Thank you, Oklahoma, for playing as horribly as I expected to secure this victory for me.

Wouldn't it be the same if they did did War Games in a HIAC? ROH did a Wargames in a single cage and it rocked. I'm just shocked they haven't done a tag team HIAC match yet. WWE stole Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal, so, no excuse for the lack of Battle Bowl and War Games. -
Just show archive photos and gloss over that.

A throughly enjoyable show tonight. Punk/Chavo had really good stuff as well as a good opening segment where Punk came off as a legitimate top guy to Chavo's whining. Good squashes as well. The tag title stuff has been good for the last month.

The two teams per conference for the BCS Bowls is another stupid rule. Missouri would have given USC a better fight.

I think they could do a Battle Bowl today. WWE has a big enough roster that they could having guys work 3 matches a night(although many on the roster are capable). I wouldn't mind it replacing Cyber Sunday or being used for a SNME type show. -

Well, the original prognosis was 2-3 months and the Rumble would occur right in that time-frame. If he wasn't ready to actually compete, I think they could still do the spot with Matt anyways. Just have MVP eliminate himself to escape and Matt chases after him. It'd build the WM match, get a big pop, Matt does no physical action. -

I agree and they probably should move it to Xmas Day. I'd much rather watch that then NBA basketball and rerun marathons. -

That's what I was going for. I didn't think Matt should appear at all until the Rumble as an absolute surprise but the concussion angle won't hurt it that much but I fear WWE will keep Matt on camera to build the Jeff/Orton deal which wouldn't be necessary. It'd really be a huge reaction if it happened in the middle of the match with MVP being the only guy in the ring. Has it been done before? Absolutely but it almost always gets a big pop and it'd build nicely for WM. -

What was the problem with Carey? It made for a decent comedy moment and got free publicity. D-Lo wasn't going to do anything in the match, anyways. My issue is that surprise appearances are rarely surprises these days. I still think Perfect shouldn't have been hyped before 2002. Also, how does MVP not draw #1 in the Rumble and last awhile until Matt makes his return to a likely huge pop? That's the most obvious and needed booking moment in this upcoming Rumble. -
I think TNA would be a better comparison since that is more likely flooded with the 38-45 and 20-25 market with almost nothing in between. I think a good sign for WWE is that the company as a whole is more balanced.

I'd like to think The Rose Bowl people will learn that tradition for the sake of tradition isn't conducive to a quality game but they won't.
-
Brian Kendrick, the guy who still passes for a teenager is 28, it just baffles me.
-
The Dayton shows on January 25th will be pretty interesting as each company have a show on that night 10 minutes apart.
-
What a pair of games going on right now.
-
Really? Why do you think that? Just a hunch. No less likely then Heidenreich being a mega-star like people were calling 18 months ago.
-
I'll look into about 3-5 years from now and say Davey Richards will be among those rising stars of WWE or Charlie Haas' replacement.

I believe Chono and Muta were told to purposely have a shit match, why? I don't know. -
Maybe it was just the good chemistry and effort by both parts, but I really feel HHH/Flair could be a huge match for WM. Let Orton/Batista take over the WWE title since that is the secondary main event to Edge/UT anyways and Cena's likely to be involved in some manner if WWE gets what they want, so why have HHH get overshadowed there. It's not like Flair losing at WM would really put someone like Kennedy over.
-
Clemson-Auburn has been the best game of the Bowl season so far but that's not a big task.
-
People were all over Heidenreich's nuts back then. 26-5-1!
-
I'm falling apart here. I had a commanding 3-0 lead and it's dropped to 4-3 and it's down to 2 of the three games I was most uncertain about.

Heat counts as televised? Yes, Meltzer probably meant to say wins-losses mean nothing, which is true.
