So Atlanta manages to get Teixeira and the Phillies get Kyle Lohse.... This is what i hate about the Phils organization they are afraid to take a risk and sign somebody that can actually help them get to the playoffs.

Curry robbed at gunpoint Former Bull Eddy Curry was robbed at gunpoint in his southwest suburban home early Saturday, less than a month after fellow NBA star Antoine Walker was victimized in a similar attack in Chicago. A law enforcement source called the similarities between the two incidents "striking" and said there was a strong likelihood that they were somehow connected. Curry, a 6-foot-11-inch center for the New York Knicks, was at his Burr Ridge mansion with three family members and an employee when the home invasion took place around 12:15 a.m. Saturday, Burr Ridge Police said in a statement. Three armed offenders wearing masks bound the 285-pound Curry and the other victims with duct tape and then fled with cash and jewelry. No one was injured. "We are interested in that case," Burr Ridge Deputy Police Chief John Madden said, adding that his department has been in contact with the Chicago Police Department. Chicago Police, meanwhile, maintained there are several similarities between the robberies. In each case, three armed robbers wearing masks were waiting inside the home and used duct tape to bind the NBA player. And in each case, jewelry was taken, police noted. But unlike the Walker robbery, during which the Miami Heat forward's Mercedes was stolen, no vehicles were taken from Curry's home. Walker was also ambushed in broad daylight, while Curry was robbed late at night. The robbers in the Walker stickup have not been caught, but a woman and man were later caught with two of Walker's watches and a diamond necklace, all of which had been taken in the holdup. Belmont Area Cmdr. Tom Byrne, whose Chicago Police detectives are heading up the investigation into the Antoine Walker robbery, said they will compare cases with Burr Ridge police. "We're making really good progress on ours," Byrne said. "Obviously we're going to keep in close contact with Burr Ridge. We'll work with them to look at the similarities." The Walker case received a flood of publicity, and it is possible Saturday's robbers in Burr Ridge were copycats. Sources said Chicago Police recovered "usable" footage from a security camera outside Walker's River North home. Burr Ridge police were reportedly reviewing security footage captured from a camera at Curry's mansion. Curry could not be reached for comment Saturday, but he told the Knicks the robbery was "a traumatic experience," according to a statement issued by the team. "We [are] aware of the situation and are very thankful that Eddy Curry and his family are safe," the Knicks statement said. Family and friends said Curry was doing fine. NBA security reportedly visited Curry's home after the robbery Saturday. Curry, 24, was a standout player at Thornwood High in South Holland who went on to be a top scorer for the Chicago Bulls. He was traded to the Knicks in 2005 after refusing to take a DNA test to determine if he had a heart condition. http://www.suntimes.com/news/metro/488658,...curry29.article

Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released
milliondollarchamp replied to Human Fly's topic in The WWE Folder
The supermarket tabloid "Globe" has what they are calling a "world exclusive" interview with Tom "Dynamite Kid" Billington, a man Chris Benoit idolized and patterned his career after. Billington claims to have warned Benoit about the dangers of steroids saying, "I warned Benoit to be careful - the wrong combination could send you over the edge. I'm convinced that's what happened here. He got it wrong, and his wife and son paid the price." Billington says Benoit was "puny" when he first met him, "But, like me, he was a bit puny at first and had to put on the weight if he was to survive. Steroids were the only answer." Billington lashed out at his former protege, "I feel no sympathy for him. We all knew the dangers. Benoit should have known his limits. We've all been through it, but we didn't take it out on our loved ones. His poor wife and child didn't deserve to die just because Beniot screwed his life up. I'm glad he's dead!" -

"Indy wrestler James Fawcett who went by Devil Bhudakhan, committed suicide by hanging himself on 7/12 or 7/13. According to reports, Fawcett idolized Chris Benoit and patterned his ring style after him. Apparently he was upset over his wife leaving him five weeks prior" -

How can somebody be SO incredibly stupid? Seriously. I really, REALLY wish she would do some jail time like Paris had to. You can only get so many DUI's, you can only get caught with coke so many times before SOMETHING has to be done. -
Thanks Chris

In the illustrious tradition of Jackass, MTV presents to you, Scarred I'm oddly fascinated with this show. I can't stop watching. Watching people breaking bones is fascinating. I also can't help but be thankful that my own are still intact (knock on wood). The guy whose testicle was ripped out of its sack was absolutely insane. I don't think there is a male on the Earth who could watch the video and not cringe
