IS it just me, or do I see them further erasing Benoit from history when 3 years later Orton wins a belt at Summerslam, but it'll be THIS ONE they will mention forever. I guess that victory in 2004 will be a lost cause.
-
THANK GOD!!!!!!!!!! Now we can get a decent rematch between Umaga and Jeff.
-
Any idea where Lashley will go now? Is it a feud with Carlito? I'm pretty sure he'll be somewhere on the Summerslam card, but against who though, is the big question.

Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released
Boxer replied to Human Fly's topic in The WWE Folder
So unless I missed it, did Benoit have his funeral yet? Has he been buried already? Or no date yet? I'd like to know who attended/will attend this. -
+1, it's about time too!

What was the plan for Ahmed Johnson's IC title run? Was there going to be and eventualy Intercontiental vs. WWF Champion match down the road between Shawn and Ahmed? Or was Ron Simmons going to take the belt off of him?
-
What if Goldberg and Brock were still in the WWE today? Would gwe get massive win streaks from the both of them? I guess we would be looking at the WWE and World Heavyweight Champions?
-
I hope you haven't spoken too soon.

Does anyone with PWinsider elite know what they are saying? http://www.pwinsider.com/ViewArticle.asp?id=25640&p=1 Maybe this lists exists somewhere after all?

WWE Champion John Cena vs. Bobby Lashley This match should've been saved for Summerslam, and I think a rematch is possible so I'm going with a double DQ. Winner: Cena World Heavyweight Champion The Great Khali vs. Batista vs. Kane - Triple Threat Match This is a match that has people wondering, since it just happened due to injuries. Does anybody think Khali will actually retain the title? Or better yet, Batista regains it? Winner: The Great Khali ECW World Champion John Morrison vs. CM Punk There will be a Summerslam rematch and Punk will finally win there. I see Morrison retaining and at Summerslam it'll be an extreme rules title match when Punk finally wins the big one. Winner: Nit......... er............. Morrison Intercontinental Champion Umaga vs. Jeff Hardy Hardy defeats Umaga here to win the IC title. If the Jackass storyline is gonna start, I guess they want to take the title off of Umaga first. Winner: Hardy Women's Champion Candice Michelle vs. Melina Candace retains, and it'll probably be a rematch with something like a pudding match or something at Summerslam to work with the gimmick. Winner: Candace Dusty Rhodes vs. Randy Orton (Texas Bull Rope Match) Orton wins to continue to Legend Killer gimmick. Will probably see Orton vs. Cody Rhodes at Summerslam. Rhodes will be a bloody mess in this match. Winner: Orton United States Champion MVP vs. Matt Hardy MVP retains. I don't think it's time for them to take the title off of him yet. Then again, there is a small push going on lately for Matt. Winner: MVP Sandman vs. Carlito Sandman over Carlito. I think this will be the begining of some sort of small push for Sandman. I wouldn't think they would put Sandman on a non ECW pay per view for nothing. Winner: Sandman Added last minute to the pay per view: Cruiserweight Open: Chavo vs. Jimmy Wang Yang vs. Shannon Moore vs. Funaki vs. Jamie Noble I say Noble wins the strap to give it a change of pace. Winner: Jamie Noble One last BOLD prediction, we will get either a NEW Triple H return video or a backstage promo with Booker T on Triple H to set up their match at Summerslam. Booker down, Kennedy, Orton and Cena to go for Hunter. Meanwhile, somewhere the WWE and World Tag Team champions are crying in a corner.......

So why did Tazz shoot or no shoot, show so much DISDAIN for Styles? Where this this heat come from, if it exists?
-
Caught the last few minutes of the MVP-Hardy match, so really don't have an opinion on that. Cruiserweight Championship, can't say I'm shocked they went with that decision. I had a feeling Chavo would drop the strap, but with McMahon's decision to move away from "Wrestling" on Smackdown, I guess this is where they are gonna start. Sandman/Carlito was a little bland, and I'm shocked Carlito won. Candace vs. Melina was an okay match, but what stood out was Candace's improvement in the ring. If she continues at this rate she is going to be a great wrestler just like Trish. The looks and the wrestling skill. She may become a big star down the road, and I guess the teaming up with Cena is the start. Umaga vs. Jeff was an awesome match. Probably match of the night, as both guys worked their parts great. The final sequence of the combo finish to Jeff was great. Umaga looked like a monster again in this match. Morrison/Punk was an ok match, but they definately need to do an extreme match rules for summerslam. Punk will FINALLY take the title there, and it'll be more thrilling as this match was missing something. Orton vs. Rhodes was a little slow and I guess they went short on time possibly. Just establishing Orton pretty much. Triple Threat title match was actually not bad. Khali actually took some bumps and Kane and Batista looked good tonight. I have no idea where they are going with this title, but I think Khali will drop it at Summerslam. Cena vs. Lashley was not bad at all. Started a little slow, but had a nice sequence of chain wrestling from Lashley. Lashley sort of brought it tonight and looked a little fluid in the ring. Cena did his usual stuff, but I was surprised to see Lashley protected like that. Not tapping out and not taking the pin fall to a regular FU view. Overall either the matches were pretty good or average nothing really offensive but we'll see where they go for Summerslam. BTW, I'm glad to see my prediction was right about Triple H and a video and Booker T. coming out to talk smack.

