Heenan would work for Perfect. Or Flair. Flair works better for Steamboat, Anderson and Rhodes before Curt, if only for his long history with those three. His legacy with Hening isn't as known and significant. I believe Heenan's perfect as he brings the comedy that will be needed and there's a credible connection with the two. I'd imagine Curt's father, Larry (if he is still alive, im not sure) would accept the award. The Flair/Steamboat classics didn't happen in the WWE, which means they didn't happen. (Unless of course it's going to sell a few dvd's). So? Flair+Piper didn't happen in WWE either, that didn't stop Flair from inducting Piper last year. Steamboat and Flair are linked together because of the legendary decade lon series against each other.

When did AJ Styles win a major cruiserweight title? I am assuming he's comparing the X title to the CW titles.

The most worthless wrestler on the planet named Mark's last name is Calaway/Calloway/however the hell he actually spells it. If you are going to make inaccurate statements, learn to spell the name correctly first.
-
What, what the hell is this? Why are they doing this? You have Orlando finally do something interesting in his career by standing up to Booker T and his hoodrat wife only to turn him gay. GAY?! He just turned face and now you're turning him gay? It's hard enough for a black wrestler to get over, but a GAY black wrestler? Can anyone give me some background on this gimmick change because since no one quoted this tidbit it is obviously old news I missed out on. It's one of those "playing to reality" deals, basically taking the real identity of the wrestler and making it his character.

That's not being a cross-over. That's WWE promoting Cena.
-
Austin, Hogan, Rock, Foley were cross-over stars, John Cena? hasn't remotely crossed over from anything. His self-made album was a critical and financial failure. His movie has no legs, and was pushed back and likely will fail at the box office (as it should). He's not remotely known in the general public. He can barely make waves in the wrestling community, he's popular with young kids and that's about it. That's hardly a cross-over.

Eddie, easily. Ratings were higher during last summer thanks to Eddie. Eddie was a *key* part of WWE's biggest demographic and Eddie's merch sales were just as high. The quality was better. Basically Eddie did everything better then Cena, except handle the pressure.
-
If, and only if Edge beats Cena convincingly and cleanly in about 5-7 minutes. While a lot of eyes did see the RR, I'd guess it's far less than would watch RAW tonight. They gave Cena a strong win yesterday so the only way to erase the damage would be to completely bury him today, so it's not going to happen. Edge will job again and end up lower in the ranks than Carlito & Masters on the heel side, and that's just idiotic. If they want, they can alter the footage to make it look Edge only lost because of Lita and that Cena didn't really beat Edge.
-
Then explain why ratings shot up dramatically since Cena dropped the title, The fans care about Edge. Maybe it was because they were just happy to see something fresh for once but now that Cena is back as champion, you WILL see ratings drop again. That's a sentiment attached right now to Edge, who had been a success so far as champion, waited 10 years for the opportunity, was a very over heel the last couple months only to get it taken away because of Triple H's ego that can't be contained. The reason the "HHH hate" is being ramped up is because that's why the title switch was made because Triple H knows HHH/Edge wouldn't and he has to be in the main event for Mania, which means they had to put the title back on Cena, despite Cena being a failure as champion. Triple H didn't expect Edge to be this successful and instantly knew he had to abort it, even if it hurts the company (which hasn't stopped him before).

Shawn wanted him to be there, and it worked with the context of the whole "boyhood dream" thing for Jose to be ringside for at least WMXII but he really wasn't neccesary beyond that. The fact Jose stayed around for almost a year, wasn't helping Shawn's cool-ness that he supposedly had.
-
About 2 years late...
-
Shawn did this with Jose Lothorio. (I'm surprised they haven't dragged him back out since he left). It's not un-common for a babyface to have a second to get over more.

What annoys me more is when the big guys pick up someone and instead of tossing them over the ropes, they drop them on the ring. TBS did this about 5 times with Triple H alone last night.
-
What made it worst was that the Rumble had zero sense of drama or urgency. Mysterio, basically laid around the entire match. There was no big "OH BOY" spot, except maybe Flair/HHH and HHH/TBS. What was with the crowded ring and everytime some one of significance came out, that person hit/kick/something with everyone and then it stopped when the clock started counting again. Mysterio, was perhaps the worst iron-man ever, which is weird because last year he was great. It had more "star-power" then usual but it still felt like the 1994 rumble. Also, going back to the #1, #2 and #30 as the final three is so done. It was obvious as soon as Orton did his skit. Nothing about this rumble will be talked about in the future, except for being noted as the "mid-card" rumble and the one where the short guy won and got buried a month later.
-
Eddie was #1, Benoit was #2 last year.
-
No, but it's a good way to have the big spotfest match and it gets a gang of mid-carders booked in one fell swoop and it doesn't require much effort in build.
-
For your MITB I think you could insert Boogeyman...Boogeyman beat JBL for one, plus he wouldn't have to do much so you can hide his weaknesses with several others in the ring with him. Granted Boogeyman isn't someone that deserves a chance at a World title match but neither does Jordan, Chavo, or Hardy for that matter. I put Hardy and Chavo in there because they can bump like crazy but i realized I forgot Carlito, so I took Chavo out and put Carlito in. Jordan because I couldn't think of any other Smackdown mid-carders to put in. I'd save Boogeyman for a backstage skit where he can serve the same purpose. I would imagine, in reality they slide Benoit in the MITB match.

