I know it's a fault to dabble with logic in the face of WWE and their practices but the fact they have decided to bring back Elimination Chamber and use that to secure a title shot completely indicates that it'll take greater precedence this time around. It's just more pratical to set up the other world title match where it isn't locked up like Raw and Smackdown are. The options are greater this way. You can still make sure HHH/Edge look strong by not winning the rumble. Especially since HHH is winning EC.

My season comes down to fucking Tulsa and LSU with 4 pts difference? Oh, christ.
-
Listen first. I said the E.C will be built to mean more then The Rumble will simply by WWE's typical mainipulation. HHH winning the EC will be more important. I didn't say it would be Umaga. I said it would be someone of that level.

The E.C will be built to mean more this time around then the Rumble (which has seen it's significance drop over the years), so it won't matter if the winner goes after ECW. It won't be a ECW name winning. It'll be a Raw/Smackdown guy winning and choosing Punk for obvious reasoning. Benjamin is a place hold feud for something like Armageddon but come WM? Expect a name like Umaga instead.

Doesn't this happen every year? McNabb gets hurt and some journeyman QB has a couple good games and suckers another team into signing him? I don't keep track of McNabb's career but it sure seems like that.

Yeah, I thought about that, Edge might win the rumble. Which leads to a EC Match of Hunter, HBK, Jericho, Umaga, Jeff Hardy, and Cade...I mean Kennedy. I think the ECW title might not be defended, they might throw Punk in the MITB. That's pointless. The whole idea of MitB (which should be removed from WM) is for someone to get a shot at the world championship. Punk is already a world champion, regadless of how they might present it. Punk has defended the title on every PPV since winning it. He'll defend/challenge for the title at WM. Edge winning the Rumble would be a utter waste. He doesn't need to secure a automatic title shot for this time around. They should be wanting to kill each other. The Rumble is a easy way to set up a match for ECW since the winner of the Rumble will be presented as a lesser since HHH will win EC.

This is a awsome idea. I'm guessing Taker or Hunter will win the Chamber, vice versa for the Rumble. So what about the 3rd brand? Because I'm gussing the Rumble winner is either going to face the Smackdown or Raw champion and not the ECW champion. So lets say that the Rumble winner will pick the Raw champion this year, so Smackdown gets the elimation chamber match...what happens with the ECW title? Will there be a match schduled for no way out to determine who gets the title shot at Wrestlemania? Oh and by the way, this thread has reached a new low. Edge/Taker and HHH won't need to win the Rumble. Whomever they decide to match Punk with for ECW at WM should win the Rumble or Punk drops the title and wins the Rumble at MSG. UT should be champion going into WM anyways. Edge and UT don't need to have a automatic title match set up. They should be begging to murder each other at WM. Rumble probably won't close the show anyways since I expect some match with UT (likely against Batista to close that for good) to end the show. HHH wins EC since it'll be a bigger deal then the Rumble would be.

'Taker should be carrying the title going into WM. Edge doesn't need to claim a title shot by winning RR or EC. ECW's title match should be decided by the winner of the Rumble since that one is out in the open (and someone from Raw/Smackdown can go after Punk or Punk drops the title and wins the Rumble at MSG). HHH winning the EC makes more sense because they'll likely do the same old story of HHH being denied a title shot and gets screwed during the Rumble by whichever heel happens to be programed with HHH at the time.

Arizona loses when Warner freezes in the end zone and drops the ball, resulting in a td for SF. I really wanted that tie and we would have seen it.

Yep exactly. I think R&B "sensation" Chris Brown has a supporting role in it. I really wonder why The Mist was such a bomb. It got decent reviews. Maybe it had a bad release date? It doesn't seem like anybody rushes out to see horror movies on holiday weekends. That's probably it. It looked like a horrible movie. The premise was really quite silly to expect a buzz. The reviews were good enough but it was promoted horribly.

Austin had no problem doing the job. It wasn't his call.

So one game decides the Heisman? It wouldn't be the first time that a single game won/lost a Heisman for someone.

At least he's close. He could be getting McCarver on him and saying Chris Daniel instead.

Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released

If Benoit were still around, he'd have bigger problems then Vicki mock kissing Edge. -
Batista is the most obvious one.

Put him over the edge? Is there a edge beyond murder? -
Hogan knows damn well that TNA wouldn't capitalize. Hogan's better off with WWE, even if TNA could give him a good contract and more options.

Pong failed to read the rest of what I said. I said he could but wouldn't because why should he.

I almost made the same mistake when I saw Vanderbilt did what Vanderbilt does best (lose) and just before hitting the send button, I remembered what Bored said at the top.

Anyways, WVU is making a definite statement to all those doubters. 66-14 with 7:50 to play against a top 20 program? I just can't wait to see the name value OSU idiots try to argue against WVU.

Good lord, this SEC stuff just gets better and better.

That was during his career where he would benefit. Austin has one match left in him, do you really think he'd give it to someone like Kennedy? When he can make so much more with Hogan?
-
You do realize that Shawn and Finlay had nothing but time to get ready, right? Rock has a career that he'd have to juggle around. If the Rock's career was completely halted, then maybe but you can't honestly see his career reaching a dead end, can you?
-
You could play off their short lived tag team and do a Master Vs Mentor storyline. That's the only potential Hogan match I'd be mildly tempted to see. You know Edge would bust his ass off in that match since he's such a huge mark for The Hulkster. Or, ya know, they could just have Edge be Edge and Hogan is Hogan. The former tag team partner angle would be senseless as the tandom lasted less then a month.
-
People assume The Rock could just walk in and work a match in a instant. It's a foolish notion. It's one thing to tape a cameo in your hotel room and another to work a wrestling match, especially with 3+ year layoff. As for Hogan? Cena-Hogan is probable but Austin-Cena? Not a chance. The only match for Austin is Hogan. Austin could do a huge favor and put a young star like MVP, Kennedy or Punk over in a big way but you know Austin isn't selfless enough. Austin is content with his tri-monthly appearances, stunner on the mid-card heel of choice and beer bath celebration. It keeps him in the picture and satisfies his ego.
