    ROH guarantees something HUGE

Staying with the context of the current landscape in ROH, considering ROH is @ WAR with CZW, why would Gabe hype an CZW invasion? CZW has been invading for the past 2 shows, they already have a 3/11 show that will heavily involve CZW/ROH antics. It's too early in the "invasion" to start having matches. CZW is also having a show that night anyways that isn't near LI. Gabe wouldn't hype a show of this magitude knowing he was going to have CZW invade. That would tremendously piss off his loyal fanbase who would feel like they got treated as if they were WWE fans.

    ROH guarantees something HUGE

For the ROH fanbase, him coming to ROH to work with his protege qualifies as huge. Judging from the sentiments from the board, they welcome Regal to be the huge name just as much as Paul London and James Gibson, if not more. Gabe knows his fanbase, Regal wouldn't be a disapointment for ROH fans.

    ROH guarantees something HUGE

Regal is calling it a career very soon and he has said many times he would like to work his protege Bryan Danielson once again and other roh talents that he put over including Samoa Joe and I believe, Roderick Strong. It's the best opportunity to do it. ROH doesn't promote Regal's appearence directly, Regal, who is tight with Hunter and Vince, asks for this opportunity, so knowing Regal is calling it a career anyways, it doesn't hurt to let him have this match. I predicted, with a detail reasoning/fantasy booking on the rohboard of how Danielson and Regal team against Gen Next.

    ROH guarantees something HUGE

I am not bob, but I posted a long thing about this on the rohboards about William Regal appearing. I say anyone from WWE is a long shot but if anyone from WWE comes over, I like the idea of Regal being that guy. Does that mean I believe it's Regal? No. I really don't want to speculate. ROH delivers on its promises, I am willing to wait and see about this and be surprised.

    ROH guarantees something HUGE

If Gabe contacted WWE and asked if they could borrow London for one show, which alone requires alot of strings to be pulled, the chances that WWE allows one of its workers, even a velocity regular, to job to a TNA talent is slim to fucking zero. Would they let Danielson go over London? Perhaps, a unlikely situation but more likely then London over Strong.

    ROH guarantees something HUGE

Getting anyone under WWE contract to work a match would require major string pulling, considering ROH and WWE don't have a deep working relationship like Heyman and Vince had together. Regal/Danielson (Finding a way to move Shelley, who faces Dragon, wouldn't be difficult) would have the ROH fanbase buzzing. Gabe was addressing the fans, the fans would be freaking out if Regal, Gibson or London appeared in LI this saturday night to work for ROH.

Dragon is booked against Alex Shelley and besides Benoit is doing promotional work for WWE this saturday. William Regal, Gibson and London are the most realistic options for ROH, in getting WWE talent.

    ROH guarantees something HUGE

The newswire is directed towards the fans of the promotion. "Everyone"=The fans. Guess what, not only that but ROH is a international product as well. It's well represented in Japan and Europe as well.

    ROH Dying????

I don't know where you are from but they have more markets then NY. Ohio, Detroit, Chicago, Minnesota, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Conn for instance, and more to be added this year. I don't know why you don't order online but ROHWRESTLING.COM has fantastic delivery speeds and fantastic fan friendly sales.

Easy. The first three matches will convince you to stay, regardless of who/what the mystery is. It wasn't said that this deal will be a main event, it could easily occur in the early part of the show. ROH doesn't need to do this, the ticket refund part. It's just Gabe adding extra emphasis to show how big this will be, that he will do this. If you purchased a ticket odds are it wasn't solely for Low Ki's match. However, if it was, but you want to know what the announcement is, the only way for you not to get baited into staying is for Gabe to do the reveal before the refund offer expires. If he does it before then, fair play. If he waits until afterwards that's kind of sleazy. Sleazy, would be saying "fuck it" and not doing something to make up for the lost of Low Ki. (which he didn't HAVE to do). Giving the fans something *huge*, whatever it might be, is far from sleazy.

Finally, someone who is thinking clear. I guess, I can understand on some level, why legitimate Seattle fans would be feeling that way and to be blind to the reality of the situation but for non-fans to hop on this "fuck Pittsburgh, the ref's screwed the Seahawks" bus, just to to go along with a new trend is pathetic. Clearly, the Seahwaks made alot of mistakes and didnt take advantage of the things that they shouldve. But on the flipside there are many people on here talking as if the refs were perfect and the bad calls simply didnt happen. 14 points on touchy calls combined with bad playcalling/clock management is a combination that no team can beat. Seattle hurt themselves, but to pretend that there were no bad calls in the game is as ridiculous as calling 'fix'. Of course, there was atrocious calls from the referees. No argument but Seattle was still in the game regardless, all night and because of that shitty clock managment and play calling, they didn't get the job done. They can only, honestly, blame themselves.

What happened to Christina Ricci? She was really hot, a few years ago. Now, she is skinny and just not much to look at.

Gabe actually likes his fanbase, unlike the other two American promotions. He doesn't trick his fans. He respects them to much for it. It should be pointed out, that Smackdown doesn't have a show booked on 2/11.

There's small rumblings they could be pulling the trigger and doing a ROH Vs Dragon Gate show that night. I don't think it will be. I'm really looking at Paul London or James Gibson and William Regal at a long shot.

    Super Bowl XL

Damn straight; if you take away the touchdown that the Steelers were handed, and take away the super-liberal application of the Offensive Pass Interference rule, the Seahawks could have easily won that game. The Play Review Ref sees the play of the Steelers player putting the ball into the End Zone, after he's already down, and backs calling it a TD? Some of these refs need to be bitch-slapped, and the rest need to be fired. Did you SEE the way the Seahawks played this game? They had zero sense of control, horrible play-calling, shitty clock management and a coach who seemingly gave up after the Ben TD call. Stop blaming the refs, and realize Seattle lost the game.

    ROH guarantees something HUGE

You know what is nice about Gabe and ROH? You can trust them. They don't have a history of swerving the fans. They promise something big? They will give you something big. Considering ROH could have folded 2/11 up and used it as a throwaway show to set up a series of major cards (4YA, WrestleMania Weekend, ECW Arena/CZW double header/100th Show) but didn't do that, and actually put their cards on the table and make this type of guarantee? That takes balls and it puts Gabe's word on the line.

Besides, Brock is someone you would announce or heavily hint towards. The wording really sounds like it's a WWE contracted worker.

I guess now it's going to be trendy to hate the Steelers? This place turns more times then Lex Luger.

I'm personally shocked by TSM's Seahawk Nation damning the refs every minute It's like high school, people will find a clique to ride with, regardless of principle.
  23. Hawk 34

    Super Bowl XL

I've seen maybe 3-4 people openly cheer for Pittsburgh, the rest are people who just can't find Seattle interesting or realize Seattle played a bad game, regardless of the referee's antics.
  24. Hawk 34

    Super Bowl XL

I'm not a Pittsburgh fan, by any means but blaming the officials is just an excuse to cover up the fact Seattle played like a JV team out there. Ward, rightfully takes the MVP. I'm sure he'll credit Bettis.

    ROH guarantees something HUGE

No, they dont. I really think it's someone they can't legally promote in advance. They couldn't announce KENTA/Marufuji until a specific date, if it's someone from WWE (Punk, London, Spanky, Gibson, Regal, whoever) WWE might only allow them to use him on the basis, they don't promote him in advance. It could be anything, Gabe isn't one to bait his fanbase.
