  1. Maybe tonight, he'll fall into the casket with Big Show, and goodbye. Now that's what I call a burial, pun intended.

Dave Luger actually won, I am completely shocked. Well, I guess since there is nothing left with Jericho on Raw, send him to Smackdown.

Brock got him pretty good too during the Goldberg-Lesnar feud. I was surprised he took an F-5 from Lesnar.

    Perry Saturn

I hope he's alright, but shit, if you were to say that about 8 years later, 3/4 of the Radicalz were dead, I wouldnt believe you.

For a guy that charges $10/mo (or one can argue he charges $5 while Meltz charges $5), Alvarez really doesn't seem to know shit about anything. The 'argument' in question was a light hearted debate at best and nothing serious. I wouldn't judge Alvarez over that one instance. As for Cyber Sunday: WWE Championship Match Triple H © vs. Fans Chose Opponent Jeff Hardy Vladimir Kozlov Triple H vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Vladimir Kozlov Predicition: Triple Threat, and HHH retains pedigreeing Hardy. Intercontinental Championship Match Santino Marella © vs. A WWE Legend "Rowdy" Roddy Piper Goldust Honky Tonk Man Prediction: Piper over Santino World Heavyweight Championship Match Chris Jericho © vs. Batista Pick the special referee: Randy Orton "Stone Cold" Steve Austin Shawn Michaels Prediction: I know they sort of want Austin, but I think Shawn gets the nod. I don't see a title change, so Jericho retains somehow. Undertaker vs. Big Show Knockout Match I Quit Match Last Man Standing Match Prediction: LMS match, Show wins via screwjob to keep the feud going Rey Mysterio vs. Kane The fans will be able to vote for the stipulation of the match. Here are the choices: Falls Count Anywhere Match No Holds Barred Match Best 2-out-of-3 Falls Match Prediction: Falls Count Anywhere, and Mysterio wins after some crazy move. Divas Halloween Costume Contest The fans will be able to log on to the official WWE website during the PPV to determine the winner. Prediction: Toilet break. ECW Championship match Matt Hardy © vs. Fans Choose Opponent Mark Henry Evan Bourne Finlay Prediction: I think it'll wind up with Henry getting voted in and winning the title so as to give the impression voting can lead to something newsworthy happening. Pick The Tag Team Match World Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase vs. CM Punk & Kofi Kingston John Morrison & The Miz vs. Cryme Tyme Jamie Noble & Mickie James vs. William Regal & Layla Prediction: Punk and Kingston vs. Priceless with Priceless going over. WWE United States Championship Match (Preview Match) Shelton Benjamin vs. Fans Chose Opponent Fans can vote for the following opponents on the official WWE website: R-Truth MVP Festus Prediction: R-Truth gets voted in and wins the title. How can anyone think Festus would get voted in, loses, and then turns heel? I read somewhere that they wanted to turn Festus heel and the way he's been acting around Maria lately, looks like he could turn into some sort of stalker type character? I just don't see them giving away a big win for R-Truth, for free.

Fourteen names total! Eddie Golden Eddie Boulder (AWA/NWA) Dizzy Hogan (NWA) Brutus Beefcake Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake Furface Bruther Bruti (WCW) The Butcher (WCW) The Man With No Name The Zodiac (WCW) The Bootyman (WCW) The Disciple (nWo) Ed Leslie (WCW) Brute Force (Australia) That name takes the cake. The baby's name will be Furface Ziering!

Brutus Beefcake knocks up super model?

Leslie was Shark too? Damn, he was more versatile that I thought. Correction, I got that one mixed up. I guess that's what happens when you have over 10 names in Wrestling.

Brutus Beefcake knocks up super model?

I think "The Baby with No Name, Ziering" works best. Since we got a bit of the Zodiac/Disciple/Brutus/Bootyman/Shark/etc.... and of course Ms. Ziering still whoring the name of Ian. Seriously, if this is his kid, this has got to be one of the BEST, WTF, they had a baby, couples. Edit: Shit, after wikipediaing him, the man has so many freaking names: Eddie Golden[1] Ed Boulder[1] Dizzy Hogan[1] Brutus Beefcake[1] Brother Bruti[1] Brute Force[1] The Butcher[1] The Man With No Name[1] Zodiac[1] The Booty Man[1] E. Harrison Leslie The Disciple[1] The Clipsmaster Stuart "Beefcake" Healey Dizzy Hogan and Clipsmaster have got me ROTGLMAO. Also, I forgot this man created an antrax scene back in the day. I guess if Scott Baio was 45 and single, well, Brutus is 58 and banging models.

    WWE SmackDown - October 17, 2008

I read somewhere the writers wanted a heel turn for Festus and Jesse. Maybe they'll turn Maria heel too, and have a Festus/Maria pairing. Maybe they'll get smart enough and use the bell tactic as a heel tool, instead of using it as a face.

