Who will Cinci,(most likely), play in The Orange Bowl?Whoever emerges from the mess that is the ACC. Cincy isn't locked for the Orange Bowl, they could up in the Sugar but that isn't likely. Of course, they still have to beat Syracuse and we've learned that isn't as automatic as assumed.

Poor girl. I've never done a battery of interviews before. I can't imagine going through that.

I'm curious. Who picks out the decor for the bedroom?

Did you know that the driver of the BAM! team is a registered republican?

CCR will be playing in my backyard tomorrow night.

There was an article in some newspaper similar to this about a month ago and it basically included the same songs on this list. Clearly, these are really hated songs. Some of those songs can be fine on their own as a road song but not in a bar.

I say it was that Luger and Tatanka had each turned by the time they had that series.

I don't remember the exact quote, but when he was talking about having two brilliant minds, I was rolling. During Jake/Taker, it was.And of course, SHAWN MICHAELS HAS LEFT THE BUILDING! If someone did that during WM XXIV as a tribute, I'd die of laughter.
I would like to see Santino bring that back. It'd suit him well.

I watched WMVIII during the summer of 1992 all the time, I don't even know how many times I watched Piper/Hart yet I don't think I ever didn't FF the tag title match after my first viewing. This is also one of the very, very, very few VHS tapes I still own. I don't even own a VCR but I kept the live taping of this show because I loved the show and that summer that much.
-
I'll be honest, I start on Wednesday but I do cheat a little. I don't see the purpose/desire to watch Tatanka/Michaels at WMIX again. I'll watch the primary matches for those less appealing shows but some shows will get the full treatment. Last year, I went in reverse (22 to 1) but I'll likely go the traditional route.

Believe it or not, but Kane and Angle had an even better match either before or after WMX8. This remains as the lone WM I've not seen in completion (only the Angle/Kane, Jericho/HHH and Rock/Hogan match) I have it from the Anthology series but I've never felt compelled to do that. I'll be forced to when I start my WM countdown on WM weekend but I'm not looking forward to it, not even on a curiosity level. The whole match-up making for this card was a mess.
Two mid-card titles matches going under 7 minutes while giving what appears to be as shitty as it looks tag match over 15 minutes? They should have just made it B&C Vs Hardys straight up and cut the time in half. You're right, Austin in the midcard was just wrong. I know Nash was supposedly hurt at the time (although he got involved anyways) but they couldn't pair Austin with someone and prop Nash on the apron for a more appealing lead-in to the rightful main event?
Not only was Jericho-HHH the most underwhelming title match in the performence aspect but the build was historically atrocious. How hard was it to book a revenge storyline? The fucking dog and Stephanie was stupid for a mid-card match, much less for a WM main event.

Another thing was that they announced the returns ahead of time. Totally took away from the even bigger pops they could have had.
-
I didn't like it. Outside of the Maven spot and Perfect's return, this had very little value. The in-ring action was lackluster all throughout the night. Winners are never unpredictable with the now notable exception of Cena, so that wasn't the issue.
-
Can't believe you didn't mention Perfect spitting and slapping the gum away when he was hung over the ropes. That was one of the very few memorable moments of that event.

I loved the WWF Marathon house shows where they would tape a months worth of shows for the various syndication broadcasts. You'd see people like Dibiase work 5 matches a night. The downside was that people like Warlord worked 5 matches a night.

That's one of the understated reasons WCW never survived. WCW put all their eggs into the TV basket while WWF knew the importance of the houseshows. From 1995-1999, I probably went to 8 or 10 WWF house shows simply because I knew it would be a fun show where I could get Shawn-Owen in a 25 minute match or a good brawl with Austin and Kane. WCW never had a reputation for good house shows and the PPV's were rarely better then the Nitro that followed it.
-
I was in attendence for that Nitro with a friend and his father. The whole ride home, my friend's father just gave us long glaring looks for making him watch that shitty show. I don't think I went to another WCW show again after that.

I thought he was done reviewing wrestling. Where is he at these days?

Just imagine how great Pillman would have been during the height of the Attitude era.

McCool will end up back with Chuck in a "shocking" swerve. Jamie disapears from SD for a bit and becomes more of a regular on ECW. I can't wait for Kelly to do her next love interest angle and they won't even acknowledge Balls.
-
The SD EC match should be fine once they clear Khali and BDV. Finlay/Batista/Taker are more then competant brawlers and MVP will be a good bumper. However, MVP is likely to be the first guy out. I'm starting to worry they won't do Matt-MVP at WM and if they do, all that momentum they had built up won't be recovered in time.

He is a former MTV star, that shouldn't surprise you that he has some sense of a fanbase. That fanbase doesn't exactly extend to pro wrestling, though.

Benjamin won the IC title off Jericho via the fans voting. The idea was to convince fans the voting meant something since it was the first match of the first PPV. I don't know if they planned a title change regardless of who won the voting but if my memory serves, it was a bunch of junk names like Maven, Lance Cade amongst others and Benjamin who obviously stood out.

What about Flair-HHH? It's win-win. They always bust out a good match, HHH will heel the fuck outta that match because everyone will be on Flair's side, he goes over someone who has nothing to lose. Flair's not really capable of putting someone over like it matters anymore. HHH gets screwed on two occasions, turns heel as he should be.
Do Orton-Batista which has a natural story behind it since Edge-UT is the real main event and it'll close the show anyways. To me, with the addition of Shawn-Rey (the only big match Shawn has left outside of Punk), Punk-Benjamin, Matt-MVP, and even though I'm against the match at this point, a MITB match makes for the best possible and realistic card. I could see HHH going for it. The chance to be the last opponent against Flair at WM in front of 70k people and not worrying about his title match being overshadowed?

That's because there's no chance the Sugar Bowl would pass on a bigger team for Cincinnati unless the doomsday scenario happens and I can't even see them taking Cincinnati in that case.
