  1. So I'm watching the segment from Raw in 1996, when Bret Hart came back and made his announcement that he was staying in the WWF. Vince acts all scared and such, this couldn't have been a shoot interview right? Did Vince really not know if Bret was gonna say if he was staying or not? Also, I saw a clip of Shawn and Bret jawing at each other on a Raw before the Royal Rumble and both were acting like heels. This was an awesome segment that was clipped on one of these video sites and I just want to know, where the heck was that going? I guess Bret vs. Shawn at Mania 13?
  2. I got this off of rajah.com, but couldn't find a link to trace it back to slam wrestling, but nevertheless: "The 2007 edition of the Survivor Series was tentatively scheduled to take place in Montreal, but that's off the cards now. According to the Canadian-based wrestling website SLAM! Wrestling, the event will be held in Miami, Florida instead. "It was tentatively booked a long time ago, but we never announced (Survivor Series) would be in Montreal," said WWE Canada president Carl DeMarco. "There was a hold on the building, but sometimes there are routing issues." All I can say is THANK GOD. No way, did I want booking to revolve around "November 1997" again.
  3. How can you forget the Undertaker? and he also missed Wrestlemania 10.
  4. With Hunter going down now and missing Wrestlemania, is it correct that Bret Hart still holds the longest consecutive streaks of Manias? I got Wrestlemania's 2-13 for Bret. With Hunter tied for second with 11 straight frrm Wrestlemania 12-22. It's amazing 10 years after his last Mania that Bret would still hold the streak.

    The Syracuse Incident

Well, nice to know Shawn layed down and did the job that time. Too bad the GI wasn't Shane Douglas. Then at least the job would have more credibility.

WON News + Notes, Jan 15 Issue

I guess depending on how much they want to bury Punk at the moment, will we see a "Tazz Royal Rumble moment" from 2001 in Punk's future? I wouldn't be surprised.
  7. According to a wwe.com raw preview, yup, already before the ppv is over, Mr. McMahon will bring out Rosie and Donald to "settle" their feud. Well do I have a feeling, someone will join the kiss my ass club tommorrow night?

    New Year's Revolution

Judging my the posts here, the tag title match seems like a trainwreck here. Boy, if HHH was hurt, this would severely mess up Mania. But then again, maybe a HBK heel turn and HBK vs. Cena? OR Team RKO gets an even bigger head, after taking out HHH?
  9. Well Im going to the House show on the 26th in Albany. OMG historic night!! I don't get something here. Is Meltzer implying a 3rd member to DX? Unless I missed something, I guess this is a handicap match?
  10. So is Scorpio er................ Flash Funk ready to debut in WWE yet? er......... re-debut?

Things we didn't know a year ago

That Bret Hart would come back to WWE in 2006.
  12. Actually..... about Orton. Here's the full post, but no source was linked.
  13. I got this from another board, so take this with a grain of salt, but apparently now, WWE wants to go in a direction of having either Cena or Batista turn on the other, and have a match at Wrestlemania 23.

Wrestlemania 23 at Ford Field Detroit

Anything about Macho Man and Ricky Steamboat? I mean since it is the 20th anniversary and all, I'm surprised nothing has evven popped up. Then again, it's Savage.

    101 Reasons Why Edge is...

    51. He was apart of the Smackdown 6 in 2002 52. He promised us he would not "Billy Gunn" the 2001 King of the Ring

If you could only watch one wrestler

Bret Hart I only still wish I could've seen Bret vs. Vader, Mankind, Ron Simmons, Ken Shamrock, and The Rock, not Rocky Maivia, in 15-20 minute matches during 1997.
  17. So apparently, RVD will challenge Big Show at December to Dismember in a Extreme Elimination Chamber Match. Also, from wwe.com, Smackdown and ECW will combine on the house show circut. ECW will no longer have house shows by themselves starting Dec 26.
  18. Now the World Heavyweight Title match at No Mercy is a Fatal Four Way: For the first time in SmackDown history, a pay-per-view main event has been changed with less than a week to go before the event. General Manager Theodore Long has ordered Sunday’s World Heavyweight Championship Match to be changed to a Fatal Four-Way. Per the General Manager’s orders, King Booker will now be forced to defend his gold against not only No. 1 Contender Bobby Lashley, but also former World Heavyweight Champion Batista and Finlay. As always, the rules of a Fatal Four-Way are simple: the first Superstar to record a pinfall or submission will take home the gold. Stay tuned to Friday Night SmackDown for more on this breaking story. Credit: wwe.com
  19. I happened to notice that Jimmy Yang's profile has been added on wwe.com http://www.wwe.com/superstars/smackdown/Ji...ngYang/profile/ Interesting profile to say the least.
  20. This is something I've always wanted to ask everyone out here. Survivor Series 1997. Basically, to the Americans, how did you view the main event? Was it heel vs. heel? face vs. heel? or heck, face vs. face? I know Bret was getting some pops from the crowd only because they hated Shawn so much yet I saw some cheers for DX along the way as well. In Canada it was simple, with Bret as a face and Shawn as a heel, but I've never really gotten an answer as to how you Americans viewed it.
  21. Does he give a reason for Nash being a minion of Satan? I believe it was pretty much the "vanilla midgets" and thinking that him and Benoit didn't deserve pushes in WCW is what led to that.
  22. Kinda dissappointed that the Bookey/Finlay match was listed again. It was just listed last month. Whoever does this for the WWE is really sloppy. I also hope we get another viewers choice month. Some of the selections the last few months were horrible.

The U.S Title or the IC Title

It's definately true that it hasn't been defended since Wrestlemania 18. 2002 - RVD vs. William Regal© 2003 - Non Active 2004 - Randy Orton© was in a 3 on 2 match 2005 - Shelton Benjamin© was in the money in the bank 2006 - Same as 2005 As for the US Title 2004 - Big Show © vs. John Cena 2005 - Orlando Jordan © did not defend the title 2006 - Chris Benoit © vs. JBL

The U.S Title or the IC Title

I'd definately say the US title. It just seems more important the last few years even though it's had some crappy wrestlers holding the title. Also, at least it's been defended at Wrestlemania. The last time the IC Title was defended at a Wrestlemania? 2002.