Looking back at that 4 year run Hall had in the WWF from late 92 to about early 96, I was wondering if anyone else also thought that he would've been used better than he was? I never saw Scott Hall in the AWA and I really could care much about his first and second WCW runs because he was made to look like a joke in both anyways. A 4 time Intercontinental Champion, the fans wanted to cheer this guy on and when he did turn face, boy he was over with the crowd. Would a World Title run help him cement in place in WWF history? It's a amazing how long Razor was over with the crowd until his last days with the company. Looking back at his work thanks to the box sets now and Youtube to refresh me memory he was a pretty mobile guy in the ring. I'd say he was probably what? Maybe behind Bret, Undertaker and Shawn those days in popularity and I would think that he drew some crowds. The whole gimmick as Razor just worked for him and it was probably one of the better gimmicks of all time. Also, his entrence with the pyro and the "Me-Me'Me-Me-Yeah" was definately something that stood out and made him unique. It's a shame WCW made him out to look too much like a joke in his last run from 97-00 or else I would've been the first to pick up a The Bad Guy: Razor Ramon DVD. I highly doubt the WWE would make a dvd on him, but who knows down the road. Maybe a "The Outsiders DVD" featuring matches and highlights of Hall and Nash would work.

During the Raw vs. Smackdown 5 on 5 match from Survivor Series 2005, were the Raw and Smackdown announcing teams shooting on each other? If you haven't seen the match: http://www.dailymotion.com/relevance/searc...ries-2005_sport The commentary made this match amsuing. Why so much tension between the 5 of them? Tazz seemed especially PISSED at something here.

I guess Layla changed the standard for the search somehow. I don't know why she isn't even on Raw, since it was know as the RAW diva search back then.

When should John Cena Drop the Belt?
Boxer replied to JaMarcus Russell's #1 Caucasian Fan's topic in The WWE Folder
Seriously, I was gonna say MONTREAL, but then I remembered Survivor Series moved to a different locale. If he's gonna drop it, make it at Wrestlemania and no where else. If he didn't drop it at lesser know pay per view such as New Year's Resolution and One Night Stand I'm sure it would've meant more. BTW, imagine if Cena still had the belt straight from Wrestlemania 21 to now? Geez, how many days would that be? I say no one is ready to get the title off of him at the moment. -
On the topic of Carlito, wouldn't it be something if Scott Hall interfered in that match to get revenge on Carlito from their match a week ago? Ok, I know that will never happen but I'd mark out.
-
What if WCW never "reset"? The big Nitro in April where everyone was stripped of their titles. I wanted Sid to go on a LONG run with the WCW title. He was starting to get comfortable with the title and then he's stripped of it.
-
The more I think about it, it makes sense. I guess the moment HBK would've left, Bret would be back in an instance. As for Shawn, is it true he tried to go to WCW on three separate occasions? In 1993, contract holdout 1996, wanted to join Hall and Nash to WCW 1997, tried to get fired during that DX run and join the nWo. If Shawn HAD jump to WCW in either of those periods, boy the WWE would be a very different place. In 1993, it would've been no ladder match then. In 1996 had previously been mentioned. In 1997, no screwjob then? Since McMahon didn't have to choose between HBK and The Hit Man.

Just watched the Invasion match featuring Show/Gunn/Albert vs. Kanyon/Stasiak/Morris. My question is, what the hell is up with the WCW team's music? TOTAL Mr. Perfect ripoff right there. Was that music that was played something the WWE used for them, or was that actual ORIGINAL WCW music? If so, count it in as ANOTHER Russo ripoff?
-
What if Shawn Michaels quit the WWF in mid 1996 and just dumped/took the title to WCW? Showed up on Nitro in nWo colours and proceeded to trash the WWF. How would the WWF do with an already thin roster?
-
So what does everyone think of the "Intercontinental Championship"? This title has been booked like crap over the years, we all know that. The US Title has moved so far above the IC title that it's sad. How do you like the prestige of the IC title? I wish a guy like Punk could hold that title, but I guess the days of that title being a stepping stone to the world title is over?
-
So can anyone pretty much confirm that the "list" from Pwinsider is a sham?

What would it take to make you interested in the WWE again
Boxer replied to iggymcfly's topic in The WWE Folder
After watching a bunch of clips of Shawn Michaels from 1997, damn, him a heel, a nuclear heel heat one would be great. Him and Cena can be the top heels on Raw. If Shawn could be a heel like that again, things would be great. Looking back, some of that heat he got as a DX member was simply great. -
Someone needs to pitch this idea to the WWE team or Brian Gerwitz specifically.
