Hopefully, but Marinelli already named Kitna as the starter in 07 despite 30 turnovers and a 2-13 record. Any discussion about the worst coach in the NFL should start and end with Rod Marinelli Kitna was a serviceable QB in the past. He isn't the problem and if he was able to mentor Carson Palmer, whom had more upside going into the NFL then Quinn or Smith will, while trying to lead his team to a playoff berth (and coming close) during a pro bowl career season, I think he is a fine enough placement as a starter when the important thing is getting the rest of the pieces in place for 2008 when the new QB can take over. Personally, I know they will feel compelled to but they should trade that #1 or #2 spot for extra picks because good QB's will likely be around by the second round anyways. I wouldnt call Kitna THE problem but he is definitely A problem...when he led the Bengals to an 8-8 record...that will be going on 4 years ago. Kitna is a serviceable backup QB that can give you a spot start kind of like Charlie Batch or Joey Harrington. When we draft Quinn I want him to at the least be on equal footing to compete for the starting QB job immediately. Vince Young and Jay Cutler leading teams to victories are disproving the myth that rookie quarterback=losing. Lions need help everywhere but trading the number 1 pick would be absolutely foolish unless they get an offer the caliber the Chargers got in 2001 and 2004. We passed on a franchise QB last year for a 220 pound LB. Cant afford to neglect the most important position again

Passing yards isn't an indicator of great play, though. It's more a sign of what kind of system you played in, and that you played a ton of games. And more than half the time, the losing team has more passing yards than the winners. exactly...JON KITNA is about to have 4,000 yards passing

The difference is, the NBA players are black "thugs" and football players aren't. It definitely has to do with race because when a baseball brawl, or a hockey fight occurs, no one is saying "think of the kids" or "this is digusting", and all that garbage. Basketball has black thugs, therefore it's disgusting. Great point. But when Miami and Fla International had their fight earlier this year, all I heard was thug this and inner city that. When Lamar Thomas was getting hype during the fight all I heard was about how deplorable he was contributing to that. Yet a few years ago when the Tigers and White Sox had a big fight, Kirk Gibson was like "get it out your system boys!!!!". Nobody fired, no one calling MLB players thugs, no black eye on the sport. I could replace Tigers and White Sox with Red Wings-Avalanche and its the same thing

sounds like a good PPV but with 3 world champs in WWE now....there should NEVER be a PPV without a world title match...at least one

Reminds me again why I hate Melo. That was the sorriest bitch move by a player since Jamal Tinsley brought a dustpan to the Palace Brawl

If the trade doesn't involve Foye, I dont see the Sixers making a deal with Minnesota. A trade with Boston could make sense since the Sixers would get Ratliff or Wally along with some sort of combo of Jefferson,Green,West,Allen,Telfair,Rondo.

Why would the Bulls trade a guy they just drafted? And they like Deng. That isn't happening. "Raptors trade Charlie Villanueva for T.J. Ford"

I agree with Randy Foye. Every time I see him out there for real minutes he is always productive and giving a boost to the team. I would bench Mike James for him without flinching. Whats worse, they can't trade James because of that big contract, but they won't bench him...because of that big contract. Randy Foye looks like Dwayne Wade lite out there and he is riding pine for no reason other than the guy ahead of him getting paid a boatload of money. If Keith Van Horn could be traded making over 15 million. Minny wont have a problem trading Mike at the deadline. Pistons have a glaring roster hole he could fill

It was funny. I talked to Damaramu the other night. He is so convinced Michigan would beat USC, despite the fact USC outranked Michigan in every offensive category except rushing. It'll be fun to see USC kick some Wolverine ass. Oh and Boise State over OU too. yeah okay...if UCLA front 7 teed off on USC...what will the best front 7 in the nation do?

They could find anyone with that pick. It would be like the Hershel Walker trade revenge.

WDFN just reported that the Lions have been discussing a deal with the Vikings for Troy Williamson in the offseason. The Lions would give up their first round pick. I wanna throw up..any room left on the Bears bandwagon?

im baffled...fuck WWE seriously...I remember watching ECW 11 years ago as a little kid in Detroit sneaking and staying up at 3am and loving it.ECW used to be revolutionary, counter culture and it turned into utter bullshit.Seeing the invasion I saw this coming.Im going to sell my wrestlemania tickets. After HHH racist statements toward Booker I quit watching for years until the 1st one night stand...With this,Cryme Tyme, etc...guess WWE isnt for me again

playing 12 isnt enough?....I just wonder if USC have won....would Florida have leapfrogged us still? just a thought

so we get leapfrogged for number 2 twice...while not playing at all im fucking baffled

No its not, western carolina is a 2-9 1-AA team. I guess Michigan should have scheduled Grand Valley State and blew them out so we would be 12-1 too. and even you are saying Michigan is the second best team......so whats the discussion? These are my discussion points: 1. The BCS is a flawed and arbitrary system 2. Michigan, best case scenario, can only split with a team they already lost to, and thus are not an undisputed champion. what if Auburn was undefeated and number 1 and Michigan and Florida both had 1 loss seasons as currently......would you then support Michigan in the championship game? Provided Michigan won the Big Ten, you bet. I don't see how a team that couldn't even win their conference can play for the national championship. If Florida had a second loss, I could go with Michigan, but seeing as how they have the same record, and Florida won the SEC, Michigan shouldn't get the nat'l championship rematch. A. That rule isnt in effect for the BCS as of today B.If that rule becomes in effect next year, be ready to see 2 loss teams in the championship and more split championships C. Should Notre Dame ever be considered for a title?

Michigan would probably would win yet lose 31-14?....just using your quotes You're so stupid you don't know when someone's being sarcastic, aren't you? Either you are saying Michigan would lose to Florida by 17 on a neutral site or Michigan would beat Florida yet isn't the second best team. Who is the stupid one? Ok let me explain it since you REALLY are not getting it. The first post, where I predicted Florida 31, Michigan 14, was made in sarcasm. I then went on to answer it honestly, seeing that Florida is banged up like hell while Michigan has had two weeks break, and said that Michigan probably would win. However, due to that circumstance (Michigan being off and Florida having just played a tough game), it isn't the best indicator of who was better. Now, pit Florida with 4 weeks break against Michigan with 4 weeks break, and you will truly see who's better. Really, if we're going to have those people run around and people keep bringing up Damaramu, just bring him back. He at least supported his arguments with statistics, even though his USC hate was off the charts. "Why not? Michigan already lost to Ohio State. Let Florida have their chance." "Maybe this will give Florida the title game nod on virtue of this being an entertaining game (should Florida win)." "Ohio State must be laughing at all the prospective candidates for the title game, including Michigan. This looks like an easy title for Ohio State." supporting arguments with facts? looks like someone has a dislike for Michigan
