Number 1 is the best. Number 4 is silly.

Agreed. IMO, Hogan has akways sucked and so has Orton. This match will be crap. That's where I disagree. I don't find Hogan's returns entertaining in any way.
-
Well, another crap Raw. The DX shit was boring and just not funny. I couldn't care less about the dumb divas. There were no good matches either(not even the main-event). The only good thing was Edge winning the title. Lets hope Edge gets a decent run this time!

Call me old-fashioned, but I don't have such a relaxed attitude towards weed like most people seem to. Just because it is commonly used, that doesn't make it automatically acceptable. Knowing WWE though, RVD and Sabu will probably get off lightly.

I just finished watching week 3 of ECW, and I have to admit, Sabu/Roadkill was a good opener(Roadkill is quite agile, considering his size) and Angle/RVD was a great main-event. I think RVD is a great worker, and I really don't understand people's criticism of him. Angle was great as usual, and he really complemented RVD's style. The clean finish was also nice. As for the rest of the show, IT SUCKED. I'm sick of this Sandman/gimmick beatdown crap. I've hated it from week 1, and this week was the worst(I don't want to see anybody's arse hanging out). Dreamer/Bigshow is a pointless angle. Because of a great main-event and a decent opener, I'd say this was the best week of ECW so far.

Exactly. I wasn't even into Batista when Triple H carried him through their feud. To me, he's just another musclebound hoss moulded in Brock Lesnar's image.
-
JBL was once again on form. Lashley/Booker could've been better. Super Crazy/Helms was good, but a bit too short. Hardy/Finlay was the best match of the night. An ok show, not as good as the last few weeks.

Smackdown is being preempted here in the UK tonight for golf. I hate the fact that that they always give more inportance to anything other than wrestling. Golf sucks!
-
One good thing about Vince's detachment from WWE is that Smackdown is being left alone to produce great wrestling.
-
I'm still not into ECW yet. I think it's the worst of the three brands(Smackdown is easily the best!) Week 2 of ECW was only mildly better than the first, IMO(purely because of the main- event). I haven't seen week 3 yet, but it'll probably be crap.

Smarks Smarks understand that wrestling is predetermined, and have knowledge of its inner workings. Thus, they are more critical of the product and demand alot from it. They can, however, praise good booking decisions or an angle that is done right. Generally, Smarks view the wrestling as the most inportant part of the show(as I do). It is possible for a Smark to "Mark-out", meaning that during a wrestling show, when for example, a wrestler executes a cool spot during a match, or a segment or promo etc is well done, a Smark may get as excited and be genuinely entertained as a Mark would be. Marks The technical definition of a a mark is somebody who thinks wrestling is a legitimate sport. However, a broader definition of the term can also be given as someone who is aware that wrestling is predetermined, but is not critical or analytical of the product on any level and is happy to accept the booking decisions and writing of a promotion without questioning them. Marks are usually entertained by the product even when the core fanbase is unhappy with it. __________________________________________________________________________ P.S. These are only my definition of the terms, based on my views.

Could you say that again? I can't hear you over The Rock's crowd pop. Oh, hold on, Hogan is cupping his ear so it's getting even louder. I'm not saying you can't be successful without wrestling ability, but wrestlers who are, become so largely because of casual fans who are drawn in by a character who they're entertained by. The core fans, like me, however, are entertained by the matches themselves. Thus, to the core fans, wrestling ability is the most important thing.

The card is as follows: WWE Championship Match - Rob Van Dam © vs. Edge w/ Lita. 2 on 5 Handicap Match - D-Generation X vs. The Spirit Squad. Extreme Lumberjack Match - John Cena vs. Sabu. WWE Intercontinental Championship - Triple Threat - Shelton Benjamin © vs. Carlito vs. Johnny Nitro. - Kurt Angle vs. Randy Orton. 2 out of 3 Falls Match - Ric Flair vs. Mick Foley. - Kane vs. "Fake" Kane. - Umaga vs. Eugene. Looking forward to Flair/Foley(Foley's "intentional sabotage" could be entertaining). IC triple threat could also be good. RVD/Edge has some promise. What do you think?

I think he's getting booed/not getting a reaction because of the horrible booking of this whole ECW VS Raw angle. He had the best match at Vengeance with Edge, so it's not because he can't perform in the ring.
-
Number 2 is the best. Number 3 is ok.

People have to remember that wrestling ability is the most important thing.. Even if you think that Cena has an interesting character(which I don't) and is good for business, the fact still remains that he's a horrible wrestler. His matches are tedious and boring and he has a limited moveset. This is even less acceptable given Cena's main- event spot(if he was a midcarder it wouldn't be that big of a deal). I'm not saying that getting a reaction from the crowd or being the WWE's top merchandise seller aren't important factors, I'm just saying that all those things are nowhere near as important as bieng a good wrestler. There have been many wrestlers that have been mega-sucessful despite there lack of a solid workrate(Huk Hogan is a prime example), but I still don't find them interesting to watch in the ring. IMO, anyone who doesn't put wrestling talent above any other aspect of a wrestler's skills is not a true wrestling fan.

The story with Imposter Kane and Kane.
Wrestlefreak replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in The WWE Folder
Yeah, me too. The may 19th angle sucked, but this fake Kane storyline is interesting. Kane has a cool mythology behind his character(with the exception of the Katie Vick crap), and it'll be interesting to see how this current angle goes. well done to the poster of this thread for the intriguing theory. -
Kane kicking fake Kane's ass was cool(especially the chokeslam on the ramp). Cena/RVD was ok. Edge's T-shirt tantrum was funny. Not as bad as last week's Raw(still not in Smackdown's league). The mark fans interviews were so lame.
-
Edge/RVD was easily the best match. A great match. The triple threat was also good, with some amazing spots. DX/spirit squad was ok, Cena's match was average. A good PPV, overall. P.S. I ordered the encore presentation this morning, and Sky apparently edited out the segment where Vince talks to a boy in a wheelchair. From now on, I'm only gonna order the live PPVs, and tape them.
-
That match was at Wrestlemania X-7.
-
I just thought of a horrible prospect: After Vengeance, and when this Raw/ECW angle does finally stop, WWE will probably add an ECW PPV to the calendar sometime in the near future(since ECW only has ONS as an exclusive). I doubt WWE would be willing to leave ECW with 1 PPV a year. WWE really doesn't need another PPV. In regards to RVD, I think he should retain the title at Vengeance. IMO, he should be given a decent run and then drop the belt to Edge later on. It certainly shouldn't go back to Cena(who Ive had enough of) or HHH(who has had enough title runs) anytime soon.
-
A solid Smackdown. Rey/Henry was good, Booker/Lashley was even better. The tag match was also good. Mr Kennedy was great,(it's a good sign when you insult the crowd and they still cheer you) and the crowd was pumped. JBL was good on commentry. Raw is giving us crap, while Smackdown is giving us great wrestling.

Then what? I'm in my profile now and I'm not sure where to go. Thanks in advance.

Is it possible to adapt the text under my avatar? If so, how? Mine currently says "Velocity", but I wanna change it. P.S. I'm not talking about my sig.

Number 2 is the best. Number 1 doesn't look silly, but it's a bit plain. 3 and 4 look ridiculous!
