That is a damn lie. There is nothing bland about Trevor Murdoch. Carlito has been the same routine without a change since 2004 (or whenever the fuck he came in).
-
Jericho would have to get out of his contract first. People were treated worse then Jericho. RVD was a bigger misuse from WWE and you don't really see him slamming WWE left and right. (Hell, he did it more during his tenure then he has since leaving). Like any mainstream place would give a fuck if a wrestler wasn't put in the main event. Shawn-Punk would be a mess. Not only that, I wouldn't want to see the negativity leading up to it. Shawn-JBL really sounds good to me now that I think about it. The promos should be fantastic. The best choices for Punk would be the aforementioned JBL idea, Finlay/Umaga or maybe Mysterio.

I wonder who gets cut first, Haas or Carlito.

I don't know about you guys but I'm really looking forward to that huge Troy-Fla. Atlantic game.

I would welcome the idea of Punk-JBL if JBL was still critical of him. When Punk appeared on Smackdown, JBL was glowing about Punk's ability. It'd take some back-tracking but it wouldn't be impossible to pull off. Punk and Guerrero are comparable given how much they worked with each other and respected each other but you don't get alot of Cena and Punk comparisons but I get where you are coming from. I agree that Orton-HHH wouldn't be the best match and that it doesn't have alot of sizzle but as you said, they tried to set this match up at WM all the way back in 2004.

I think Flair's last match should be a respect match. Everyone will know Flair's done, no sense in having a blood feud close it out. It should be Flair doing a Flair match with a hot crowd and Flair cheating to win or getting outsmarted by whomever the other guy is. Lashley taking out Flair would lead to a Batista-Lashley match and that's more suited for WWE.

How does Mike Awesome's Lava Lamp Lounge not get mentioned?

Remember JBL's promo last year on RAW where he slayed Shawn Michaels verbally? It was during the HBK/Cena WM build. It was a great promo. Plus there's the whole "who's the best to come out of Texas" angle. Austin would obviously referee.
-
Ya know, JBL-Shawn wouldn't be so horrible. No clue how it would set up but it's the only other appealing match for me with Shawn outside of Mysterio. That said, no one really benefits from it. JBL beats Shawn, so what? Shawn has jobbed pretty much every WM. Shawn beats JBL? Wow, Shawn beat a year plus retired announcer.

Matt won't be back until February or Royal Rumble at the earliest. That's just about a month and couple weeks of time between his return and WM. MVP/Matt has been an epic feud and deserves to be blown off at WM and not No Way Out. Batista would be a better choice then HHH since Batista has been put over as Flair's close friend and protege.

He trained at Storm's academy. There's a difference between working in a gym and a live crowd. He should do some dark matches/house shows before his first official ring return.

His odd, limbo like status, along with my own doubts regarding how well they'll be able to get feuds for the likes of Mysterio, Finlay, Lashley, Hardy, etc just makes me think that MitB will make a comeback, overkill or no. Mysterio-Shawn would write itself. Shawn just makes a offhand remark about being the toughest underdog in WWE history (which would be a complete joke, obviously) and Rey throws it back at Shawn. They confront and decide to determine who is the better of the two. It doesn't need to be more complicated then that. It would also allow Shawn to be the heel of the two and he is at his best like that. Lashley might need to turn heel since he'll be behind HHH, Jericho, Hardy, Shawn and Flair as far as crowd reactions are concerned.
-
Doing Jericho-Shawn just puts Jericho right back where he was 4 years ago. Jericho will be an odd case since he won't main event but there's no way in hell he should be stuck doing a match with a Kennedy type or a retread match from 2003. I wouldn't want a 4-Way either with Shawn and Jericho being thrust into the title match.
-
Bringing back MitB is overkill, I believe. It's better suited to be used as an attraction for a smaller PPV. The top half is pretty well set with HHH-Orton WWE title (It's happening, accept it Jericho fans) Edge-Taker World Championship Punk-Umaga/Kennedy ECW Title (whichever mid-level heel that doesn't have a program going into will be handed to Punk just to get them on the card, still holding out on hope for Finlay) Matt-MVP US Title The rest will shuffle with Batista, Jericho, Finlay, Flair, Michaels, Mysterio, Jeff Hardy, Redneck Crew, Woman's title, Lashley, Kane, Khali and maybe JBL. Call me crazy but since I can't see Shawn fitting anywhere else, I want to see Mysterio and Shawn do a "dream" match (the tribute match hardly counts). I'm not sure where Jericho falls here but I don't see him getting the main event. Don't forget that at least two of those names mentioned above will likely be injured/suspended at the time. Batista-Lashley is possible just for Vince's love for hoss matches.

Batista could get the spot with Flair since Batista is Flair's protege and all that.

I'd really hate to see Kelly leave after one great season but Michigan is a such a huge job that I wouldn't hold it against him.

Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released
Hawk 34 replied to Human Fly's topic in The WWE Folder
Correct. That match belongs to Bret/Owen, more then it does Benoit. The only other match I would consider on that level is the Pillman Memorial Match with Regal since that's considered to be the match that saved Regal's career, however, it's not as if that match has a great legacy beyond the fans of Regal and Benoit. Everything else, even WMXX, doesn't hold enough meaning anymore other then to put over as "good-great wrestling matches". I do have to admit that erasing Benoit really hurts a Jericho dvd, should they ever get around to it. MVP still has a long career to go before you can consider beating Benoit to be his career highlight. The same goes for Orton. Orton's career highlight can arguably be connected to the Foley match. -
They did make it a point to openly say "Shawn lost yet again" and insert him with Kennedy and build something there. Given the track record with Kennedy this year, that has to feel like a demotion for Shawn.

Like Eric Bischoff said in his book, when he was sober Scott Hall was a genius when it came to wrestling at all aspects of it. It's ashame what happend to him. He will go down with Jake Roberts and Curt Henning as the best singles wrestlers to never win the world title IMO. Curt held the AWA title.
-
Orton would likely be defending the title at NWO. I wouldn't put it past them to do the Rocky angle with Flair for that show. Flair loses and decides it's a career and leaves at WM as expected earlier this year. That makes no sense whatsover but then again, that goes for most of the shit you say.
-
Bengals-Steelers was seriously the best option for SNF?
-
Luckily, I won't have to worry about Miami/Pittsburgh since I pull another one off.
-
The ECW title was a option for UT last year, why wouldn't it be this time? Assuming UT and Orton are the champions at that point, wouldn't the youngster CM Punk be more ideal for whomever wins?
-
Oh, right. I forgot I had that lead. I still don't trust Tulsa and Tennessee.
