    November 3rd 2006 Smackdown Thread

Official Smackdown Preview Brothers of Destruction For the first time in more than five years, the Brothers of Destruction will team up again. General Manager Theodore Long made the announcement after M.V.P. assisted Mr. Kennedy in defeating The Big Red Monster in a No Disqualification match. Montel Vontavious Porter & Mr. Kennedy will join together, but will they survive Kane & Undertaker? Returning the favor World Heavyweight Champion King Booker looked confident heading into the huge tag team match this week on SmackDown. That confidence turned to disgust when ECW World Champion Big Show turned his back and walked out, leaving the King alone to face Batista & WWE Champion John Cena. Batista capitalized and pinned King Booker. Days before Cyber Sunday, will the World Heavyweight Champion be as confident knowing his championship may be on the line? Rabid Chris Benoit spent much of last week trying to get his questions answered by Chavo & Vickie Guerrero, only to have the Guerreros turn their backs on The Wolverine, leaving him alone in the center of the ring. Will The United States Champion Benoit finally get some answers, or will the Guerreros once more ignore his request? He’s back The Boogeyman made his return to SmackDown, making his presence felt after the Diva Trick or Treat Battle Royal. What does the returning Superstar have in store for the rest of SmackDown. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've already seen the show, and it was good(as usual!).

    November 3rd 2006 Smackdown Thread

I loved JBL's comment about Chavo's spelling(it's always great when the the fan's perceptions at home are acknowledged). I also laughed at his remark about DDP and Kanyon(although I think DDP was a good worker). JBL has always been great on commentary- especially his shoot comments. Even though the angle about protecting the champion was somewhat pointless(given that the other brands didn't do the same), The Booker/Batista segments were still great. Booker alternating between King and commoner was hillarious!

October 30th's Raw thread (number 701!)

I agree with you, but you do know the votes are probably rigged, right? I can't be 100% sure about that, but it's a distinct possibility in WWE. I'm voting for Cyber Sunday just for the hell of it though. Aside from Cryme Tyme, the rest of the show sucked. I can't believe Dusty repeatedly called Flair a 6-time world champ. I was cringing through the whole segment

IMO, Tatanka won't really work as a heel. He's not a horrible worker, but he has almost no heat. Given the angle with the refs though, it does make sense. Benoit should have had some ring-time this week. I'm not crazy about his innevitable feud with Chavo, but at least we should get some good matches from it.

oAo ECW on Sci Fi Thread // October 24, 2006

RVD/Bigshow was decent. Holly/Test wasn't great, but not bad either. Punk/Striker was actually decent IMO, it just had a crap finish. This week's show was better than last week.

    700th RAW thread

Raw was crap. I've had enough of celebrities on WWE tv. DX were NOT funny as usual, neither was Cena. King Booker is always great though! Orton/Triple H was crap. King Booker rules!

The I quit match was decent. I was expecting Rey to go over easily, and I'm glad WWE decided to do a total swerve by putting Chavo over, and decisively aswell. Regal works really well with Taylor(just like with Finlay). I'd love WWE to give them a strong push.

    oAo ECW on Sci-Fi Thread // October 17, 2006

Just like last week, this show sucked. It's a shame, given the fact that only a couple of weeks ago, we had great matches like Test/RVD. I'm just looking forward to when WWE finally puts the title back on RVD. I agree that the girl who did the promos with RVD and Big Show was awful. She has no talent whatsoever, but that's no surprise.

    Raw Thread - October 16th, 2006

This week's Raw was good. The opening segment was crap(like I said before, DX are not funny) Cryme Tyme's debut was decent(Shazz is certainly the more talented of the duo). I also enjoyed their segment with Booker(unlike DX, Cryme Tyme ARE funny!). The fatal four way was great(good match and decent spots). I don't see the point of the stipulation for the Cyber Sunday triple threat(unless WWE unifies the championships, it serves no purpose). Fedderline sold Cena's FU well. Umaga stiffing the Jackass boys was good(plus Estrada got some microphone time, which is always good). Orton/Triple H was crap. Overall, a decent show.
  10. A great show tonight. I agree with you benn, thank God we didn't see miz or the divas. The matches were great. While Raw is producing crap, Smackdown is giving us high quality wrestling. Smackdown rules!!!
  11. The show was crap. We didn't even get one good match. I already hate the fact that the divas are even on tv, let alone the focal point of the show. The divas are a waste of time.
  12. Raw was ok last night. It was great to see Anderson, Dibiase and IRS. WWE should move Kane to Smackdown(iIMO, a better choice than ECW). Great to see Benoit.

