WV hasnt played Pittsburgh yet so are you saying the Panthers are the toughest team on their schedule? I was saying that they're better than anyone WVU's played thus far, so when they do play them, it will help their SOS tremendously. I apologize if I worded it awkardly. Anyway, if your still in doubt, look at it this way: West Virginia's currently ranked 4th in the BCS. The team directly above them lost, and one of the other two teams ahead of them will lose as well. Also, WVU has the three toughest games on their schedule all left to play. Do you really think that if WVU wins out , their three toughest games of the year won't be enough to put them ahead of teams that pick up a loss? Of course it will. The only way there's not a Big East team in the title game is if all three undefeateds pick up a loss. I personally would not consider Pittsburgh or Rutgers better than Maryland but I see where you are coming from but your problem is that you are not thinking ahead...the most WV can move up in the polls is only 2 spots...lets say WV beats Pitt...they would then have three losses and be out of the top 40...lets say they beat Louisville and Rutgers..Louisville drops and Rutgers drops...and lets say Louisville beats Rutgers...Rutgers would now have 2 losses and WV would be left with one quality win as Pitt and Rutgers wouldnt even be top 35 at that point...thats why I say it will be very tough for WV to make up that much ground with the computers because even their toughest conference foes still have losses to pick up no matter how you scramble it..the same goes for Louisville ...now Rutgers is 7th in computers before facing WV and Louisville....but jumping 14 spots in the polls this late in the season as well as the before mentioned scheduling issues will make that tough for them to be in the title game

I seriously doubt that OSU-Michigan will be more than a 7 point ballgame....they have combined to give up 20 points once all year and that was Notre Dame when they scored 21
-
Big East gets about as much kudos as they deserve...theres three unbeaten teams but the only nonconference wins of note for any Big East teams were over Miami and Maryland and the toughest team Rutgers have beaten nonconference is Ohio...Louisville,WV and the rest really need to beef up their schedules for the future

because the computers effect of the BCS....I dont think one of the Big East teams could leapfrog the Michigan-OSU loser unless they drop below number three in both polls...a 1 loss SEC champion or Texas has a better chance than the Big East teams Nah, the computers are only 1/3 of the results, and while WVU and Louisville have shitty computer rankings right now, if one of them beats the other one, Rutgers, and Pitt, they'll move up to at least to #3 or #4, and that will be enough to get them in the national championship. beating Louisville,an unranked Pittsburgh and Rutgers who would be unranked after a loss would not boost West Virginia from 14th to the top 5 in the computers.....Louisville is 9th in the computers so if everything falls right and Michigan-OSU is a rout then they have an outside chance....I dont think West Virginia has a chance at all

If it isn't, we'll certainly be told it is. Maybe my beef with the Michigan at #2 argument is that they sorta came out of nowhere and didn't skyrocket up the rankings until the thrashing of Notre Dame, and Notre Dame isn't great. You can make the "they're winning still, even if it's close" point, but I think they'd be embarassed in a BCS bowl. Say, kinda like last year. ahhhh....so USC should be number 2 because you thought USC was in the top 5 before any actual games were played...gotcha....and "Notre Dame isnt that great"....who are the great teams to you then?
-
I think they're still catching up. Northwestern is such a pushover that they only had a 38-3 lead over Michigan State before they inexplicably collapsed. I'll be surprised if the Michigan defense can hold Northwestern to less than 20 points. They just score and score and score. They're not good, no, but it's a bad idea to get into a shootout. Didn't they break 50 once last season? how many teams HAS scored 20 on Michigan this year? that would be one...Notre Dame scored 21
-
hahahahahaha...USC got leapfrogged!
-
shook is slang for scared.....buckeyes should be scared of the michigan defense
-
And the other teams they face before the game in Columbus. Especially in BCS conferences, coaches aren't bullshittin' when they say that they have to stay focused every single week. if you think Michigan will lose to Northwestern,Ball State or Indiana...you have serious problems
-
and im still laughing
-
come on longhorns!
-
and USC would have to hope Arkansas and Nebraska holds up...what has a better chance of happening?
-
CAL is compared easily to Michigan?...the blowout loss at Tennessee must have been stricken from your memory...truth be told...Pac 10 doesnt have another team beside USC that is top 10 caliber much less top 3 caliber and Wisconsin is easily every bit as good as Oregon or Cal and without a question better than UCLA,WSU or any of the other schools

Michigan and Ohio State dont have to worry about playing in a conference with such powers as Arizona,Oregon State or Washington State either so it really evens out Drop Washington State from that argument and add Stanford, Wazzu could end up playing in a bowl game. And to that argument I would counter with Illinois, Minnesota and Northwestern. Michigan has looked impressive, but out of conference wins against Commodores, Chippewas and... whatever Ball State is (the fightin' David Lettermans?) aren't nearly as impressive as what USC did out of conference. I'm not biased towards USC at all, I think Michigan is cool as hell, but if you're trying to cement yourself a place in this shakey BCS system, scheduling Central Michigan is a bad way to do it. By the way, I know Ball State is the Cardinals. the same Minnesota and Northwestern that were bowl teams last year?.....but Lloyd Carr did not need to stack the non conference schedule like other teams have to...the Big 10 is a test as it is while the computers may not see it...the human polls are two thirds of the BCS formula so when everything comes to a head in six weeks...im sure the right teams will be at the top

this is kinda good heel mic work

so...how are those Bears looking? (changes channel)

big east being a major football conference nowadays is in question

there are 2 more at large teams making it 5 BCS games now with the title game being the extra game...before this year, the Fiesta Bowl for example would be the title game...now they are seperate games and the national title game is the week after the rest of the new years day bowl games
-
exactly...if Michigan and Ohio State are both undefeated going into the final game of the season and USC has a loss...theres a decent chance Michigan and OSU could have a rematch in the national title game
-
If they beat OSU, they'll walk to the Nat'l Title game. If not it's irrelevant, but no team besides OSU has played better than Michigan. So it doesn't matter if they're #2 now or not. They're not national title game good. 'sides, there's still a lot of football left. SEC Championship winner versus Ohio State, book it. USC will go down at some point, Auburn's through their worst, Florida isn't a serious contender this year (you'll see), and Louisville won't be able to climb high enough if they beat West Virginia, or the other way around. Texas, Tennessee, and Cal are the dark horses, in that order. If all of the above teams except Ohio State lose (and undefeateds lose more than one), prepare for armageddon as Clemson plays for a national title. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