Vince panicked that Cena wasn't getting over, Triple H panicked that Edge was getting over.

I'd imagine Curt's father, Larry (if he is still alive, im not sure) would accept the award. Or if Larry would accept the award and you need a WWE HOF link...Harley Race, Larry's former tag partner, can do the induction. Well, the spotlight should be on Curt, so Harley doesn't really properly fit the bill as he doesn't have a notable connection with Curt, besides being his father's former tag partner. Heenan still works better as he has the connection and brings the comedy.
-
Yes, he is back with the company and I would imagine he was a part of the scripting.

Easy, you can easily turn John Cena and right now it's their only hope in hell. Who is a big enough face right now to place him in that spot? *hint, it's not RVD*. Who really wants to see McMahon Vs Shawn, besides McMahon and Shawn. I hate to say it but the only face on Raw who is actually over as a face and is a credible main event, is Shawn. Cena and McMahon were buddy-buddy a few weeks ago, go ahead and pull the trigger on the Cena heel turn because the face run is over now. Is Shawn/Cena going to work as a WM level main event? No but WWE went and screwed it all up. Orton/Angle is a complete mess, Rey can't win the rumble and lose the title shot. It'll kill the credibility of the rumble, however add a little suspense to the show and make it a four way elimination, Rey/Angle/Orton and either plug in Benoit or Henry. Whoever isn't in the match between Benoit and Henry, gets Undertaker. Undertaker either gets another MONSTER to wipe out at Mania (and it would be the likely final appearence of Mark Henry in WWE) or finally gets that great WM he wants and can go over someone more credible then Henry. Edge really got screwed last night and he should be the champion after his great start which was a ratings success. What's left for him? They aren't going to plug him into the main event now, RVD doesn't make sense at this point. He does deserve some sort of a "big" match to justify ruining his reign, perhaps they talk Hogan into doing a program with Edge? While Hogan wants Angle, Show or Cena, If Hogan gets to go over some young kid who has semi-credibility, he might go for it and since they teamed together in 2002, Hogan may not have a problem working with Edge. So far the card is Cena/Shawn, Edge/Hogan, Rey/Angle/Orton/Benoit or Henry, Undertaker Vs Benoit or Henry. IC Title is on Flair, Flair will work Mania and he might as well keep the title until then, Masters/Flair in a quick squash match for Masters would work. MITB worked for WWE last year, make it both brands this time with Raw-Shelton, Carlito, Kane and RVD and Smackdown with Hardy, Jordan, JBL and some-one else. That'll give you the required spot fest. US Title? Booker T keeps it and gets squashed by Lashley. Tag titles? MnM Vs Mexi-Cools in a 2/3 falls match and I'd take the titles off Kane and TBS or just don't have them defend it. TBS Vs Triple H, TBS is a legitimate name for Triple H and they haven't settled their issue yet, Cena/HHH can't work because Cena isn't over as a face and Trips can't just turn all the sudden. WWE can't have it's "star" buried in the main event of WM. CW title? building off last night, Helms/Noble works. Woman's title? Trish/Mickie in a "final battle" match. So the card is Cena Vs Shawn Rey Vs Angle Vs Orton Vs Benoit or Henry Edge Vs Hogan Undertaker Vs Benoit or Henry Flair Vs Masters MITB: RVD, Shelton, Kane, Carlito, Jordan, Hardy, ? and JBL Booker Vs Lashley MnM Vs Mexi-Cools TBS/Kane Vs 3MW or Kane Vs TBS Noble Vs Helms Trish Vs Mickie Yeah, i'm not liking it either. I'll take this over what will happen

It seems to win a royal rumble, you only have to draw #1-3, or #27-29. Carlito would've been a great #1, with him having a "thats not cool" reaction to the drawing, put him against Chavo at #2, and Mysterio could've had the same effect drawing #7-12. Instead they gave him the iron-man for the sake of being the iron-man. Ironically enough, last year he drew a early number, lasting about 45 minutes and actually came off as a spunky "you can't get me" face with Edge chasing him all night, last night he basically layed down the entire time and hardly even did any skin the cat spots as he did last year. Triple H did those instead, and who isn't surprised Triple H was #1, I even called it awhile back but changed my mind. Also, I kind of like the crowded ring thing but not when it's 15 guys and you can't tell where anyone is. Randy Orton being #30 wasn't neccesary as he could have been happy about drawing #28 instead, and made Goldust's "surprise" return @ 30. Who had the most surprising run in the rumble? Would we agree that it was Tatanka or Jordan? Jordan lasted 16 minutes, while I was expecting a quick elimination for him. Tatanka just really didn't serve a purpose being out there for 15 minutes while some good talent lasted less then 10 minutes.
-
Nitro, Mercury, Jordan lasted longer then I expected and I can't believe Tatanka lasted that long either.