OAO No Mercy Thread - October/8th/2006.

No Mercy was a good PPV. There was only one bad match(MVP's squash). Great to see Benoit, and as usual he delivers a great match with Regal. Despite the weird finish, Taker/Kennedy was great. The fatal four way was also good. IMO, Hardy/Helms was better than their recent tv matches(as good as they were). The tag match was decent. This PPV was worth the money.

    OAO Smackdown Thread - October/6th/2006.

There not spoilers. It's because of the time difference. In the UK, Smackdown finishes before it starts in th US(in most cases). I post my thoughts about the show when it finishes here in the UK. Sorry if I spoiled the show for you though.

    OAO Smackdown Thread - October/6th/2006.

A good Smackdown tonight. Great to see Finlay beat Booker, but the match was too short. I'm looking forward to the fatal four way at No Mercy. Kennedy's promo was good. Overall, a good show.
  16. I just watched this week's show. RVD/Test was a great match. It wasn't quite as good as RVD/Holly, but it was still great. CM Punk should move way up the card, he's clearly over with the fans. At this stage, I don't see the point of putting him in a 2 minute match against a nobody.

    OAO RAW is War 10/2/06

I know I've said this before, but DX really is crap. They try to be funny, but their not. Nitro/Hardy was decent. Cena/Edge was ok. I actually thought WWE might put Edge over at one point. I wish they did.
  18. A good Smackdown tonight. JBL was funny on commentry(as usual!). The Pitbulls last match together was short but good. As I've said before, I'll miss the Pitbulls. Hardy/Chavo was decent. The main-event was good. Overall a good show.
  19. I watched this week's ECW last night. RVD/Holly was great! I've always known RVD was a great worker, but I was surprised at just how good Holly was. He really impressed me. IMO the whole match was good, not just the second half. As for the rest of the show, it sucked. CM Punk should have got some ring-time, instead of wasting time with the women's match. Bigshow/Sandman was crap. RVD/Holly was, without a doubt, the show stealer.

    Kid Kash released.

It's a shame. I really liked the Pitbulls. Noble will probably be stuck with the utterly crap gimmick that is Jimmy Wayne Yang. Either that or work a program with Helms. Kash will probably try his luck with TNA.

    OAO Raw Thread - September/25th/2006.

There were 2 things good about this week's Raw: 1. Eric Bischoff- great to see him again, even if it was short. 2. King Booker's court- Despite getting no heat from the crowd, I enjoyed Cena's beatdown.
  22. Wrestlefreak

    Boogeyman released

I always hated the Boogeyman gimmick, so I welcome this news. Now I hope the next person to get released is Khali followed by Eugene.
  23. Another great Smackdown. I loved the hot crowd. Batista-Lashley/Regal-Finlay was decent. Hardy/Helms was good. Pitbulls/London-Kendrick/K.C. James-Idol Stevens was solid. Taker/Booker was good. I'm looking forward to Taker/Kennedy at No Mercy. A great show, except for the diva crap and the Miz. At least Vito was left out.
  24. Unforgiven was an average PPV. Hardy/Nitro was great(Nitro was impressive). Kane/Umaga was crap, but at least Estrada got some microphone time. The tag match sucked. Mcmahons-Bigshow/DX crap. Carlito/Orton was good(the finish was great). Cena/Edge was good(decent spots and great crowd reaction). I wish WWE kept the championship on Edge(for ALOT longer), but at least now Cena won't ruin Smackdown. I predict tonight's Raw will suck even worse than usual now that Cena is champ again.
  25. Exactly. Vito sucks, and now there gonna put him in a main-event spot! He's nowhere near Booker's level. I agree they should have come up with something ALOT better than that. I don't think the problem is because Smackdown is on Fridays, it's just because WWE won't let go of the FALSE idea that Raw is superior. Smackdown always produces a better product overall.
