Vince no longer has the passion to better the product like he used to. If he did, he'd kick Steph and HHH the fuck out of The Writer's Meeting's, reassign/fire Gerwertz and all of the yes-man writers, rehire Russo,(If he isn't under a TNA deal), and Heyman to head up Raw and Smackdown, and cancel ECW. Or maybe that's what I'd do. Either way, I hope making The WWE Hunter and Steph's playground the last several year's was worth it when he get's lowballed on a new deal for his highest rated T.V. Show. If (when) WWE goes in the red, Stephanie McMahon-Levesque will be reassigned and not a day sooner or after that.

Actually, I thought Vince had little to no choice, given that Kennedy (once again) screwed up by being by busted in the NATIONWIDE steroid probe. Surely, you couldn't have expected them to push Kennedy with the major plot line of the summer given he had to be suspended with all the negative national media after the whole Benoit thing. To tell you the truth, as there was really no other person that would have made sense/received such a major push, i thought turning it into comedy to finish it qucikly was fine. Umaga and Morrison went right back to the major feuds they were in prior to getting suspended. WWE had no reason not to just wait for Kennedy.

so they have done a 3.3,3.4 and a 3.2 since doing a 3.9 the night Hornswoggle was named Vince's son...

I am pleasantly suprised at the Lions defense today. I was expecting us to have to shoot it out, even with Chicago

The more I look at these trade proposals, the more I believe the Suns should just keep Shawn this year and deal with the distractions. He cant half ass this season because it can be a contract year for him. Kirilenko would not be happy in Phoenix and start crying about Russia as he is in Utah. The Rasheed trade wont happen, Jamison would be sensible but is a putrid defender and the Suns cant afford anymore defensive liabilities since Kurt Thomas was traded. None of these offers would make the Suns any younger, better contenders for this year or save them money.

I recall the Suns asking for Rasheed,Rip and both 1st rounders...I think that it was the Suns not wanting to make the Pistons any better that made them ask for so much

Ford has owned the Lions since 1964 with zero notable successes....he has to be hands down the worst...no one has the longevity, the embarrassments, the non championships as he does. At least Ralph Wilson has made it to 4 super bowls.

no tour dates booked for any mondays.....

no excuses for Reggie now....far more often than not...if a RB is gonna be great, he is great as soon as he gets the carries to do so

How the hell did Debra become Rock's manager in early 2001?

And the WWE starts finding ways to work Ken Kennedy back into the Vince storyline

Akili Smith got picked up...multiple times. He wasnt good enough to even make a team's training camp. Tavaris may never see the field again after the mid point of the season but that has nothing to do with race. This past Sunday, he played like a SWAC QB playing against a NFL defense instead of an NFL QB. No he didn't Akili Smith played 2 games in his NFL career and was nothing more than practice squad fodder after his first attempt at a NFL QB. Am I saying he deserved another chance? No. He sucked. But at the same time, look at Tim Couch who got chances at Cleveland, Green Bay, Cincinnati, Chicago, Tennessee, Miami, Pittsburgh, Houston and Jacksonville. Or Ryan Leaf who got chances in San Diego, Tampa Bay, Dallas, Seattle and teams were still interested when he just decided to retire. What do all these guys have in common? They sucked and should be cut. But with black QB's like Akili, sadly, alot of people still expect them to not be successful NFL QB's because they are black. And alot of people from that era of thinking happen to be GM's and Owners now. Do I think GOOD Qb's face more flack because they are black? Of course not. Its about performance and wins (Unless you play in Atlanta or Philly...or you are Peter Noone). But when it comes to the hangerons trying to make a team, I think that black QBs have a harder time because, like I said, like it or not there is still a certain stigma attached to black QBs. LOL...Tim Couch did not get chances with 9 different teams. He went to Green Bay and Jacksonville and was cut prior to the season. Akili went to Green Bay and Tampa Bay and cut before the season. He went to NFL Europe and played terrible and is currently a CFL backup. Based on what should he have gotten more leeway? Tim Couch and Joey Harrington both look like superstar QBs compared to him. The days of Warren Moon and Doug Williams not getting a chance for years are long over.

Of course you cant say the same about Harrington, but Kordell is very comparable to Rex Grossman who you named in your post as "not getting a chance if he was a young, athletic black QB". Rex is 18-7 as a starter and went to the super bowl as a starter. I would say that the Steelers won in spite of Kordell and he was the only reason they didnt win the super bowl sooner than 2006. I would say the same thing for Rex the past two years. The point is that Kordell got roughly 6 years as a starter in the same place and was trusted even with his highly inconsistent passing.

Its irrelevant what "percentage" he is playing at. He was throwing Chad Henne like passes last night. No excuses for that.

What an idiot. Joey Harrington was practically considered Satan around here for his years of bad quarterbacking. He got far more criticism than Charlie Batch or Andre Ware. McNabb is just setting himself up to cry racism WHEN Kolb replaces him in Philly. I also didnt hear Donovan give any examples to this supposed theory.

Lions +6.5 and over 44 against Philly seems pretty much like a gimmie given that both teams will throw every down.

The question was the direction the ball went, not where the Dyson's feet were located

..................are you serious? Cena's promos aren't even close to what Roberts' were. He means Orton.

why in the world couldnt they have just waited a few weeks for Kennedy's return?

I rushed home, caused a car accident, paid alot of money to get that shit fixed just to see THIS? This has to be Lloyd Carr's final season or else

I agree it is ideal for a QB to sit a year or half a season to take in the playbook and such, but sitting a player who is obviously your future at QB just to sit him is rediculous. I remember 5 years ago when we started Mike McMahon for the first two games of the season instead of Joey Harrington just to do it. Naturally, Mike played terrible and Joey took over the job anyway. Charlie Frye isnt good enough to be the Browns QB of the present nor the future, Cleveland decided not to get a proven vet this offseason so they should just cut the bullshit and start Brady.