    WWE SmackDown - October 17, 2008

So does the HHH-Taker death grip on Smackdown begin next week? I guess we are going to see a 5 month build up to Wrestlemania eh?

Brutus Beefcake knocks up super model?

Someone needs to create a poster just like the one from Knocked Up, but with Beefcake's face instead.

    The Next WWE Superstar

Ripped off from the previously bumped thread from 2002, pick who you think will become the next WWE "superstar".

    The Next WWE Superstar

Well, Dibiase has certainly smoked this poll. Maybe the bookers were onto something when there was small talk of him ending Taker's streak. It'll be interesting to see in a few years how correct or incorrect we all were.
  16. Some rather obvious ones: Muhammed Hassan: When his ski mask "friends" helped him attack Undertaker and carry off Davari. Sting: Starrcade 1997. Bobby Lashley: Tapping out to Cena, it was over for me at least. Rob Van Dam: Pot Bust 2006. Might have gone far with the WWE/ECW titles. Goldust: Face turn in 1997. Should've stayed heel for good.

    Scott Hall arrested

I'll finish your thought. Frankly, he'd quietly walk up and beat the shit out of the guy. Unlike Hall here, because he was drunk, I would think everyone here would support Bret if he clocked him.
  18. I don't know about the rest of you guys but more or less the WWE product to me is pretty much stale at this point. Same title matches during the pay per views, nothing really earth shattering, and the draft on the way but with guys showing up on any show left and right, even that doesn't matter anymore. With that said though, what isn't stale to you personally on WWE TV? I'd really like to know, maybe I would focus on those parts of the WWE TV.

WWE General Discussion - October 2008

D'lo Brown. Do they have any plans with him? Seems he's just there, but no specific plan for him. Send him to Smackdown or ECW if the Raw roster is too packed.

What isn't stale in the WWE?

All this talk of HHH being stale, well, even though he is a face, the only man it seems they've kept away from HHH is R-Truth. Hell, maybe these guys can meet down the road and he can be the one to end the HHH reign of terror 2008 version? And since everyone has said he's taken down everyone in his path, is this a correct list of HHH's hit list since being on Smackdown? Shelton MVP Hardy Khali Kendrick Am I missing anyone else?

What isn't stale in the WWE?

It's a few months since this thread so with about 4 months in after the draft what's stale to you? The only thing really stale to me is the stupid JBL-Batista feuding forever and either one of those men getting a title shot. Frankly, neither man deserves one in my books. So WWE, good job not making things stale to me. For a change it's a lot easier to type what is stale versus what's not stale.

    The Next WWE Superstar

It's funny you said Rhodes, I was going to put him as a selection, but I had a feeling not enough people were feeling him. As for my pick, I voted for R-Truth. I really see big things in the future for him as long as HHH doesn't get to him. Hell, if HHH turned heel and R-Truth went over him for the WWE title someday, there would instantly be your biggest star.

    The Business Side of WWE

With their I believe, downside guarentee contracts, I wanted to discuss, because I am curious, how these men and women make money. Beside the contracts, how else do superstars make money? Box office revenue? Pay per view buys? Shirts, figures, DVD's, etc....... Which other source of revenue is the most profitable? Also, does anyone have a list of who currently makes the most from all of those combined? So what we would be looking at here is the overall income from all sources for a wrestler. Some guys always make the video game cuts, while other guys, simple rotate whether being in a game or not. Also, how do the figures works? Do they get a percentage of the Jakks toys? Looking at all these revenue streams, I'm just surprised some stars could blow all their money when their are so many different streams of revenue. I've also wondered what cut the wrestlers get from the DVD's specifically. Any answers and other discussion about the business side of the business is welcome.
  25. What are your moments where it was just the RIGHT time to put a belt on a wrestler? That he was either hot, over with the crowd, or making them some money, yet the promotion didn't go with it, had no faith in them, didn't listen to the fans, or in their terms, deemed them not "ready" or don't work that "main event style". I don't know if this would be THE moment where a company blew it with on superstar, but the one that stands out the most for me was 2001. ROB VAN DAM. Boy, the most over guy during the whole invasion period, crowds kept on getting louder and louder each week. Forget the aborted 2002 run where he should've gotten the title, I think No Mercy 2001 was the perfect time, if ever to make him the WWF Champion. Other ones that stand out for me. Chris Jericho 2000. That Raw in April was PERFECT for Jericho to win. Unfortunately HHH was still feuding with Rock so there really was no sense in making Jericho a transitional champion. Maybe they should've just broken off the HHH-Rock feud into a HHH-Jericho feud post Wrestlemania 2000. Goldberg, Summerslam 2003. The crowd was getting louder and louder for him each and every opponent he put away. But then HHH, injured and all, had to retain via sledgehammer in one of the most selfish and STUPID endings to a match ever. He takes one sweet chin music, does nothing, and pins Goldberg, who destroyed everyone else and rightfully should've gotten the title.
