for a split crowd to chant for both wrestlers. However when a crowd does a duel chant for a clear heel/face match and it's just a under-card match? that is over-kill. The ten most annoying chants 1. WHAT?! 2. Let's Go A *CLAP* *CLAP* *CLAP* Let's go B, *CLAP* *CLAP* *CLAP* 3. This is AWESOME! 4. WHOOOOOAAAA ABYSS (I still don't get this at all) 5. HOLY SHIT! 6. You Fucked up! 7. You Suck 8. The Goodbye song 9. ECW! ECW! ECW! (When 90% of the time, chanting it is pointless) 10. MATCH OF THE YEAR! MATCH OF THE YEAR! I don't mind "Thank You" chants if it's for a wrestler leaving a promotion or if they put on a special performence. I don't see it as any different as giving a standing ovation.

What type of wrestling fans annoy you?

Despite the fact, I clearly criticized ROH's failure to live up to the hype, stating it's lucky to have such a loyal fanbase to save them. Do I like ROH? Yes. Do I like TNA? Yes. Do I like WWE? Sometimes. All promotions have flaws and strengths, lately ROH's flaws and strengths have been called in question due to a lost of talent and a very disapointing show only because the hype wasn't justified. Unlike many TNA or WWE marks here (and we know who they are), who only believe that promotion can do good and the rest can't, I do know ROH has a flaw and that's Gabe's inability to live up to hype. When Gabe puts the hype in the hands of his talent, ROH will almost always live up to that hype. ROH thrives because of the work inside that ring and as long as they keep satisfying a niche market, they will continue to push through. By continuing to use these hype methods and not living up to it, that fanbase will grow irritated. Luckily for ROH, they have a really important and crucial stretch of shows to recover from that disapointing show. - On Topic What kind of fans "annoy" me? Simple, "fans" whose purpose is only to put themselfs over. This has been a staple of any wrestling promotion. WWE with the influx of idiotic signs, TNA with it's atrocious chants ("This is Awesome" etc) and ROH/All indies with fans using smarky terms to evaluate the match as it's happening.

    Ring of Honor 2.11.06

People aren't saying that the show was bad, they are saying that the "surprise" was terrible. C.M. Punk and Xavier hardly warrant the type of hype they were getting prior to the event. Ring of Honor likely lost alot of trust in the fans after this event and they better hope the upcoming stretch of shows is off-the-charts. ROH fans are resilient. They are admiting to be soundly disapointed by the failure of the surprise but will turn around and praise Gabe for "saving" the show due to the circumstances. Ignoring the fact, regardless if Shelley, 'Cide and Lethal were there, Gabe still failed to deliver on the surprise. A good core of the fans will refuse the fact Gabe isn't always perfect, it's the same mentality the mutants had for ECW in regards to Heyman. Luckily for the ROH fans, they don't have to worry about Gabe following Heyman's business sense. I don't believe ROH has lost the trust of it's fanbase because the live reactions indicate they still enjoyed the show and that the matches still delivered. It should be noted, you can rarely take live reactions as gospel. It's almost impossible to have a bad time at a wrestling show unless it is flat-out horrible. However judging from the fan response, Maria's presence alone was worth the snowstorm and disapointing surprises.

Wait a second, The #1 contenders for the World Title (Rey and Orton) are a combined 4-8?

TNA does appear to be high on Lethal and they do have a back-story (as long as TNA is willing to reference ROH, which they have done before). I would save Joe's first pinfall lost to occur at Bound for Glory in October. Yes, that's right. I believe they can stretch this reign out that much longer. Now I know Joe has seemingly blown through the entire division and in a way, he has. Would I have Lethal dethrone Joe? I don't know. If Aries wasn't jobbing out right now or being a comedy act, I would take Aries instead. All I ask is that it's not AJ, Williams or Daniels. I want to see a new piece of X puzzle figure out Joe and tame him.
  9. Is road hunting illegal in Texas? It is in Nebraska. Like the law applies to Dick Chaney.
  10. I think with the age of TIVO and DVR (and even back in the days of the VCR) it's pointless to order the replay if you saw it live. Have I ordered a replay but not live? Yes, on a couple occasions where I couldn't get the live viewing, I would skip Raw or Nitro the next night and order the replay. Have I ever skipped a PPV, saw raw and thought "I should order the replay"? Never.

While I am glad that Cage went over almost completely clean and I am skeptical about how long this reign will last... I never want to see Jarrett/Christian again. Aside from the final minute of that match, it was horrid.

"Clean"= Tons of Gail Kim interference and ref bumps galore but bottom line? Christian pinned Jarrett clean on his own.

Tonight's show delivered. An excellent X Title three way match, a main event that finally delivered with a near-clean finish that finally put the title on Cage, a good undercard and only 1-2 throwaway matches.

This is such a heatless dead match. Instead of using the usual Jarrett shortcuts with brawls and mass interference, they thought it was smart to book these two in a straight match.

I still think Larry Z finally turns heel tonight and aligns with Jarrett, knowing he can't beat Jarrett at his games. Raven shows up, DDT's Jarrett and "steals" the title. Christian? well, yeah.

Hey, Christian. When Monty Brown and Bubba Dudley cut a better promo then you, might want to just stick to the comedy promos.

Aside from the tag matches(3D/Canada and AMW/Dutt-Sabin), this has been a very solid show.

Either they do NWA Title Vs X Title match ala Warrior/Hogan or they continue to steal from ROH and build to Aries beating Joe. Although, I think TNA would put Shelley in that role instead.

What I liked was that Daniels and Styles tried to work together the entire match but Joe just shruged it off and killed them both. Joe completely dominated the match.
